Microfabricated vacuum-tube millimeter- and THz-band sources are of great interest for numerous applications such as communications, radar, sensors, imaging, etc. Recently, miniaturized sheet-beam traveling-wave tubes for operation at sub-THz and THz bands have attracted a considerable interest. In this paper, we present the results of modeling and development of slow-wave structures (SWS) for medium power (10-100 W) traveling-wave tubes (TWT) amplifiers in near-THz frequency band. Different types of SWSs are considered, such as double-vane SWS for TWT with a sheet electron beam, folded-waveguide SWS, and novel planar SWSs on dielectric substrates.

Results of numerical modeling of electrodynamic and electronic parameters and some experimental data of the double-gap multi- channel cylindrical cavity resonator with the suspended dielectric substrate and the quasi- fractal strip inductive elements are given in this article. The quasi-fractal elements were executed in the form of Sierpinski's triangle. Use of a strip element in the form of the Sierpinski's triangle leads to reduction of resonant frequency of an antiphase mode and practically doesn't change an inphase mode. At the same time growth of characteristic resistance R/Q of the resonator is observed. Calculations of electronic parameters have shown a possibility of use the considered resonator in the low voltage multi-beams klystron amplifiers and working without self-excitation.

The report considered the model of the electrical network using the refined models of the transition resistance of the electric arc, taking into account its nonlinear nature and other physical characteristics of the arc burning in a limited space installations. Calculates the volt-ampere characteristics of the electric arc column length of 2 cm between the graphite electrodes connected to a power source voltage of 220 V and an internal resistance of 13 Ohms. The calculation results of current-voltage characteristics very close to the experimental one. Account the live parts of the damaged equipment in the proposed model can reflect the process of «accumulation» of heat energy in these elements, which increases the inertia of the combustion process of the electric arc column, and smooths the calculated current-voltage characteristics. Recording data for processes important in the simulation of short arcs. Based on the analysis of the experimental and calculated waveforms can be concluded about the applicability of the proposed mathematical model and possibilities of its application in the calculations of the modes arc short circuits for the needs of relay protection.

An analytical solution of the electrodynamics problem is presented for a rectangular waveguide with a dielectric plate located in the H-plane when longitudinal EM Y-polarization is used. Dispersion equations for E and H types of waves are obtained that allow one to determine the spectrum of critical wavelengths and the frequency dependence of the proper electrodynamics parameters. It is shown that during the transition of a fast wave to a slow wave, a transformation of the EM field is observed, in which the field in a less dense medium contracts to the surface of a denser medium, partially penetrating into it, which is of particular interest in microwave technology.

A design principle for a meter for low water content in petroleum products is proposed in the paper on the basis of characteristics of polarized electromagnetic waves. The results of the theoretical study of the interaction between electromagnetic waves and artificial anisotropic substance are given. Characteristics of waves propagating parallel and perpendicular to the electric lines of force are indicated. A polarized-wave speed differential during the interaction with the artificial anisotropic substance is determined. A definition algorithm for low water content in petroleum products is given with account of the polarized-wave speed differential and the dielectric permittivity of the petroleum product.

The nanocomposite - conglomerate grains of semiconductors was explored. An equivalent replacement scheme was developed, which is a parallel-sequential grid connected linear and nonlinear elements. Current-voltage characteristics of a semiconductor conglomerate were obtained. Mathematical modeling current-voltage characteristics for a nanocomposite based on ceramics and semiconductor grains of zinc oxide. The obtained results show that the geometric parameters, such as the number of layers and the width of the sample, affect the current-voltage characteristics of the nanocomposite, the work point of the current-voltage characteristics shifts.

This work is devoted to the analysis of promising schemes of vircators. The results of numerical simulation and analysis of the following schemes are presented: multibeam scheme of a vircator - such a scheme can be considered as promising for further increasing the power and frequency of the generators with virtual cathode; relativistic vircator with elliptic resonator - it is shown that the elliptical type of the resonator makes it possible to provide a better efficiency of the interaction of the relativistic electron beam and the electromagnetic field; relativistic vircator with a photonic crystal - analysis of the simulation results has shown high generation efficiency when using a photonic crystal structure, in comparison with the classical scheme of an axial vircator.

The paper examines the structural diagrams of the tools developed during the research, the collection of information for monitoring, the status, subsystems, of access for the networks of the mobile operator. Several types of sensors are placed stationary both at the operator's base station and in the nearest perimeter. In the process of operation, arrays of sensors collect telemetry data on the status of the subsystems of the operator's cellular network and send information for further analysis to the central controller, which is implemented as a software-hardware complex. The communication channels in the sensor networks can be mobile communication networks, optical cable lines, and for the backup, use interfaces that have better indicators at a particular point of connection. The use of the proposed means in the process of operation makes it possible to get a clearer picture of the network condition and to avoid significant capital investments for the acquisition and maintenance of monitoring systems for the condition of basic equipment made in the form of a mobile, mobile complex.

The purpose of this work is research of a possibility of tuning the two-gap resonator with the strip quasi-fractal inductive elements executed on a dielectric substrate for two multiple frequencies. The main electrodinamic parameters of various modes are investigated (resonance frequency, characteristic wave impedance ρ=R/Q, quality Q). The possibility of tuning of resonant system for multiple resonant frequencies was studied that can be used in a klystron buncher for increasing efficiency and also in the frequency multiplier. This cavity was designed for application in low-voltage dual-frequency klystrons. Such a klystron can be used in on-board transmitters of radio systems for various purposes (radar, transponders, navigation, communications).

The article gives an analysis the effect of the deviations the thickness of the ring permanent magnet on the parameters of TWT O-type with the MPSF. Shows a mathematical model of the sensitivity of the magnetic field and a magnetic coefficient at the thickness of a ring magnet. Shows the graphs of the influence of the sensitivity of the magnetic field, the direct magnetic field itself, the mass, and also the magnetic parameter on the change in the geometric parameter are indicated. A analysis of the characteristics showed the existence of nonlinear sections capable of significantly reducing the influence of the thickness of the magnet on the parameters of the TWT.
