This paper surveys all currently available open-source EIGRP implementations and provides an overview of the EIGRP protocol itself as defined in its open specification released in RFC 7868. The reader will also become acquainted with the architecture and history of Quagga routing suite and its fork., FRR. Features and the state of all the current open-source EIGRP implementations are compared to each other and the RFC. Emphasis is placed on Quagga one developed on Department of InfoCom Networks., University of Žilina.

Currently, the Building Information Modeling (BIM) is extensively recognized as an incentive for increased productivity and innovations in architecture, engineering and construction. Nevertheless, apart from many numerous benefits of the BIM adoption in construction, it faces several considerable questions. The BIM implementation, as not an uncomplicated process, stands in need of aware, well-skilled and competent professionals. The concern of BIM in architectural, engineering and construction education is discussed leaning on ideas that have been presented by various authors and researchers. The motivational activities to enhance BIM awareness of graduates at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Košlce are described and discussed in the paper. The activities involve the following areas: lectures and trainings on BIM technologies, student competition and availability of free student licenses for BIM software tools. But especially, the effect of these activities on BIM awareness of university students is examined. Results of the year after year repeated questionnaire survey conducted among students are evaluated through Shapiro-Wil test and Mann-Whitney U-test.

This article about Active learning in data science education deals with methods and tools to support active learning of data science, in particular within the Knowledge Discovery subject at the Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia. One of the results of the work presented in this article is an implemented web application to support active learning in data science. The article involves a brief overview of the methods supporting the active learning which may be used also for teaching data science. The final web application which was proposed and tested by the users, was created by RShiny application. The supporting application is helpful mainly for the students as an interactive mean of active learning in data science. The result of the article is available and it was applied in practice. This work contributes to the effective learning of the users (learners) as well as it contributes to better understanding, comprehension and application of the acquired knowledge and experiences of the students in practice by means of active learning.

In the area of computing and engineering, supervision of final theses is a complex and challenging endeavor. Within this study, we present results of students taking part in real-life programming projects as part of their final master theses. We show that being a coach of real-life project solvers, rather than being a supervisor, is an approach that can provide graduates with a meaningful learning conditions, improving both their domain skills as well as their academic performance. We performed coaching as a real-life long-term educational experience within projects focused on helping visually-impaired people. We analyzed students' perceptions, aiming at improving the overall supervision process. We also identified factors influencing current supervision efficiency with the aim of improving the process by suggesting further attitudes and ideas.

Security companies are a very important part of many economic sectors. Their quality strongly depends on the quality of the employees. Recruitment of employees into security companies requires sophisticated methodologies and helping tools for selection support. There are not many introduced methodologies in the Slovak Republic and there are not any support tools in this area either. The creation of a software tool within project based teaching for the competent selection of employees into private security companies is described here. The created software tool consists of several collaborating modules. Its central part is a database storing the statutory requirements for each standardized job title as well as the specific requirements for particular job titles. One module is the database system module managing the database and its codebooks. Another module is a web application providing the possibility to create a set of requirements for given standardized job titles. The web application is a freely available module allowing authenticated human resources departments to define a set of requirements for their specific standardized job titles with included statutory requirements. Additional add-on modules are planned to provide the selection of the most suitable candidates from a set of registered applications with an analyzed artificial intelligence tool.

This manuscript describes the enhanced functions and interoperability methods developed and implemented during the last year in National Telepresence Infrastructure. National telepresence infrastructure to support research, development and technology transfer in Slovakia (NTI) has been created as a project by Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information to provide pilot services for high-quality video conferencing meetings with high efficiency, as well as the implementation of on-line broadcasts for the broad community and archive services for storing, sharing and distributing knowledge in form of multimedia content. Paper deals with enhanced solution design to increase the abilities of NTI in field of modern live streaming chain to providing secure and seamless broadcast, in field of interoperability of videoconferencing with mobile platforms, in field of improve web-based booking and archiving services or intelligent room controllers. The last section of paper contains usage experience of NTI during 33 month of pilot operations and real use cases of livestreaming and collaborative functions not only from standard conference venues but also for exposed locations such as for example large university sport event.

Globalization occurs directly or indirectly in all aspects of human life whether it is a private area or a work area. The minimization of globalization impact can be done through different instruments that focus on different causes. One of these tools, which act on various causes and minimize the negatives of globalization, is the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Implementation of this business concept is being implemented by more and more companies from different economic sectors. This trend is very important not only for the organizations themselves and their surroundings, but also for the whole society. Currently, there are synergies f this concept with area of risk management. However, this synergy has to be supported by appropriate competencies of the managers applying the CSR within the company. In the context of this article, we want to highlight the possibilities of the development of the managers from different economic sectors and different countries offered by the Competency Based e-portal of Security and Safety Engineering (eSEC). The eSEC portal has been created by the Faculty of Security Engineering in cooperation with EU partners and offers managers the competencies needed to successful implementation of the CSR concept.

The subject of this paper are the results of a research survey in which we were examining how teachers' skin conductivity changes based on feelings they experience during a pedagogical micro-performance. Through a follow-up questionnaire and interview, we were verifying how they are aware of this experience, how they interpret it, how they cognitively work with it and how they use it as a basis for other pedagogical activities. Feelings are created as an immediate response (reaction) to a current situation. As for our case, it depends on how teachers feel during the micro-performance, whether they suffer from stage fright in front of their colleagues, experience anxiety or fear, or whether they keep relatively calm. The resulting experience is also influenced by past experience, temperament, interests, goals, thought processes and current mental state. Our research survey is based on the fact that emotions involve measurable physiological changes, for example, a change in skin conductivity, which, if they are measured, inform teachers what they experience during a performance. The fact that teachers are aware of how they feel during this activity influences the course of their other actions and the quality and intensity of subsequent experience. The abovementioned mental phenomena merge with each other and change teacher's attention, focus, motor responses, including subsequent body physiological responses. Based on the research survey, we concluded that the character of a GSR (Galvanic skin response) curve is dependent on a personality type, temperament; it is related to self-confidence, pedagogical experience and emotivity.

The trend to adopt more online technologies continues in the higher education sector. E-Iearning represents application of new technologies and methods in education. This paper explores the employment of digital technologies to facilitate and support virtual spaces for bringing learners together. We used Social Network Analysis (SNA) method to analyze the data collected from the e-learning platform. SNA provides a powerful mathematical approach to study the process of computer supported collaborative learning from a theoretical point of view. In this study, we empirically evaluated data from the e-learning platform to find key indicators for student performance. The research was conducted at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. Results indicate significant relationships among performance of students and the use of educational resources from the e-learning platform.
