Japanese tourists perception about India as tourist destination 日本游客对印度旅游目的地的看法

This study explores the determinants of brand image of India for Japanese tourists. The concepts of branding, image and India as a tourist destination have been reviewed. As well as a thorough study on Tourism Industry in India, its development scenarios and tourist arrival pattern were conducted. This paper also investigates the changes of tourist perception about India after the spend a considerate amount of time in our country. Analysis in the study was based on data collected from 851 Japanese tourists, based on a questionnaire floated to capture the perception of destination branding. Factor analysis was conducted on the data so collected, to arrive at the important factors affecting the Brand Image of India as a tourist destination.

HR facilitating approach through strategic knowledge perspective - A case study approach 通过战略知识视角的人力资源促进方法-案例研究方法

Strategic HR practices are known to impact an organisation’s capability to manage knowledge. These linkages have been postulated theoretically but there is a dearth of empirical evidence for such impacts. This paper, through an intervention undertaken at a large organisation, illustrates this linkage. We show how a new HR practice can be a tool for effectively managing knowledge. The paper extends the knowledge management literature by including the effectiveness of HR practices and setting up new ways of innovative knowledge management, which can be useful for scholars as well as practitioners.

Impact of use communication technologies after working hours on work life balance and organisational commitment 下班后使用通讯科技对工作与生活平衡及组织承诺的影响

With the advancement of communication technologies, staying connected to the workplace when out of the office is becoming more and more possible. Technology improvements have made it possible for employees to work remotely, either entirely or partially, on some or all their tasks. Such advancements in communication have significantly lowered the distance between personal and professional lives. However, little is known about how using these communication tools after-hours may affect results related to important areas of the workplace and work-life balance. The main objective of this work is to determine how identified communication technology applications affect organisational commitment, work-life balance, and plans to leave the company.

Academia and Industry are critical pillars of our economy. The collaboration between Academia & Industry to a great extent helps in acquiring a better Ranking by accreditation agencies, growth & employment opportunities, research & development avenues etc. A productive interface between industry and academia, in the present times of knowledge economy, is a critical requirement. The dynamic nature of Industry and academic world has the responsibility of developing concepts and theory on the same lines to keep pace with the changing environment. Collaboration between industry and academia is relatively less and common paradigms are less explored. This research aims to examine the Industry and Academia Collaboration to explore new areas of growth with special reference to B- Schools and focuses on how this can help in the growth of Higher Education Institutions (HEI).

Acclimatization of spirituality in leadership and management 在领导和管理中适应灵性

The advent of organizational spirituality is the manifestation of the spirituality in certain context and the integration of personal values and beliefs with professional roles and responsibilities. Spiritual leaders help employees connect their work with a sense of purpose and meaning. They articulate a compelling vision that aligns with employees’ personal values and inspires them to contribute to a higher purpose. Comparatively, there has been less stress given so far, on how spirituality could be a tool in increasing and developing effective leadership within an organization. Spiritually oriented leaders foster an inclusive environment that respects and appreciates diverse perspectives, beliefs, and backgrounds. Leaders who integrate spirituality in the workplace emphasize ethical decision-making. Impact of the decision is based on the values of the employee, customer, community and make choices that align with their values and principles. Therefore, if primary areas of spirituality are mended then diverse dimensions of leadership can be improved.

Bouc-Wen model with machine learning for SISO and MIMO nano-positioning system 基于机器学习的SISO和MIMO纳米定位系统Bouc-Wen模型

Most of the application in present world have taken ‘Nano’ as a part of their near future implementation. In Nano-Positioning System (NPS) mechanical dynamics are handled at Nano scale. Designing a precision NPS is a greater challenge. Modified linearized Bouc-Wen(BW) model gives the better hysteresis, static and dynamic behavior. In this work SISO (Sıngle-input Sıngle-Output) and MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) models of NPS are designed. Previously, system was basically designed to handle conventional macro level dynamics and the same has been extended to handle Nano scale in this work. Kalman Filtering is included to achieve very sustainable results in NPS. The NPS is designed in MATLAB/Simulink with 3 types of electrical signals. Each design is compared using various performance parameters. Machine learning process is included to suggest the appropriate input voltage level sui to obtain desired displacement.

An analysis of behavioural biases in investment decision making 投资决策中的行为偏差分析

The psychological biases cause participants in the financial market to feel uneasy and unfavourable, which causes them to act impulsively. Against this backdrop, this study attempted to investigate the connection between behavioural bias and financial decision-making for stock market investors. This study is sample-based and the sample of the study has been stock market investors from Rajasthan. Our results confirm that behavioural bias plays a significant role in explaining investment decisions. Specifically, we find a positive relationship between overconfidence bias, optimism bias, disposition bias and home bias on investment decision-making and a significant negative relationship between herding bias on investment decision making. These results imply that investor psychology plays an important role in investment decision-making.

Workplace flexibility has been regarded as a way to increase employee well-being. Workplace flexibility has many facets, and it is essential to have a unified scale to measure its effectiveness towards the same. Workplace flexibility has been studied in many different contexts to quantify its significance in light of other factors. This study aims at developing a scale to measure the overall score on workplace flexibility in the Indian context. The study incorporates various items highlighted in the literature review, modifying them in the Indian context and testing its overall validity and reliability using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The study has been done on the Indian Information Technology, and Information Technology enabled Services Industry. The study can further be advanced to explore its effects in light of other industry-specific factors. It can help identify the perception of employees towards various workplace flexibility options.

However, the churn of the players is becoming a significant concern as it is challenging to predict whether a player will churn or not, impacting business revenue. In this research, authors tried to solve this problem by predicting the player churn in advance using predictive analytics, thereby enabling the business owners to undertake steps to prevent player churn resulting in revenue stability. To achieve this, the authors collected the data from online and gaming platforms and then applied various pre-processing steps such as data conversion to make data suitable to use and then tested and applied a machine learning-based model for prediction by selecting churn period as the threshold value. Finally, various classifiers, such as logistic regression, were applied to predict whether a player will churn. The results were very satisfactory, as predicting churn with perfect accuracy was possible. The decision tree provides the best results, which were proximately 99.1 %, and other algorithms like logistic regression, random forest, and Adaboost gave predictive results of 96.86 %, 95.47 %, and 98.8 %, respectively. The accuracy of all the models has also been summarised. Hence, by making predictions in advance, the online platforms will take preventive measures to minimize the churn of players and increase revenue accordingly.

Competition and evolving customers motivate fashion apparel retailers to adopt new survival strategies and provide a memorable experience. This study investigates the acceptance of digital signage among Generation Z. The researchers surveyed 254 participants on the most noticeable change from traditional signage to digital signage. Based on the significant change, the adoption of digital signage was studied using the extended UTAUT framework with additional constructs of engagement, vividness, and relative advantage. Visual merchandisers should pay attention to the vividness of videos, ads, and promotions of fashion apparel.
