We bring out a runway extraction method based on rotating projection in this paper, which is consisted of three steps, locating the Region of interest (ROI), edge extraction and line detection. Firstly we employed template matching to locate the ROI which contains the runway area. Then we use Sobel operator to extract edges. The rotating projection algorithm is proposed to seek the potential straights in ROI, which will be integrated into the real straights by means of improved K-means clustering method. Simulations are carried out in the end, and results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper can extract the four boundaries of the runway effectively, while it can reduce 50% of computing time compared with Hough transform.

In this paper, a novel data classification approach is proposed based on integration of regularized extreme learning machine and Symbiotic Organisms Search (SOS). In order to simplified the description, the new method is named as Sos-RELM, which mainly contains two phases. As is known, in compared with traditional classification paths, such as SVM, LS-SVM and BP, extreme learning machine expresses its excellent ability in term of accuracy and computing time. Hence, in the first phase, we utilize regularised extreme learning machine with the goal that the output weights can be rapidly calculated. Symbiotic Organisms Search is one of new metaheuristic algorithms with various operations to update the individuals, which outperform DE, GA, and PSO. According to this effective and efficient optimization approach, in the second phase, the set of input wights, hidden biases and regularization parameter are optimized using Symbiotic Organisms Search. And the experimental results indicates that Sos-RELM attain a good comprehensive performance.

This paper develops the brushless dc (BLDC) motor sensorless control system for an drilling dig system in shale gas development. The sensorless techniques that are based on a hysteresis comparator and inductance method with a high starting torque are suggested. Combined with the application of drilling rig system, analyzed the performance requirements of brushless DC motors (BLDCM) in the fields of low speed, and discussed the control method of the dr sensorless BLDCM, developed an prototype of sensorless BLDCM control system based on dsPIC33FJ32MC204. Started the motor in closed-loop mode by using inductance method and BEMF zero crossing detecting method, the motor speed range was effectively expanded. The experimental results showed that this control system could meet the requirements of low speed drilling dig and had application value.

The main advantage of the master-slave control strategy of series-parallel connected DC/DC converters is that the system is of advanced structure, practical functions, convenient maintenance and better extendibility. However the strategy is mainly used in the input-parallel output-parallel (IPOP) converters, which can balance the currents efficiently. This paper proposes a master/slave control strategy for input-series output-parallel (ISOP) connected flyback converters which can balance both output currents and input voltages simultaneously. Compared with the previous series-parallel systems, the structure of this system is simpler, the cost is lower, the volume is smaller and the efficiency is higher. The proposed system is suitable for application in the DC power grid whose input voltage and output current are large. This strategy is theoretically analyzed and verified by simulation, and the simulation results are given and discussed.

In this paper, each harmonic value of harmonic sources is obtained in the process of the measured data obtained from power quality monitoring system first. And then, probability distribution of harmonic amplitude are achieved based on maximum entropy method. Considering that the phase distribution is associated with amplitude, a method of dividing amplitude into three parts by expectation and standard deviation is proposed and the phase probability distribution of the corresponding part can be obtained. For non-measured point, a probability distribution method using the aforementioned calculated probability distribution and the mutual impedance between non-measured point and harmonic source is proposed. Finally, fitting error parameters are used to evaluate the fitting effect of probability distribution which prove the feasibility of the method.

The goal of salient object detection is to estimate the regions which are most likely to attract human's visual attention. As an important image preprocessing procedure to reduce the computational complexity, salient object detection is still a challenging problem in computer vision. In this paper, we proposed a salient object detection model by integrating local and global superpixel contrast at multiple scales. Three features are computed to estimate the saliency of superpixel. Two optimization measures are utilized to refine the resulting saliency map. Extensive experiments with the state-of-the-art saliency models on three public datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.

It has been recognized that the proper parameters for the load model is significant to represent a load accurately. On the basis of introducing the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), a parameter identification method of load model using PSO and ACO respectively were proposed and employed in the specific case study in this paper. It is shown by the case that the power curves simulated are closer to the measured ones and the relative error is smaller by using PSO than ACO. Which leads to the conclusion that PSO algorithm is more efficient and accurate than ACO algorithm in load parameter identification, that is, PSO algorithm has a certain superiority in the aspect of load model parameter identification.

Vacuum system is a pivotal system of space environment simulator whose safe and reliable operation is directly concerned with smooth implementation of the whole space environment simulation test. In order to accomplish online status monitoring and fault diagnosis for vacuum system, this paper proposes a hierarchical fuzzy Petri net-based fault diagnosis model for vacuum system. Since the fault with vacuum system is a typical discrete process, Petri net is used to model the fault diagnosis process for vacuum system as a discrete event system. Against the shortcomings of traditional Petri net in handling sophisticated systems such as exorbitant number of nodes and complicated model, the hierarchical fuzzy Petri net is utilized associated with fuzzy logic and the theory of hierarchical fault diagnosis to establish a detailed fault diagnosis model for vacuum system, and verifies the effectiveness of this model via example.

The geomagnetic storms influence the operation of power systems, and do harm to the electrical equipment, and even lead to large-scale power outages. The purpose of this paper is to analysis the effect of geomagnetic storms on parallel transmission lines. In this paper, the coupled interference relationship of magnetic storms and transmission lines are analyzed. And the interference of magnetic storms on the regional power grid in low latitude with the coupling interference relationship is discussed. Finally, the influence law of magnetic storms on electromagnetic transient characteristics of AC/DC parallel transmission lines is researched based on AC/DC parallel transmission line model which considered the coupling interference.
