To acquire more accurate CT image segmentation results of gallstone, this paper presents a Lore-Based FCM algorithm to conquer the deficiency of tradition FCM method. A penalty term is introduced to objective function to enlarge the range of specified class and achieve higher segmentation accuracy. The result of simulation shows that Lore-Based FCM can obviously improve the segmentation quality. The improved algorithm is more rapid and efficiency than the traditional FCM.

Synaesthesia is a condition in which stimulation of a sensory modality evokes another sensationin the same or a different sensory modality. On the basis of the phenomenon and studies for the synesthesia, we explored the converter relationship between digital audio and digital image based on synesthesia, and applied it to design a identify the red-green traffic light prototype system for color-blind people. It will be provided technical support, for the blind having a "vision", the deaf having a "hearing" and many other applications. There are great applicative value to promote research on intersection and interfusion of art and technology.

With the rapid development of computer network and the network application, network has plays an increasingly important role in the social progress and economic development. Rapid development of information technology makes the network traffic behavior has become increasingly complex, and the reliability of the network becomes crucial. Cluster algorithm using for network traffic flow is an entry to analysis network status. Support Vector Machine (SVM) is a machine learning method to solve binary classification problem. An improved cluster analysis algorithm of combining SVM with supervised subset density clustering is proposed in this paper, and minimize the training set of SVM by means of clustering is researched. A supervised self-adaptive method for the improved density clustering is designed to make out multiple centers choosing and referring the samples to SVM. The experimental results show that the algorithm reduces the iteration time of the whole training process without compromising the accuracy and generalization capacity of the algorithm obviously.

This paper presents a general method to obtain real-time finger force for a three fingered dexterous hand in the process of operation task. On the basis of analyzing the kinetic model, the specific algorithm of the optimal contact force is proposed. The key of the algorithm shows that direction of the force is handled off line and the magnitude on line separately. The algorithm can satisfy the requirement of coordination operation of force in real time. And the usefulness of the method is illustrated by a specific task.

Novice programmers exhibit a repertoire of affective states over time when they are learning computer programming. The modeling of frustration is important as it informs on the need for pedagogical intervention of the student who may otherwise lose confidence and interest in the learning. In this paper, contextual and keystroke features of the students within a Java tutoring system are used to detect frustration of student within a programming exercise session. As compared to psychological sensors used in other studies, the use of contextual and keystroke logs are less obtrusive and the equipment used (keyboard) is ubiquitous in most learning environment. The technique of logistic regression with lasso regularization is utilized for the modeling to prevent over-fitting. The results showed that a model that uses only contextual and keystroke features achieved a prediction accuracy level of 0.67 and a recall measure of 0.833. Thus, we conclude that it is possible to detect frustration of a student from distilling both the contextual and keystroke logs within the tutoring system with an adequate level of accuracy.

In order to strengthen engineering background of theory teaching of mechanical major, a virtual experiment platform based on LabVIEW for fault diagnosis of rotating machinery is developed. It can be used as engineering examples demonstration in theory teaching. Additionally, It can be connected with testing system through the interface of NI-DAQ to complete mechanical fault simulation, acquisition and analysis of experimental data and intelligent fault diagnosis of machinery. The virtual experiment platform is developed to simulate typical fault of rotating machinery, such as rotor fault, rolling bearing fault and gear fault. And because the principle of this platform involves the knowledge of many theory courses it is very useful to assist teaching and also convenient to experimental research for students as a second-development platform.

In this work, the computer engineering undergraduate education in Turkey is examined in detail by taking various aspects of it under scrutiny. This work also introduces a new web application which is the first of its kind and offers its content both in English and Turkish. Through the use of five different modules of this application, one can easily go over the curricula, search for a course, compare universities with one another using different merits and analyze several departmental statistics by means of the filters provided. We believe that the meticulously collected data presented in this work will be an invaluable source for everyone who is interested in taking education or conducting research in the field of the computer engineering in Turkey. More importantly, the source code of the application is shared with the public in order to enable the easy transfer of it to other disciplines.

Edges are the main feature of image, also an essential part of the computer visual and pattern recognition, so edge detection is a crucial step in the process of image processing. This article analyzes the algorithm of image segmentation and edge detection, compared the advantages and disadvantages of various operators by MATLAB. Through the experimental comparison, The overall effect of Canny operator is relatively well, but less detailed. So there is not an universal edge operator. The most important is how to choose a suitable threshold, this will be a decisive role.
