-This study aims to identify and evaluate the psychometric property of Multimedia Program Expertise Competency Test. Research data was obtained from examining 2,744 teachers who teach multimedia subjects in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Rasch Model to identify psychometric properties at item level (index precision model and point measures correlation) and test level (item-person map, separation index and reliability). Analysis result exhibits that all the items possess high performance as they are in accordance with Rasch Model. At test level, it is also able to accommodate the diversity of teachers' competence level well. On the other hand, a high index of separation obtained exhibits the consistency of items psychometric properties and scores obtained by examined teacher on re-measurement.

-In this study, I aimed to subject to philosophical analysis the scientific data from biological science researches that are conducted into the phenomenon of homosexuality in order to give philosophical interpretation to it thereby establishing the normative values of the scientific findings. From the study, I observed that much of the scientific data on homosexuality established the phenomenon as ingrained in the human biological construct. I argued that although homoeroticism is biological construct of the homosexual, parenting plays significant role in the sexual identity ultimately developed by an individual. I have presented three conceptual frameworks to show how this happens. I determined that homoeroticism and homosexuality are not exactly the same thing; homoeroticism is a biological construct, while homosexuality is a social construct. I also determine that sexual orientation (which results from eros) is not necessarily the same thing as sexual identity (such as homosexuality or heterosexuality, which results from socialization processes). I argued that sexuality is a synthesis of dialectical interactions between the factors internal within and external to the homosexual‟s body; but that the external is conditioned by the internal. I adopted the paradigm of existentialism as the philosophical framework for the analysis. In conclusion, I argued that if the homosexual‟s sexual orientation is native biological construct of his/her body, then the homosexual has no control over his/her sexual orientation. The philosophical implication of that finding is that homoeroticism is facticity; and as facticity the homosexual cannot escape from being homosexual. Despite this, I used the Two-Way Test (TWT) to show that homosexuality is immoral act; although the homosexual is not an immoral person. However, I have demonstrated that the failed moral status of homosexuality is not enough ground to criminalize homosexuality.

For years the English proficiency of Second Language Learners in colleges especially in the rural areas is constantly declining. The medium of instruction and therefore the execution of the mother tongue education is most often the reason attributed to this. The study makes an effort to view the current situation prevalent in some of the colleges locatedaround Mysuru city, Karnataka (a state in India). It aims at examining the learning environment and perceptions of students towards English language learning while highlighting the shift needed from studying English Language as a subject, to learning English as a medium of communication & expression.

The present study is aimed to study the learning style of male and female students with reference to their emotional intelligence at senior secondary level. A sample of 250 boys and 250 girls studying in four senior secondary schools of Meerut city was randomly selected. The investigator had personally met the participants and administered the tool. Emotional Intelligence scale by Arun Kumar, Prof. Suraksha and learning style inventory by Prof. K.S.Misra was used. Investigator studied emotional intelligence of male and female students. Learning styles of male and female students with reference to high and low emotional intelligence was also studied. Mean, S.D., T-test, percentage and significance of percentage were calculated to analyse the data. The findings reveal that male and female students do not differ with reference to emotional intelligence. Males with high emotional intelligence prefer enactive reproducing, verbal reproducing, figural and reproducing learning styles whereas female students prefer verbal constructive, enactive and constructive learning styles. Males with low emotional intelligence prefer figural constructive and constructive learning styles while females prefer enactive reproducing, figural reproducing and reproducing learning styles.

This study is a critical analysis of Nigerian democratic experiment and crisis of governance. It is axiomatic to state that Nigeria is naturally endowed with both human and material resources that can trigger off national development and growth but still grope with unbridled failures, weak economy and high debt profile. The main reasons for the undemocratic practice and socio economic stagnation are the leadership crises; bad policies, poor moral and ethical standards, undemocratic selection process (imposition pattern), political corruption which have weakened the system of governance. The study focused to establish how the governors of Nigerian States handled the affairs of the people they govern and reasons for the underdevelopment especially in the rural areas. The study adopted elite and anomic theories considered relevant to this study as theoretical framework of analysis. The study established that; selection and imposition of candidates as our leaders, corruption of the democratic and electoral system by the ruling class have contributed in negating good governance and enthroning callousness among our elected leaders. The implication of the study is that if these ugly trends among our leaders are not checked especially at the state level, it could lead to lawlessness, mass poverty and sacrifice of moral rectitude at the altar of hooliganisms among the people. Recommendations were made that the government should be more sensitive to the plight of her citizens, by way of creating employment opportunities for the teaming unemployed youths, sustaining the payment of worker’s salaries and provision of social amenities that will bring about improved living condition of the people.

The 73 constitutional amendment act has made the provision of not less than33% women reservation in the Panchayati Raj Institutions in rural areas. With a view to empowering women through active participation in political decision making process, knowledge is pre-requisite for effective participation, socioeconomic activities. Accordingly to study the level of knowledge about Panchayati Raj Institution and the factors influencing the level of knowledge an investigation was carried out purposively selected Allahabad district of U.P. the investigation covering four blocks, 24 villages and 180 women representatives (60 pradhans and 120 women members) were selected purposively. The empirical data were collected through personal interview technique with the help of pre-structured interview scheduled. Thus, the collected data were processed, analysed and interpreted in the light of objectives by applying suitable statistical tools. The study inferred that majority of women pradhans were from medium level of socio-economic background whereas the women members were found to have little bit lesser socioeconomic background and had little understanding about functioning of PRIs. The prominent predictors like age, education, income, mass media exposure were found to be influential over level of knowledge in both (Pradhan & Members) the cases. There is need to consider all of these variables while making the training strategy for them to be aware about organization and functioning of PRIs ensuring effective participation with developmental activities.
