The article deals with complex analysis of myocardial fibrosis. Myocardial fibrosis is standardly examined by MRI. MRI generates image data with higher resolution but data are monochromatic. Due to this fact it is complicated to recognize individual object from images. Furthermore there is not any clinical software which would be able to objectify examination in the sense of extraction area of myocardial fibrosis. The proposed algorithm allows transformation area of myocardial fibrosis to color scale and thus it creates mathematical model of fibrosis. Mathematical model of myocardial fibrosis conclusively recognize area and manifestation of observed object. The proposed segmentation procedure serves for effective feedback for clinicians in the context assessing diagnosis.

This study investigates reference books held in (1) Japanese libraries with a high number of reference transactions and (2) libraries that consider reference services as important. The results show that the Encyclopedia of Modern Japanese Literature and the Encyclopedia of Japanese People were held in these types of libraries or municipalities. The Encyclopedia of News in the Meiji Era and the Techno Atlas of Japan were popular at relatively small municipality libraries, such as those in cities, towns, and villages, whereas the Series of Pandect of Modern Japanese Literary was popular in large municipality libraries, such as those in prefectures and special wards.

According to the phenomenon of MOOCs gained widespread exposure in the U. S. academic world, the infusion of MOOCs into traditional education has become a new trend in Taiwan since 2013. By February 2016, more than 170,000 learners have registered for various MOOC Chinese course platforms, and these platforms have collected more than 500 MOOC Chinese courses. Given that large number of partners and registers are using various MOOC Chinese course platforms, MOOCs have greatly affected education in Taiwan. Besides the government-funding projects, the industry in Taiwan also devoted to the development of MOOCs through providing free MOOCs platforms. The cooperation among industry and government have focused on reforming the spirit of Taiwan's education by applying MOOC courses at all education levels to realize flipped classroom. Observing the MOOCs movement in Taiwan, MOOCs pose a new means of self-regulated learning from K-12 education to higher education levels.

It is more difficult to activate text based discussions than face-to-face discussions because participants tend to hesitate give their opinions. To activate text based discussions, it is necessary for participants to give their opinions many times. We suppose that participants will give their opinions if questions are thrown to discussions. This paper proposes an agent that throws questions automatically in text based discussions. The questions are generated from comments posted by discussion participants previously in a discussion. The agent chooses a comment including a word that appears frequently in previous posted comments. The agent adds “why” or “how” to the beginning of the chosen comment, then the agent throws the comment as a question to the discussion participants. We experimentally verified that the agent could activate discussions by throwing questions.

It is an ongoing issue for all companies to determine how to satisfy customers continuously. Customer satisfaction has been broadly discussed as an indicator generally utilized to improve goods/services for customer retention. Since information and communication technology (ICT) is rapidly developing in every field, companies should capture customers' changes of mind or underlying dissatisfaction factors concerning ICT services adequately, and determine what the company should do next. For this reason, the transitional evaluation approach is needed for goods/services related to ICT when considering the change of circumstances in addition to the evaluation, which merely finds items with a high dissatisfaction score. This paper focuses on e-Books, which have recently become popular worldwide. Several approaches to finding improving factors for e-Books are reviewed and compared in this paper.

The coalition structure generation problem is now a big issue in the field of multi-agent systems. With many agents working in the same environment, cooperation may become a key point to complete a mission efficiently. This problem can also be found in many areas such as sensor networks, multi-robot systems, and even e-commerce. However, it has been proved to be NP-complete to find an optimal solution. In the paper, a stochastic algorithm called double-layered ant colony optimization is proposed to deal with the task-oriented coalition structure problem. Then, we evaluate the solution quality by comparing it with the optimal solutions derived by CPLEX. The results indicate that even though this method cannot guarantee the optimal solution, it can find a coalition structure that is good enough within a reasonably short time.

Enterprises had begun gradually to value the impacts of ecological hazards in their operations. Environmental pressures have caused green supply chain management (GSCM) to emerge as an important corporate environmental strategy for manufacturing enterprises. For manufacturers to fully realize the performance potentials of GSCM that could give any influences to their performance especially in competitive advantage, the objective of this study is to explore the interaction patterns among the GSCM implementation success factors from a coalignment perspective. We conceptualize the “consistency” among the factors that facilitate GSCM implementation and evaluate them in terms of their positive impacts on obtaining competitive advantage.

In this contribution the topic of contrast media in selected radiodiagnostic examinations is discussed. The main outcome and benefit is the software application for automatic calculation of the optimal (total) dose of contrast media in radiodiagnostic examinations. The software application has been developed in the C# language platform. The calculator is based on theoretical foundations of contrast media administration and designed to provide an intuitive support in clinical practice. The application includes both calculation of the optimal dose of contrast medium in milliliters and calculation of glomerular filtration. The critical laboratory values patient adverse reaction alert system is embodied in the application.

To take care of students who were taught insufficiently in high schools and junior high schools, we have recently established the follow-up program aimed at helping students who need basic learning and aimed at assisting teachers who have to engage in teaching a variety of educational students. The follow-up systems are recognized as a part of the follow-up program, and consist of the learning check testing, follow-up program testing, and collaborative work testing. These testing systems use a large number of structured problem items installed in the database (i.e., item bank). In this paper, we introduce the database system configuration and show how we have constructed the database. The novel aspect is the item registration scheme. The databases were constructed by expertise such as mathematics professors in a way of collaborative work. For one subject teaching in one semester, such as Analysis or Linear Algebra, more than 20 sections are covered, and more than 50 problem items to each section are collected from the contributors.

The purpose of this paper is to identify how the usage of mobile information services (MIS) contribute to quality of life for young Japanese users. We examined relationships between individual life domains and the domain of overall quality of life based on bottom-up spillover theory. Questionnaire surveys were conducted via online among young Japanese mobile student users of a university. We obtained the data of 107 effective respondents. Comprehensive analyses of the relationships between constructs were conducted by PLS-SEM, of which analytical method is appropriate for a model of non-established nature with many constructs and a small sample size. Results from this study clearly indicated that the relationship between individual contribution and overall contribution are valid and reliable to analyze. Contribution to the leisure life has the highest influence on the overall contribution for Japanese young adults. Further, there were some changes between in 2013 and in 2015 with more positive significant individual domains in the descending order as follows: cultural life, community life, informational life, home-healthcare life, financial life, trustworthy life, health life, and safety life.
