With the rapid increase of websites and the explosive growth of Internet information, the centralized search engine will face great challenge in mass data processing and mass data storage. However, the distributed search engine can solve the problem effectively. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a distributed search engine that is based on Apache Nutch, Solr and Hadoop. Considering users click logs, we propose a re-ranking algorithm based on Lucene scoring. Our experimental results show that our approaches significantly satisfy users' massive data searching demand while maintaining high reliability and scalability.

This study investigates students' and teachers' perception of the impact of portfolio assessment on computer assisted audiovisual course in an EFL classroom. This is an action study, where participants (N=101) were students majors English completing their Audiovisual course at Yiwu Industrial and Commercial College, as partial fulfillment for their 3-year degree program. Drawing upon students' questionnaires and interview data, the result shows students hold positive attitude toward their learning and teachers' teaching procedure in classes. They evaluate higher on the students' learning behavior, among which the cooperation awareness rated the first. However, the positive effect does not cover all the students. An assumption was proposed for further research: An inappropriate portfolio assessment might lead to a polarization in students' class participation.

The QoS management is studied to enhance the performance of mobile internet services and user experience. Therefore the various mobile internet services transferred in the network need be distinguished for providing QoS guarantees to them. This paper analyzes several Services Identification technologies, such as DPI(Deep Packet Inspection) and DFI(Deep Flow Inspection). A comprehensive design of integrating port detection, DPI and DFI are investigated to overcome the problems of low level keywords automatic acquisition in existing DPI and limited categories of identifiable services in current systems. In this paper, a Mobile Internet Services Identification System (MISIS) is proposed, and the automatic generation of string signatures techniques are used in MISIS for the extracted features from data of mobile internet services. The practical testing results demonstrate that MISIS is characterized as higher automation and accuracy in the services identification.

Virtual blended learning as the use of virtual 3D environments in education has already delivered utility in a number of cases. This article presents a concept and a prototype of a 3D environment used in the current semester to employ the new medium in programming education at universities. The concept brings gamification aspects as well as interaction mechanisms from social media to the virtual 3D environment. It thereby aims to reduce the large number of student dropouts due to failing the programming modules by motivating more and less capable students alike to an increased participation in the practical exercises. It is concluded that the concept is applicable in a much broader spectrum of exercise and tutorial settings.

In our country, there are many disabled people that accounting for about 6.34% of the whole population. It is the unavoidable and can not be ignored problem. Between the volunteers and the disabled users in the interactive process, the quality of the request service has not satisfied the disabled users, and the requirements of the speed and convenience of service are getting higher. Therefore, there may exist the phenomenon of queuing in the interactive process. It is composed of two basic aspects: on the one hand, the disabled users need to get service; on the other hand, the volunteers tried to give users service that they need. In this paper, the improved model is proposed by combining with the actual situation. The queuing system will be applied in the aid service system and shown below. It is not only convenient for the disabled, but also appeal to public to join the aid service.

Software engineering professional English plays an important role for training international professional exchange skills. However, the current teaching and learning of software engineering professional English for undergraduate exist some urgent problems needed to be solved, such as, one-sided and outmoded teaching contents, single and monotonous teaching mode, and low learning interest of students. Based on the teaching practices, in this paper we do some researches to resolve the above existed problems to some extent. First, the teaching contents are overall to cover the reading, writing, speaking, and listening four parts. Some teaching contents are carefully selected from the up-to-date and standard knowledge of software engineering and state-of-art academic papers. Second, various and interesting teaching modes are used to enhance the studying enthusiasm of students. The teaching and learning practices testify the effectiveness of our innovations on the course of software engineering professional English.

Chronic hepatitis B is a stubborn disease afflicting mankind. Interferon alpha treatment is one of available antiviral options of treating chronic hepatitis B at present. However, the expensive treatment costs and side effects greatly hindered its application. It is useful in practice to patients suffering from hepatitis B that giving the analysis before treatment and predicting the possible effect of treatment according to the physiological mechanism and pathological condition of the patients themselves. This research focus on setting a hepatitis B auxiliary treatment model based on data mining technique which exploits the relationship between the treatment results and the characteristic of different patients. The experiment results on real data sets show that our method is effective and practicable.

When grading a student's performance, determining the assessment factors is a substantial step in course evaluation. The aim of this paper is to improve the quality of the assessment criteria for our Computer Engineering Department's graduation reports. We employ machine learning methods to identify the most important evaluation rubrics that affect the overall grade given to graduation projects. First, we eliminate the redundant factors by computing the correlations between them. Second, we apply K-Means & Hierarchical Clustering methods and third, we analyze the proportion of variance values to find the sufficient amount of eigen values to explain the data. Our results show that Overall Performance is the most important, whereas References is the least important evaluation rubric affecting the graduation project grades. The techniques we use can be used to analyze the graduation rubric grading practices and also to come up with an equivalent rubric with smaller set of questions.

In this paper we research the suitability of comic strip creator tools for developing teaching material. A list of criteria is formed based on the findings of previous research and on the characteristics of comics which have been used effectively in teaching in past works. The results of the evaluation of a number of comic strip creator tools are presented and two cases of developing e-comics with the use of these tools are discussed. The main finding, is that despite some limitations, the tools can be successfully utilized to create alternative and more appealing representations of the teaching materials from teachers with no specialized knowledge on painting or comic designing.

Previous studies have demonstrated that Concept Factorization (CF) have yielded impressive results for dimensionality reduction and data representation. However, it is difficult to get a desired result by using single layer concept factorization for some complex data, especially for ill-conditioned and badly scaled data. To improve the performance of the existing CF algorithms, in this paper, we proposed a novel clustering approach, called Multilayer Concept Factorization (MCF), for data representation. MCF is a cascade connection of L mixing subsystems to decompose the observation matrix iteratively in a number of layers. Meanwhile, we explore the corresponding update solutions of the MCF method to reduce the risk of getting stuck in local minima in non-convex alternating computations. Experimental results on document and face dataset demonstrate that our proposed method achieves better clustering performance in terms of accuracy and normalized mutual information in clustering.
