Mustang is one of the few places in the world where Tibetan culture is still present. Books are one of the pillars of religion for this Nepalese region. The article presents examples of relics on paper from the Upper Mustang, which are strongly related to the culture of the Loba people. In addition to monastic and private collections, stupas and prayer mills have been described. This article has been prepared as part of a PhD entitled A Tibetan book as a cultural relic in the Mustang: problems of preventive conservation on the example of a collection of manuscripts from the Mardzong caves, written at the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Bibliology of the University of Warsaw. The Mardzong collection discussed in the text has been studied as part of the project The manuscripts from the Mardzong caves in Nepal: collection analysis, paper research and dating, financed by the National Science Center as part of the "SONATA BIS 4" competition, grant 2014/14 / E / HS3 / 00770 and carried out at the Faculty of Journalism, Information and Library of the University of Warsaw in 2015-2018.

The paper deals with the recent discovery of three previously unknown editions of the Krakow Catechism of the Reformed Church of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which allows the author to correct the previous views on the historical evolution of the aforementioned catechism and helps him to properly reconstruct the chronology of the earliest editions (still considered lost). Moreover, newly discovered books offer a new insight into the editorial activity of the Polish printer Maciej Wirzbieta and his professional connections to the Lesser Poland community of the Reformed Church. As far as the history of the Reformed Protestantism is concerned, the discovery in question sheds new light on the contacts between the Lituanian and the Lesser Poland communities of the Reformed Church in the second half of the 16 th century and shows a continuity of catechesis (based on the Krakow Catechism ) from the end of 16 th to the end of 18 th century.

This article presents basic theoretical and practical assumptions in both individual and group therapy. Following stages of bibliotherapeutic proces (identification, projection, catharsis and insight) may improve psychotherapy, especially in its second stage – overwork resistance, expandind awarness, releasing difficult and painful emotions, and in result – introducing desired changes in patient’s life. Reading of selected literary texts will develop and strenghten patient’s sense of authenticity and individuality, without violating the limits of personal freedom. Bibliotherapy as a therapeutic tool not only may create a deep space to discover oneself, their values, the meaning of life, but also suport and mitigate suffering resulting from therapy.

Intangible assets are difficult to define that is why the volume "Management of intangible resources of libraries in the knowledge society", edited by Maja Wojciechowska is of considerable relevance. The volume is a collection of texts presenting specific, implemented activities, which can serve as a source of inspiration for practitioners and library managers whose goal is to improve the quality of services and effectiveness of the library. The most important resources of non-material libraries include: human capital and knowledge management skills, the ability to build strategies that enable them to develop and strengthen their position in the social environment. The book presents numerous examples of measurements, assessment of intangible assets and their impact on the efficiency of library activities.

The subject of the article are the books by Arkady Fiedler (1894 - 1985) about Madagascar, the effect of two writer's journeys to this African country, from 1937 - 1938 and 1965 - 1966: Jutro na Madagaskar! (1939), Żarliwa wyspa Beniowskiego of Beniowski (1944), Radosny ptak Drongo (1946), Gorąca wieś Ambinanitelo (1953 and new editorial office from 2006), Wyspa kochających lemurow (1957), Madagaskar okrutny czarodziej (1969). The author of the study discusses the educational and propaganda message, constructed by the traveler in these publications in various historical and political realities, as well as the issue of reception of Fiedler's books on Madagascar. It is based mainly on the writer's reports and their reviews. It also includes Fiedler's memories, as well as the voices of people posting online on the literature portals. He shows that Fiedler's books are still arousing interest and emotions.
