This paper focus on the modeling of urban growth with regional difference. Firstly, two land use change map of Xiamen city in 2001 and 2007 were acquired by classification based on satellites images. Secondly, nine kinds of driving factors, which were derived from points of interest (POI) and DEM, were also selected by using distance analysis of GIS. Those factors include public services, economic, political and geographical aspects. Basing on these data, this study adopts logistic regression (LR) model to analysis the urban transition and effects contributed by driving factors. The overall accuracy rate of LR model is up to 81.9%-85.9% and the ROC is 0.896, indicating that it is capable to quantitative analysis the mechanism of different driving factors and the spatial-temporal land use change. Finally, a constrained CA model is applied to simulate and predict the future land use situation of Xiamen in 2020. The simulation results reveal that the increasing areas of construction are mainly located outside of the Xiamen Island. The overall land supply and demand are in contradiction obviously, which may lead to increasing pressure on farmland protection. In general, land use issues would become the main bottlenecks of the development of economic and society in Xiamen city. The prediction results can provide reliable guidance about policy implementation for land use planning department.

Self-regulated learning plays a huge role in self-regulated learning. Self-regulated behavior of learners with self-regulated learning ability has spontaneity, freedom and self and other features. This article describes self-regulated learning can play in the flipped classroom and three self-regulated learning mode: teachers guide learning, cooperative learning and parents to participate in group learning. In order to better cultivate students' self-regulated learning ability, improve the self-regulated learning efficiency of the students in flipped classroom.

Aiming to the engineering practice ability demand for engineering undergraduate, how to cultivate the engineering practice ability of engineering undergraduate, have become a key issue of China higher education research. Based on the analysis of existing problem of engineering practice ability cultivation, the relation among TRIZ-CDIO theory, science and technology competition and engineering practice ability is analyzed. Based on the elaborating of the TRIZ traditional theoretical system and CDIO engineering educational approach, CDIO engineering education mode and TRIZ innovation theory is integrated as TRIZ-CDIO theory. And the influence of TRIZ-CDIO theory, science and technology competition on engineering practice ability is analyzed. Through the analysis of insufficient in the process of science and technology competition, integration platform of science and technology competition is established. Some achievements are obtained. Science and technology competition is an important part of the reform of CDIO engineering education and TRIZ theory, and it plays a key role in the engineering practice ability cultivation of engineering undergraduate.

The TEMPEST security testing is to minimize computers and digital equipments from electromagnetic emanations and to achieve information security. With the performance boost of receiver sets, the testing standard must be updated. This paper designs a mathematical model for TEMPEST testing, analyzes the key factor's promotions, and recommends timing for the TEMPEST standard update.

In the African countries today, the Ebola virus becomes the most killer disease. While, the world is plagued by accidents that are due to human errors in judgment and thousands of lives are lost. These accidents can be avoided by using Bluetooth devices to alert the drivers of approaching danger. This can be use in monitoring the distance between nearby cars and alerting the driver whenever the distance becomes too close. This research work proposes the use of Bluetooth Technology for checking the speed of the car whenever it comes close to any other vehicle up front, thus saving many lives.

This paper proposes an image information hiding algorithm which bases on the HVS and MBNS. This algorithm uses the characteristics of Human Visual System (HVS) to embedded more large amounts of data according to different area to achieve different degree of embedded, and pixels in smooth areas corresponding the base of small, pixels in complex areas corresponding the base of great, and then the secret information segment can be embedded into the image based on modular arithmetic. A case study is provided to demonstrate the fact that this method achieve the efficient load and ensure the lowest rate of image distortion that relative to most standard test images.

Multicore related courses delivered or several years in universities, while mostly were parallel programming or just simulation with desktop software. This paper presented very hard approaches with FPGA to run up to 13 cores in a token ring, dedicated tool chains were used to compile and link C code into the executable object code. Especially, different parallel programming solutions of TSP (Travel Salesman Problem) were arranged for easy to difficult level of the course to let the student know the essential concepts of parallel architecture like synchronization, message, shared memory, barrier, etc. Several algorithms were involved with great disparity in performance comparison. In this course, both software and hardware skills were drilled, even slightly modification of the HDL designing of the cores were required. The course was based on the MIT course Multicore Systems Laboratory (6.173) and made some extensions, tried a new way to let the students to sense the multicore system architecture.

Spatio-temporal images are a class of complex dynamical systems that evolve over both space and time. Compared with pure temporal processes, the identification of spatio-temporal models from observed images is much more difficult and quite challenging. Starting with an assumption that there is no a priori information about the true model but only observed data are available, this work introduces a new type of wavelet network that utilizes the easy tractability and exploits the good properties of multiscale wavelet decompositions to represent the rules of the associated spatio-temporal evolutionary system. An application to a chemical reaction exhibiting a spatio-temporal evolutionary behaviour, is investigated to demonstrate the application of the proposed modeling and learning approaches.

Scale Invariant Feature Transform(SIFT) could influence the real time due to a higher dimension calculation and a longer computation time in large-scale data storage and computing. This paper presents a concept about LLE-SIFT feature descriptors with LLE algorithm. The first step is to calculate feature points of all train images by the standard SIFT algorithm, and searching the neighbor area of these points in the original image, then calculating the gradient of the horizontal direction and the vertical direction to form a vector matrix, whose dimension is reduced by LLE algorithm to obtain a projection matrix. The second step is to obtain the neighbor area using the critical information of points in the scale image, and calculating the horizontal direction and the vertical direction of the neighbors area to form a vector matrix, then the LLE-SIFT feature descriptor is the multiplied of the vector matrix and the projection matrix. Experiments shows that LLE-SIFT is effective.
