The freight transportation is the most important part of the transportation system in an industry city. In this paper we tried to find the relationship between the economic development and location of DCs in an Industry city. First a model to determine the DCs location with the growing GDP was built. And then we would analyze the numerical example by ArcGIS.

Transaction data contain a large amount of information of individuals and entities. Publication of these data can provide important resources for researching such as association rule mining, recommendation systems and user behavior prediction ect. But on the other hand, it will compromise individual privacy. Recently, many works focus on privacy preserving transaction data publishing, especially on anonymous publishing. In this paper, we will systematically summarize and evaluate different anonymous approaches for transactional data publication.

This paper use VaR (value at risk) as the main risk measure and evaluate it by the quartile regression model, choosing the data from A share market for positive analysis. The results show that the VaR has decreased markedly since short selling mechanism was set up; the VaR series have remained volatile and displayed no trend without short selling mechanism; the VaR series have obvious decreasing tendency under short selling mechanism.
本文以VaR (value at risk)作为主要风险度量,采用四分位数回归模型对其进行评价,选取A股市场数据进行实证分析。结果表明:自卖空机制建立以来,VaR显著下降;没有卖空机制,VaR系列一直保持波动,没有趋势;在卖空机制下,VaR序列有明显的下降趋势。

This paper presents the results obtained in our research about application of advanced signal processing to GPS based position estimation. In order to improve the positioning precision of standalone GPS, we introduced the Kaiman Filter algorithm. They all get approximate GPS receiver position with the help of Bancroft method and computed observation error covariance matrix using algorithm of the Calilo data processing software. Kaiman Filter, which the correction to approximate GPS receiver position is as the filtering state vector and we take into account the state of GPS receiver and clock bias in static positioning. Results show the Kaiman Filter provide good estimation. Future research directions are also discussed.

We present a novel approach for discovering word categories, sets of words sharing a significant aspect of distributional context. We determine symmetric similarity of word pair, lexical category is then created based on graph-partitioning method. We train our model on a corpus of child-directed speech from CHILDES and show that the model successful learns word categories. Furthermore, a number of different measures have been proposed for evaluating computational models of category acquisition. In this paper, we propose a new measure that meets three criteria: informativeness, diversity and purity.

The infrastructure systems of power, natural gas, potable water are important parts of lifeline systems. As the complexity the systems are unavoidably disturbed by external and internal perturbations and may cause great disruptions, amplifying negative consequences. Reliability and vulnerability analysis of critical infrastructures for security considerations has become an important subject and some achievements have been acquired on this area. Since different infrastructure systems have different structures and operation mechanisms. A framework of analysis is necessary and seems to be needed. This paper takes power transmission network in a major city of China as example and develops a framework for the analysis of the vulnerability of the power network.

In light of the demand for global greenhouse gas control proposed in Kyoto Protocol as well as promoting the efficiency of energy use, a power control system is proposed in this study. A lot of lighting power in communal lavatories is not managed and controlled that it is likely to be lit for 24 hours, once it is switched on. When there is no one using the lavatory but the lighting power is still on, abundant power waste is caused. If the number of people using the lavatory can be sensed and calculated as well as the lights can be automatically switched off when it is not in-use, the power could be economized for quality power management and waste preclusion. Moreover, if the data of power utilization could be transmitted to the server host and recorded in the database with remote connection, not only could the situation and the characteristics of power utilization be analyzed, but the switch time could also be intelligently self-regulated.

It has been an important issue on how to get universities to better contribute to the innovation process, especially in the knowledge-based economy. No company can operate in every market and satisfy every need, and therefore companies do best when they define their target market carefully and prepare a tailored marketing program. We compare existing component technologies for marketing information systems with respect to industrial requirements. The requirements are collected from the massage chair industry, but our findings are applicable to similar industries developing for marketing information systems. The company needs to gather information about their target customers to aid them in developing products and services. All of these things are accomplished through marketing and marketing information systems. In this research, we developed a systematic procedure to identify decision-making criteria/performance indicators and a quantitative model to evaluate and compare the performance of medical technologies in Taiwan. The aim of developing such a modeling approach is intended to help enterprise executives (1) evaluate and choose new marketable value, and (2) monitor and improve the performance of existing products design. An empirical application has been conducted to explore and test the feasibility and applicability of the model.
