Recent advancements in a new era of e-health and telemedicine technologies present newer opportunities for sharing medical data when an open communication channel is used. However, this exchange is facing critical challenges of copyright protection, content authentication, and integrity verification. Therefore, due to the high demand for safe manipulation of patient’s medical information, digital watermarking is required, as a value-added tool, for secure medical data management. In this study, a new reversible watermarking technique for the security of medical videos is proposed. The patient identity is embedded, as a watermark, into the host medical videos. An algorithm is adopted for selecting the optimal frames in each video shot. This approach includes the use of polynomial transform methods, in order to identify the best watermark embedding areas in the optimal frames. Experimental results demonstrate high imperceptibility of the watermark and strong robustness against different attacks. Hence, our algorithm validates the security measures that ensure an effective manipulation of medical videos.

In this work the Meshfree with radial basis functions is elaborated to solve Kolmogorov-Feller (KF) equation associated to stochastic differential equations excited by a Poissonian white noise with uncertain parameters. The general polynomial chaos method is also elaborated to compare the results obtained when the exact solution not available. The accuracy and the effective of these methods are demonstrated.

Documents in an ERP system flow from different sources (customer, supplier, etc.) and can have different layouts, sizes and subjects (invoices, delivery forms, checks, etc.). The classification of these documents is usually done manually before being saved in the ERP system or processed by an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) engine. In this paper, we investigate using different deep convolutional neural networks (CNN) to extract deep features from images of scanned documents. The extracted features are further processed using various machine learning classifiers such as Logistic Regression (LR), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Gaussian Naive Bayes (GNB). Different metrics were used (accuracy, precision, etc.) and examined to compare all models performances, while cross-validation approach at different folds sizes (4, 6, 8 and 10) was used to assess their generalization ability. The effect of dimensionality reduction techniques on overall performances was also explored. The best classification rate was 96.1%, which was achieved by combining LR and the VGG19 model. This very good performance despite the small dataset used (200 images) can allow using this approach in an ERP system as a preprocessing step in document manipulation for ERP users.

This paper presents a new technique to generate a digital Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) control using PIC16F876 microcontroller. This technique is mainly used to control the DC/AC inverter output voltage in many applications such as photovoltaic pumping system and motor drive. It reduces significantly low harmonic components as well as distortion factor. The principle of this method is to transform the sampled dc-biased sine wave signal to a repeating pulses train. The widths of these pulses vary sinusoidally and thus as adigital SPWM. The different amplitude modulations index started from 0.5 unti11.3 (over modulation) with 1 kHz switching frequency was implemented and tested. The literature review of the existing digital SPWM techniques is presented firstly. Subsequently the proposed SPWM approach is briefly detailed. Finally, experimental results are presented to demonstrate the validity of this SPWM method and the good functionality of the realized control unit.

PVC is increasingly used in different fields. This means increased use that automatically implies - after the lifetime - an increase in waste, which requires an increase in the recycling rate. This paper proposes an approach to analyse samples of recycled PVC material (rigid and flexible), subject to two types of accelerated aging. Rigid PVC samples are exposed to a continuous temperature of 55°C and UV (ultraviolet) for 15 days, and the flexible PVC samples are exposed to the same temperature with UV exposure generated by a lamp in two ways, samples are exposed to a continuous temperature for 7 days, others are exposed to an intermittent temperature for the same duration, 104 minutes simulating the day, then cooling to room temperature for 104 minutes to simulate the night, the system is controlled by an Arduino Uno board to generate the delay.Numerical modeling is carried out using the finite element method and was able to confirm the results obtained experimentally

This work focuses on the leaching process of rare earth elements (REEs) from phosphor powder (PP) in order to reach optimal conditions of REEs recovery. Investigated PP was characterized in our previous work, after recovering from waste linear tube fluorescent lamps (FLs). Hydrochloric acid effect on leaching efficiency of REEs from PP is studied. Response surface methodology is used to determine the optimum leaching conditions. Obtained results show that, using 24.S% (v/v) HC1 at 90ºC, 140ml/gL/S ratio and 3h of leaching time, 99% of yttrium is leached out from the studied PP. Due to the highest content of major contaminant (calcium) present in obtained leach liquor, leachant agent (HC1) employed in this study may affect subsequent processes.

This article deals with the power generation control in variable speed wind turbines. In this context, a control strategy is proposed to ensure power extraction optimization of a DFIG-based wind turbine. The proposed control strategy combines an MPPT using a high gain observer and second-order sliding mode for the DFIG control. This strategy presents control to the uncertainties of DFIG modeling, which maximizes efficiency of energy production. This strategy is been validated on a 1.5 Mw wind turbine using the simulator Matlab-simulink. For step and random wind speed profile, we get perfect convergence of the electromagnetic torque and cancellation of the reactive power to the stator. The unit cos $varphi$ and the rate of distortion obtained improves the quality of the currents generated on the Grid and optimizes the efficiency of the conversion chain.

It is one of the most important integral system and always on high priority for research to improve driving conditions. This work is analysis the comparison of stepped rod, stepped taper rod and taper rod to absorb vibrations due to uneven roads profile or pits. Various parameters like shear stress, deformation and strain energy are evaluated using ANSYS and comparison has been made among the selected profiles.

In this paper, we present an application of a pole placement technique related to the stability analysis for a linear constrained system. In this regard some of the main approaches that have been used in the last decades dealing with the pole placement will be engaged. Concepts and methods involved in this work include positive invariance as an efficient notion for the pole placement amelioration of a modern SISO system. The state feedback will enhance the stabily of the closed loop system under the notion of constrained control. For this aim, a greenhouse system, is engaged and a linear discrete time state space model, which fits properly the acquired data of the greenhouse, was identified by the mean of the subspace system identification (N4sid) algorithm. The obtained model will be used in order to develop and calculate the state feedback gain based on the so-called Sylvester algebric equation and one of the pole placement techniques algorithm to ameliorate the closedloop pole placement of the system with constraints on the control.
