DVB-SH digital television transmission and its simulation in MATLAB DVB-SH数字电视传输及其MATLAB仿真

This paper deals with the MATLAB implementation of the DVB-SH (Digital Video Broadcasting — Satellite services to Handhelds) in AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) transmission channel. The paper is especially focused on the model DVB-SH-A, which is using configuration with OFDM transmission mode. For the simulation there was developed application and its functions are described in the paper too. By using this application the BER (Bit Error Ratio) after turbo decoding, with respecting the number of iterations, can be evaluated. Finally, obtained results are discussed.

Reference free SSIM estimation for full HD video content 参考免费SSIM估计全高清视频内容

This paper proposes a reference-free video quality estimation method for full high definition video services based on a structural similarity index. The design of our estimator is based on an artificial neural network. To achieve this, the neural network was trained with a set of video statistical parameters extracted from the most representative video contents. Moreover, estimations with neural networks allow higher applicability and require lower processing power as known reference based methods. Finally, the achieved correlation between the calculated and the estimated structural similarity index shows a very good fit.

Light propagation in turbid media: Application to biological tissues 混浊介质中的光传播:在生物组织中的应用

The analysis of the propagation of light through media is fundamental for a great variety of applications, including non-guided or fiber-based guided optical communications, industrial optical cutting or welding, and biomedical optics. These applications employ sometimes heterogeneous turbid media, such as ocean water, the atmosphere or biological tissues. Turbid media present both strong absorption and scattering. As a consequence light propagation in turbid media is a complex and challenging problem. This is specially relevant in optical treatment and diagnosis of biological tissues. In this work, we describe different approaches to the calculus of light propagation in turbid media. Light-matter general interaction is first considered. Turbid media are described by means of fundamental optical properties. Special attention is paid to scattering due to its complexity. Biological tissues are classified and the most relevant morphological and optical characteristics are described. Several light propagation models are proposed, applied to the most common biological tissues, and compared. The results are essential for an adequate planning of safe optical treatments, in which no collateral damage is produced, and for obtaining high-resolution images of pathologies in order to provide an early diagnosis.

Data fusion from UWB radar network: Preliminary experimental results 超宽带雷达网络数据融合:初步实验结果

In this paper, we present the data fusion procedure for ultra wideband (UWB) radar-based tracking of moving persons. It extends a previously proposed complex radar signal processing procedure for multiple target scenarios designed for single through wall UWB radar with small antenna array. The performance of introduced approach is illustrated and validated by the scenario in which two moving persons are detected and tracked by a UWB radar network consisting of two independent radar systems. These preliminary experimental results confirm improvement of target observability whereby the low complexity of the original procedure is preserved.

M-APSK modulation for SC-FDMA communication systems SC-FDMA通信系统的M-APSK调制

This paper investigates the application of Amplitude Phase Shift Keying (APSK) modulation in the nonlin-early distorted Long Term Evolution (LTE) uplink. APSK is recognized as spectrally efficient baseband modulation scheme, which is already adopted in several standards for digital video broadcasting, including e.g. Digital Video Broadcasting Satellite-Second Generation (DVB-S2). However, its application in the LTE standard has not been studied yet. Therefore, the motivation of this paper is to elaborate on the APSK performance in the LTE uplink and to provide the comparison with already standardized QAM modulation scheme. As the numerical results presented in this paper indicate, the applicaton of APSK modulation scheme is beneficial specially in highly nonlinearly distorted scenarios.

A band monitor for a cubesat-type satellite 用于立方体卫星的波段监测器

During changing sun activity, the ionosphere is responding accordingly and therefore it is interesting to observe the propagation behavior of shortwave bands. For the above mentioned purpose we are designing a monitoring payload for an experimental cubesat satellite called PSAT. The payload consists of a receiver, which is able to receive SSB modulated narrowband signals in 28 MHz uplink band and a transmitter with FM modulation in UHF downlink frequency band. The receiver frequency is selected to be at the center of radio amateur activity with low data rate digital modulations.

Efficiency of the class B-CE and class B-CC high-voltage wideband amplifiers with a capacitive load 带容性负载的B-CE类和B-CC类高压宽带放大器的效率

The design of high-voltage wideband amplifiers for excitation of ultrasonic actuators and transmitters has problem with limited slew-rate for full range excitation. This problem is connected with value of total power dissipation of transistors, especially for the advantageous class B stage with common emitters. The power dissipation of transistor is substantially dependent on phase shift of capacitive load especially for high frequency range. This paper solves the dependency of the power dissipation and efficiency on phase shift of load and by this way it enables to solve optimum solution of problems connected with this effect. Especially, the maximum slew-rate can be attained by optimum choose of transistors.

Time domain analysis for high frequency applications in the field of EMC compliance measurements: Novel method to trace transient RF disturbances 电磁兼容测量领域高频应用的时域分析:跟踪瞬态射频干扰的新方法

Time Domain Measurements have been used for several years in frequency applications below 1 GHz and very suitable to measure transient and time limited disturbing RF signals. The new generation of High speed Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) in combination with analogue digital converters and RF down converters enable measurements with high precision. The achievable measurement accuracy is directly comparable to high end RF test receivers with the conventional super heterodyne design. The achieved measurement accuracy could be used to design CISP 16–1–1 compliant digital RF receivers. The additional technical features like real time spectrum and high speed Quasi Peak detector measurements open new analysis methods to understand RF disturbances. Typical examples of complex RF signals which have to be measured under CISPR standards are all automotive electronic modules which are controlling the internal communication bus system, internal RF devices (automotive WLAN, UMTS, GSM, WCDMA, MIMO, multiband smart phones, Net-books) and all on board regenerative energy systems using high power switching devices like Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBT), or inverters.

This communication introduces a CUDA-enabled GPU accelerated technique for broadband analysis of arbitrary 3D conducting body-wire radiating/scattering structure. The solution is based on the integral equation dis-cretized by the method of moments (MoM) with the use of RWG-type basis functions. Wide-band data are generated from MoM simulation employing an adaptive frequency sampling of the observed quantity, and supported by implicit rational macromodelling via Stoer-Bulirsch algorithm. Numerical results are given for a helical antenna with a cylindrical cup reflector. The GPU-CUDA offers a speedup ratio nearly 9× over the CPU implementation.

Superconducting RSFQ logic: Towards 100GHz digital electronics 超导RSFQ逻辑:迈向100GHz数字电子学

The Rapid Single-Flux-Quantum logic (RSFQ) presents an efficient way to achieve ultra fast digital operations. This logic uses the macroscopic effects which can be found in nano-structured superconductor devices such as the Josephson AC and DC effects, and the magnetic flux quantization. As the typical time of the Josephson junction quantized phase leap 2π is in the order of picoseconds, the RSFQ circuits can operate with clock frequencies in the order of hundreds of GHz. This invited paper focuses on basic principles of superconducting RSFQ logic as well as on typical applications, such as the signal conversion or petaflops computing systems. In addition we point out the benefits of the semi-metallic NbN-TaxN-NbN Josephson junction technology, which has been developed at CEA-INAC in Grenoble.
