The purpose of the analysis is to show the situation of the Polish magazine dedicated to librarians in the context of trends related to common functions for the full texts of articles published in search periodicals. The study covered magazines in the field of library and scientific information registered in the Ariant database.

Celem artykulu jest omowienie mozliwości obrazowego prezentowania treści w storytellingu oraz wskazanie, w jaki sposob mozna podkreślac najwazniejsze fragmenty opowieści (jako przekazywanej informacji) poprzez dolączanie elementow wizualizacyjnych do wypowiadanych lub zapisanych tekstow. Odwolano sie do prac powstalych w trakcie praktycznych dzialan: a) do ksiązek i poradnikow, jako publikacji referujących praktyczne zastosowanie storytellingu w szkoleniach, zwlaszcza biznesowych, b) do projektow studentow kierunku zarządzanie informacją, prowadzonego przez Instytut Studiow Informacyjnych Uniwersytetu Jagiellonskiego. Ustalono modele strukturalne / kategorie lączenia elementow wizualizacyjnych z tekstem / treścią opowieści.

Projektowanie architektury informacji [dalej: IA] jest jednym z istotnych elementow tworzenia systemow informacyjnych. Zadanie to, w zalezności od docelowej grupy odbiorcow i towarzyszących mu uwarunkowan, moze stanowic mniejsze lub wieksze wyzwanie. Szczegolnie ciekawą grupe odbiorcow stanowią uzytkownicy jezyka arabskiego. Zgodnie z najnowszym raportem Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives oraz Bayt.com przewiduje sie, ze do roku 2021 przybedzie 47 milionow nowych uzytkownikow Internetu w regionie Bliskiego Wschodu. Dodatkowo, zmiany wprowadzone przez wladze panstw bliskowschodnich, stawiają na najnowsze technologie pozwalające na zarządzanie panstwem przez Internet i specjalnie zaprojektowane aplikacje mobilne. Do tego mozna jeszcze dorzucic niezwykle wysoki poziom information literacy spoleczenstwa, napedzający rozwoj rozwiązan wykorzystujących cyfrowe technologie. Janusz Dunin’s study The Development of the Editorial Features of the Polish Literary Book in the 19th and 20th Centuriesis a record of its author's book theory. Dunin treated the book holistically as a material form of text in which all the elements are important: from the cover, through the text to the interior decorations. The relationship between the book and other fields of art is also important. The reviewed edition is a re-edition of Janusz Dunin's classic dissertation from 1982.

The purpose of the article is to explain the concept of „iGen” introduced to scientific literature by American psychologist J. M. Twenge. This was done by taking into account other terms related to the youngest generation, such as Generation Z, Generation Y, Millennials, Generation C or Generation Alfa. Then the differences and similarities between them were pointed out. The definitions of the above concepts need to be ordered and such attempt was made in this article. In addition, the concept of „iGen” is analyzed in the context of the reader, the user of information derived from new media and „old” media and the addressee of bibliological communication. For this purpose, the results of studies available in Poland on the use of media by the youngest recipient/user are recalled.

The article is descriptive, based on existing materials and analysis of the content of scientific publications in the field of information visualization. The author agrees with the presented content that the infographic is now one of the main elements of communication. It shows its importance referring to the problems of perception and concepts related to the change of the discourse treating the image.

The article describes the specifics of usability research in public institutions on the example of work at the National Information Processing Institute. It describes the challenges faced by system creators, designers, and researchers. It presents methods of preparing and conducting usability tests (preparation, execution and further steps after researches). Characterization of systems created in the institute: POL-on, JSA shows specifics of working at the public systems and shares the insights from these researches. Based on the gathered information, the article proposes changes to improve the experience of systems’ users. It presents good practices that the creators may follow during the designing process, such as: naming, icons, charts, cohesion, searching, text editing and information architecture.
