In recent period of time Novel Corona virus has become the center point of attraction, due to it pandemic effect on the entire world. This pandemic disease has taken about a million of life and still its outbreak is continued. News reports have been addressing its origin in China by consumption of bats which were af-fected by Novel Corona virus (SARS-CoV2). Its spread in the entire world was a shock and the actual fact was unrevealed. Human beings live in an environment which is filled with various bacteria, fungus, virus and different types of animals since early life. But how this new bacteria or viruses get erupted, it is noth-ing but the effect of rapid modernization and urbanization. Since modernization and change in lifestyle of an individual is related to increase in demand of products which has forced the bar towards artificial world. Nature has been deteriorated for fulfilling the needs but still it is insufficient and in result natural energy /immunity is replaced by artificial. So human beings are more depended on artificial antibodies to safe-guard themselves when they are attacked by different viruses or bacteria. China is a classic example of ar-tificial food production and consumption state, so their people immunity is severely hampered, that result in the outbreak of virus. Similarly, this virus is affecting the entire world but still we have measures to fight this disease is by raising our immunity power. This can be done properly when we understand the disease in a better manner. Ayurveda is the natural science, which helps us to understand the disease and the measure to increase immunity accordingly.

Addiction is habitual psychological or physiological dependence on a substance or practice that is beyond voluntary control. It is a chronic brain disease that causes compulsive substance use despite harmful consequences. Addiction causes widespread harmful effect to human being along with its social consequences. The term addiction does not only refer to dependence on substance such as heroin or alcohol. A person who cannot stop taking a particular drug or chemical has substance dependence. In Ayurveda every human being is considered a combination of both mind and body. The perfect balance of mind, body and soul is considered ideal health in Ayurveda and is the result of a pure body and selfless mind. There are specific mental treatments in Ayurveda to cure physical problems as well as mental disorders. The mental attitude of a person plays an important role in the caring process. Even modern medical science admits that there is a direct co-relation between a healthy mind and healthy body. Ayurveda helps in an addict’s long-term recovery by changing their lifestyle rather than simply giving them a pill to swallow. Ayurvedic therapy is generally accomplished through a careful diet, herbal medicines, exercise, massage therapy, personal counseling and forms of Yoga. Present article is aimed to explore all the possible treatment modalities from the treasure of Ayurved texts which may be used for de-addiction

The most important and widely used emetic is ‘Madanaphala yoga’ administered orally. While further elaborating the Vamana Karma classics also mentions that the persons who are reluctant to take medicine orally can be made to emit by giving the medicine as an errhine. With this classical background, the present study made an attempt to understand the olfactory route of medicine administration to induce Vamana against the oral route. Madanaphala (Randia Dumatorum) seed powder sprinkled over lotus and rose flow-er were used as Ghreya Vamaka Yoga in comparison with Madanaphala Yoga administered orally. Objec-tives: To evaluate the efficacy of Ghreya Yoga in inducing Vamana through Nasal Route. To evaluate the Olfaction effect through Rose medium, in comparison with Lotus medium. To evaluate the efficacy of Na-sal route as against the Oral route. Methods: A Comparative clinical study done on 45 subjects of both sexes, between the age group of 21-50years who were randomly assigned into 3 groups namely- Group-A, Group-B and Group-C. Vamana karma with Ghreya Madanaphala Pippali Churna sprinkled on lotus flower, rose flower and Madanaphala pippali yoga administered orally. The Vamana karma was done in the following order: Purva karma, Pradhana karma & Paschat karma. After the completion of the thera-py, the results were assessed by comparing the data collected during the therapy. Result: Nasal route of administration of Vamaka yoga also works efficiently, Ghreya yoga worked in par with oral yoga & Madanaphala Pippali Churna sprinkled over lotus and rose produced same effect in inducing Vamana.

Dushivisha is an important concept in Vishatantra. It is a low potent poison which gets vitiates due to dushit Desh, Kala, Anna and Diwaswapna which are similar to the factors like industrialization, seasonal variation, synthetic food items, changing lifestyle. Now a day’s due to this lifestyle of a modern man, im-mune system of a person declines and leads to evolution of various diseases out of which allergic skin dis-eases are common. Dushivisha is a peculiar poison which vitiates Dhatus. In its relation with Rakta Dhatu some of the skin problems caused by Dushivisha which are described in Samhitas are Kustha, Visarpa, Bhinna Varna, Shonitdusti, Shitapitta, Udarda, Kotha. These symptoms are similar as that of hypersensi-tivity reactions. Udarda-Sheetapitta-Kotha has almost similar symptomatology and causative factors as Ur-ticaria. Asatmya, Virudhahara and Dushivisha are common etiological factors for these diseases which can be correlated with allergic conditions. So, various types of allergic skin diseases can be taken under Dushi-visha Janya Twak Vikar (Shitapitta-Udarda-Kotha). Urticaria affects 20% of people at some or the other time in their life. So, on looking at the increased incidence rate of allergic skin diseases, it’s a need to find some conservative source which would be helpful in management of skin diseases from the root by cleans-ing vitiated Dhosha and balancing whole body. Ksharagad mentioned in Charak Samhita is one of those formulations helpful to prevent such diseases by its actions like Kusthgna, Krimghna, Shothhar, Kandugh-na, Twachya, Tridoshahar properties, increasing immunity and suppressing allergic activity.

Introduction - Glycyrrhiza glabra Linn. is a perennial herb of family Leguminoseae, used very extensively in Ayurveda classics. It is having property of aphrodisiac, trichogenous, expectorant, haemostatic, intellect promoting etc. Objective – Objective of this study to examine the Pharmacognastical and Phytochemical properties of Glycyrrhiza glabra Linn. Material and Method – Dry sample of Glycyrrhiza was collected from Market. The qualitative microscopy, phytochemical screening, physicochemical evolution and TLC studies were carried out according to the standard procedure recommended by API and other standards. Result –The sample is having sweetish taste, faint and characteristic odour, externally dark brown in colour and internally golden yellow. Cork, Phellogen and Phelloderm, Secondary phloem, Cambium, Secondary xylem, Medullary rays and Pith are present in microscopic examinations, from outer to inner side. Cork (in surface view), Tangentially cut medullary ray cells, Fragment of vessel, Calcium Oxalate Crystals, Starch, Mucilage were seen in powder microscopy. pH value of test sample was 5.73. Water Soluble Extractive value (25.0064%) was more than Alcohol Soluble Extractive value (12.7398 %). Total ash value of test sample was 6.131 %. Acid insoluble ash value was 0.79 %, Water soluble ash value was 1.819 %. In TLC, Rf values were found 0.23, 0.58, 0.71 after derivatization with vanillin – Sulphuric acid reagent. Car-bohydrate, alkaloid, amino acid, tannin, protein, saponin, glycosides, flavonoids and tannin were present in the sample. Conclusion - test sample of Glycyrhiza complies all standard when matches with the reference standard book. It suggests that test sample is authentic and without any impurities and adulteration.

In today's era Amvata has emerged as a challenging entity as it comes under the umbrella of Yapya or Kric-chrasadhya (not easy to treat) category which has no permanent cure but quality of life can be improved to a great extent through Ayurveda management as compared to contemporary modern treatment which has yet not found significant remedy along with a lots of side effects Objective-So here a case study has been presented which was conducted in our hospital in which patient was treated with Avasthanusar (Stagewise) multifaceted approach in Ayurvedic management which may be effective in treating the disease. Materials and Methods- patient aged 27 with typical signs and symptoms of Amvata as per classical and modern texts and his VAS Scores (Visual Analogue Scale), RA factor, CRP, Uric acid levels confirmed the diagno-sis. Outcomes – patient showed significant improvement in both objective and subjective parameters. Con-clusion - Avasthanusar (Stagewise) multifaceted approach in Ayurvedic management of Amavata may be effective in treating the disease.

Globally it is a high research is currently going on and need of suitable approach for the best treatment for corona virus 2 (SARS CoV 2). It is a pandemic and highly contagious entire mankind is suffering. Corona-viruses are single stranded positive-sense RNA viruses that possess large viral RNA genomes. Sequence analysis showed that the 2019-nCoV possesses a typical genome structure of coronavirus and belongs to the cluster of beta corona viruses. In Covid 19 outbreak, enhancing one own’s defence system (immunity) plays an important role in maintaining best health. According to Ayurveda, without the vitiation of any of three Dosha, no disease can occur, so balance of three dosha should be maintain for good hygiene. As Ayurveda described several immunity booster herbal drugs. Ayurved envisages the root of cause for any illnesses. Ayurveda is likely to provide evidence-based medicine for preventive health care and enhance the self-immunity. Many researchers perhaps the whole world is looking for a effective drug or safe and effective vaccine for covid-19 which should be cost effective, easily available. A better Prevention through Ayurveda approach can be achieved in this pandemic of covid-19., as globally it is now accepted therapy for the prevention of covid and also used as immunity booster.

Irritable bowel syndrome is a common functional gastrointestinal disorder with no identifiable structural abnormality. It is characterized by abdominal pain or discomfort and altered bowel habits as major symp-toms. IBS accounts for more than 40% of new referrals to gastroenterology outpatient clinics. Diagnosis is done by Rome IV criteria. Etiology and pathogenesis is not clearly understood. In Ayurveda it can be man-aged with the concept of Grahani. The basic Samprapthi is at the level of Grahani and Pakwasaya which is as a result of Agnidushti. The symptoms of IBS are Tridoshaja with a Vatha predominance. Vatha has Sthanika importance also as Pakwasaya is the seat of Vatha. So, medicines with Deepana, Pachana, Anu-lomana and Grahi properties are ideal. Satwavajaya Chikitsa (psychotherapy) is helpful because of the involvement of psychological factors. Diet and lifestyle modifications with exercises and relaxation tech-niques have added benefit in the management since it has a chronic and relapsing nature.

Introduction: Worldwide prevalence rate of COVID-19 is increasing day wise, and estimated at 6.6% in the Indian population in August 2020, the curable medicine and immunization for COVID-19 is not availa-ble yet. The disease COVID-19 can be compared with Janapadodhansa Vyadhi (Epidemic) mentioned in Ayurveda. Panchakarma therapies are advised in Janapadodhansa Vyadhi. Virus is very prominent, and it is the common cause mentioned in both. The Ayurved fraternity and people have fear about Panchakarma therapies in the COVID-19 era. Aim: need of current situation is to find applicability effectiveness of Pan-chakarma therapies. Methodology: By critical literary search of Classical Ayurvedic texts, electronic me-dia, PubMed, indexed Journal, Google scholar is carried out and observations were recorded. Observation and Results: Panchakarma helps to increase Bala (Immunity) and improves immunomodulation effect of Rasayana (Rejuvenation) medicine. Fever, Headache, Common cold, Cough, Dyspnea, these are common symptoms found in COVID-19 and Panchakarma therapies are indicated in the same. Conclusion: Pan-chakarma Therapies, are independently advocated for improvement of Bala (Immunity) and as a preopera-tive measure for improving immunomodulation property of Rasayana (Rejuvenation) medicines. These principles of Panchakarma Therapies can be applied in prevention and treatment of COVID- 19 disease.
