More and more people are earing about the health and medical diagnosis problems. However, according to the administration's report, more than 200 thousand people in China, even 100 thousand in USA, die each year due to medication errors. More than 42% medication errors are caused by doctors because experts write the prescription according to their experiences which are quite limited. Technologies as data mining and recommender technologies provide possibilities to explore potential knowledge from diagnosis history records and help doctors to prescribe medication correctly to decrease medication error effectively. In this paper, we design and implement a universal medicine recommender system framework that applies data mining technologies to the recommendation system. The medicine recommender system consists of database system module, data preparation module, recommendation model module, model evaluation, and data visualization module. We investigate the medicine recommendation algorithms of the SVM (Support Vector Machine), BP neural network algorithm and ID3 decision tree algorithm based on the diagnosis data. Experiments are done to tune the parameters for each algorithm to get better performance. Finally, in the given open dataset, SVM recommendation model is selected for the medicine recommendation module to obtain a good trade-off among model accuracy, model efficiency, and model scalability. We also propose a mistake-check mechanism to ensure the diagnosis accuracy and service quality. Experimental results show our system can give medication recommendation with an excellent efficiency, accuracy and scalability.

Solar PV (Photovoltaic, PV) power generation is currently one of the renewable energy with environmental-fashion trends and new alternative-green energy. Taiwan is located in a subtropical zone with sufficient sunshine and abundant solar resource, and thus, has great potential in solar power development. This project sets up a 30.78kWp grid-connected PV array demonstration system on the roof of a mall building in Taiwan. The system configuration follows the present architectural appearance. The mall office roof is configured, and the PV system is monitored by a central monitoring system. The important data are collected, including the generating voltage of solar module and inverter, current, power, working temperature of the thin film solar module, sunshine amount, and atmospheric temperature. The monitoring system has the functions of real-time monitoring data display, historical monitoring data display, and power generation statistics query. This paper proposes the academic theories and application of PV system equipments, as based on practical experience, describes the related operating procedures and methods, and briefly discusses the engineering practice cases regarding the planning, design, and setup of demonstration system. The findings can serve as reference for subsequent project planning and design, supervision and system management, and maintenance.

Find a car in a large parking lot is a challenge in our daily life. In this paper, a novel car-searching approach based on smartphone for a large parking lot is presented. In the new approach, some QR codes are set up in each area which can identify the parking spots. In addition, shortest path algorithm is used to plan the optimal car-searching path. Considering that some parkers with poor sense of direction may lose in the parking lot, a real-time navigation method is proposed for parker to search the car, which is based on the built-in sensors in smartphone and pedometer principle. The new approach is tested in a large indoor parking lot, and the experimental results show the efficiency of the proposed car-searching system.

To suppress the common mode current flowing into the grid effectively, this paper presents a novel active clamping inverter topology with non-isolated single-phase photovoltaic grid inverters. This topology can provide freewheeling path and separate solar panels from the grid at the freewheeling stage. In addition, a series resistor in the clamping channel of the new structure is added, which can effectively reduce the clamp switch conduction loss, even suppress the clamping channel's influence on common mode current. Simultaneously, since the body diode's reverse recovery performance is poor, the wheeling diode is applied into the freewheeling path. The working principle of the topology, the driving logic and the common-mode current equivalent circuit model are all analyzed in detail in this paper. And this paper expounds the function of series resistance, and enumerates common mode current suppression effect at different resistance. The topology's features such as low common mode current, high efficiency and low grid current waveform distortion(THD) are also verified in simulation experiments.

In order to effectively evaluate the next generation communication network reliability under multi-constraint Quality of Service (QoS), a reliability calculation method based on path function and ordered binary decision diagram is proposed in this paper. The link order is determined firstly by the breadth-first search and the feasible paths are calculated subsequently by decomposition and fusion based on the link order. Then, the shortest path set that meets the demand for multi-constraints is selected. The disjoint state of the shortest path set is simplified by improving the ordered binary decision diagram operations. Finally, according to the simplified disjoint set of network status, the reliability index under multi-constraints can be obtained. The experiment result shows that this method can effectively evaluate the network reliability under multi-constraints.

Based on comparing between the Composite Load Model (CLM) with the Synthesis Load Model (SLM), the SLM has been adopted in this paper. In view of the load model parameter identification's characteristics of complexity and low accuracy, a parameter identification method of the SLM based on Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm was proposed and used in the specific case study. It is shown by the case that the power curves simulated are closer to the measured ones, the particle swarm optimization has a certain superiority in the aspect of load model parameter identification, and the synthesis load model is reasonable.

In this paper, a hybrid dynamic model of de-humidifier is proposed to predict heat and mass transfer process in packed-bed liquid desiccant dehumidification system. Based on the heat and mass balance principles, and using lumped parameters method, two difference equations with seven parameters for predict the outlet air temperature and humidity ratio are derived. The unknown model parameters are identified using linear and nonlinear least squares method with the experimental data. The experimental results show that the developed model provides a good accuracy to predict the real performance of dehumidification process with the maximum error of 10%. The proposed model will have wide applications in real-time monitoring, control and operational optimization.

The artificial potential field method is used in mobile robot path planning extensively because of its simpleness, high efficiency and smooth path, but it also has its disadvantages. To overcome the shortcomings of the traditional artificial potential field method in mobile robot path planning, this paper analyzes the reasons that lead to the failure in path planning and puts forward an improved method, in which the attractive and repulsive potential field is optimized, also we propose a strategy of potential field filling to escape the GNRON and local minima problems. At last, we introduce regression search to optimize the path. As a result, the mobile robot can find a better and collision-free path to the goal. The simulation result proves the efficient and flexibility of our new APF.

Pansharpening is an important tool in remote sensing applications. It transforms a set of low-spatial-resolution multispectral images to high-spatial-resolution images by fusing with a co-registered high-spatial-resolution panchromatic image. To deal with the increasing high resolution satellite images, wide varieties of pansharpening techniques have been developed. In this paper, we present an effective pansharpening method based on guided filtering. The method takes advantage of the guided filter to refine the blocking edges in the upscaled multispectral images and extract sufficient high frequency details from the panchromatic image. Moreover, it can be implemented to sharpen multispectral imagery in a convenient band-by-band manner. The experimental evaluations are carried out on QuickBird satellite images. Subjective and objective evaluations show that our proposed method can achieve high spectral and spatial quality and outperforms some existing methods.
