The Effect of Cooperative Learning on Learning Motivation: A Meta-Analysis 合作学习对学习动机影响的Meta分析

Cooperative learning can increase students' learning motivation. Numerous studies have examined the effect of these models on students' motivation to learn. This meta-analysis study was designed to generalize the impact on science learning motivation in elementary, junior high, and senior high school students. This study aims to examine the effect of cooperative learning models on students' learning motivation at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels, as well as the difference in mean motivation scores between the control and experimental groups. This study was conducted using meta-analysis techniques. The data used in this study came from 13 previous studies. The data were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The research findings revealed that the effect of the cooperative learning model on learning motivation at the junior high school level was greater than that at other educational levels. Additionally, there was no discernible difference in the mean motivation score between the experimental group using the cooperative learning model and the control group using the conventional learning model.

The Development of a Performance Validity Test (PVT) for Indonesia 印尼绩效有效性测试(PVT)的开发

Neuropsychological tests are proliferating in Indonesia. So far, unfortunately, it is not accompanied by the development of a performance validity test (PVT). According to international neuropsychological standards, using PVTs is essential to determine the validity of the neuropsychological test results. To date, there is no single standardized PVT available in Indonesia. In this article, we describe (1) the concept of performance validity testing, (2) the detection strategy, and (3) the procedure of PVT. Furthermore, several factors which affect PVT failure and its implication on the interpretation of a neuropsychological assessment are discussed. Considering the importance of PVTs incorporation and that it has become a standard by some neuropsychological associations, it is crucial to develop PVTs in Indonesia. Finally, the utilization of PVT should be performed cautiously, as many factors might influence the PVT result.

Human Nature in Self-Identity Construct: A Meta-ethnography Study 自我同一性建构中的人性:元民族志研究

The development of identity theories in psychology tends to be partial and incoherent, and are followed by various problems. This study uses meta-ethnography to deconstruct theories of self-identity in order to find common threads and relation between theories, including main theories on identity (Erikson’s; Marcia’s), and other related theories (Berzonsky’s, Grotevant’s, Waterman’s, McAdams’s), This study uses Hofstede's (2001) view on identity theories, and formulates a fundamental and comprehensive conceptualization of identity theory. This study formulates a model of the layers of identity which includes the identity of (1) human nature, (2) personal, and (3) social. This study also explains the dynamics of the self as ‘I’ and ‘Me’ in the formation of identity. This study discusses human nature in the discourse of identity and this provides further implications in the field of developmental psychology and educational psychology.

Psikologi Kebangsaan di Indonesia : Sebuah Kajian Literatur Komprehensif dan Agenda Penelitian 印尼民族心理学:综合文献研究与研究议程·全球之声

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah memberikan gambaran tentang perkembangan riset dan publikasi mengenai psikologi kebangsaan di Indonesia. Materi penelitian diambil dari berbagai publikasi ilmiah yang membahas topik tersebut. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa publikasi tentang psikologi kebangsaan mulai muncul pada awal 1990-an, meningkat pada awal milenium kedua, dan berkembang pesat selama satu dekade terakhir. Beberapa topik yang dominan diteliti meliputi nasionalisme, identitas nasional, multikulturalisme, ke-Pancasila-an, dan pengembangan alat ukur psikologis. Beberapa peneliti secara konsisten meneliti topik spesifik tentang psikologi kebangsaan, tetapi sejauh ini, belum banyak peneliti bekerja sama dengan peneliti dari bidang ilmu lain. Untuk mengembangkan penelitian ini, diperlukan upaya untuk memperluas jangkauan topik yang diteliti dan menggunakan metode penelitian yang lebih inovatif. Efektifitas Functional Family Therapy Pada Perilaku Bermasalah dan Tingkat Residivis Remaja: A Scoping Review 家庭治疗关于问题行为和青少年再犯罪率的有效性

Perilaku bermasalah pada remaja masih menjadi fokus serius di seluruh dunia. Sampai saat ini masih diupayakan berbagai intervensi untuk dapat menanganinya. Salah satunya, pengembangan intervensi Functional Family Therapy (FFT) oleh Sexton dan Alexander sejak tahun 2002. Sampai saat ini pengujian efektivitas FFT masih terus dilakukan. Namun belum ada ulasan terbaru mengenai efektifitas FFT terhadap penurunan perilaku bermasalah dan kemungkinan keterlibatan lebih lanjut (tingkat residivisnya) pada remaja. Maka itu, artikel ini bertujuan untuk meninjau bagaimana hasil uji efektifitas FFT terhadap perilaku bermasalah dan tingkat residivis remaja di berbagai negara dalam kurun waktu sepuluh tahun kebelakang. Metode scoping review digunakan untuk mendapatkan bukti secara sistematis mengenai efektifitas FFT terhadap perilaku bermasalah remaja. Kesimpulan dari tinjauan literatur ini adalah FFT terbukti efektif untuk menurunkan perilaku bermasalah dan tingkat residivis pada remaja di berbagai konteks negara dan budaya. Oleh karenanya, melihat kondisi dan hasil penelitian ini FFT dapat direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan juga di Indonesia guna mengatasi masalah remaja. Adaptasi FFT dalam konteks budaya Indonesia dapat juga menambah data empirik tentang efektifitas FFT dalam konteks budaya timur, dimana saat ini baru terdapat satu implementasi yaitu di Singapura.

Systematic Review: A Study of College Adjustment Among First-Year Undergraduates 系统评价:一年级大学生的大学适应研究

College adjustment is an important factor that influences academic success. First-year undergraduates must deal with a transition period from high school to college, during which time they encounter many challenges which can result in high dropout rates and low academic outcomes. This transition period requires adaptability. A systematic review was conducted to gain an overview of college adjustment and its influence. Using five online research platforms, namely EBSCOhost, PsycNet, Science Direct, Scopus, and Taylor & Francis Online, 18 articles were obtained. As a result, college adjustment can be characterized by indicators such as academic achievement, stress, anxiety, depression, and well-being. The Attachment Theory and Self-determination Theory were applied in more than one study. Individual and environmental characteristics can influence college adjustment, both positively as well as negatively. Recommendations for research on the topic of college adjustment are being discussed.

Measuring Fluid Reasoning and Its Cultural Issues: A Review in the Indonesian Context 测量流动推理及其文化问题:在印度尼西亚背景下的回顾

Fluid reasoning (Gf) is a central component of human abilities and has been shown to be statistically indistinguishable from general cognitive ability. However, measuring fluid reasoning is not that easy since the operationalization of the construct itself is not conclusive. This situation is exacerbated if the measurements and comparisons are carried out in groups with different cultural and language abilities. The purpose of this paper is to provide a brief overview of the fluid reasoning construct as well as measurement practices that have been carried out in Indonesia. My review would mention the positioning of fluid reasoning in several intelligence theories, how researchers conceptualize fluid reasoning, how researchers measure fluid reasoning in a multicultural context, and outline critical future directions for test development. In conclusion, I emphasize the importance of using a multi-processes figural fluid reasoning test as a proxy for a culture fair intelligence test that can be used in cross-cultural assessments.

The purpose of this paper is to provide a brief overview of the fluid reasoning construct as well as measurement practices that have been carried out in Indonesia. My review would mention the positioning of fluid reasoning in several intelligence theories, how researchers conceptualize fluid reasoning, how researchers measure fluid reasoning in a multicultural context, and outline critical future directions for test development. Agar dapat berinteraksi secara efisien terhadap banyaknya informasi sensori, otak memiliki strategi heuristis yang dapat menyaring informasi sekaligus mengarahkan atensi ketika muncul informasi yang penting dan krusial. Penelitian tentang otak telah mengungkapkan salah satu penanda atas sistem tersebut, yang disebut sebagai Mismatch Negativity (MMN). MMN merupakan salah satu komponen dari Event-Related brain Potentials (ERP) yang diasosiasikan dengan penanda sistem pendeteksi perubahan dan pelanggaran tiba-tiba terhadap aturan abstrak dari stimulus suara, dan dapat digunakan sebagai indikator objektif mengenai akurasi diskriminasi suara, sensori memori, maupun proses praatensi. Komponen MMN muncul sebagai gelombang negatif yang terpicu oleh stimulus yang menyimpang dari keteraturan. Metode MMN telah banyak digunakan dalam berbagai bidang penelitian hingga konteks klinis. MMN juga merupakan metode yang sangat bermanfaat untuk menyelidiki mekanisme pemrosesan kognitif pada populasi yang memiliki kesulitan untuk mengikuti prosedur eksperimen, misalnya pada anak-anak, atau pasien klinis karena sifatnya yang otomatis dan tidak membutuhkan atensi. Living in Artistic Career: The Role of Job Crafting towards Work Identity for Musicians 生活在艺术生涯中:职业塑造对音乐家工作认同的作用

Professional musicians have been continuously facing difficulties in career over time. One of the psychological threats for musicians is to lose their identity at work, which may lead to abandonment of their potential lifetime career. Previous studies have not emphasized the importance of certain work efforts to maintain work identity in the context of music career. This study conducted a literature review on the job crafting role to musicians’ work identity, and aimed to elaborate the existing concepts with the context of music profession. Using theoretical frameworks of job crafting and Job Demand-Resource theory, this study proposed theoretical perspectives to support the theories, by identifying five dimensions of job crafting (task, relational, cognitive, emotional, and physical) for professional musicians, as well as building a conceptual model that may help musicians to maintain work identity. This study also contributed theoretical insights and implications regarding the job crafting role towards identity construction for musicians, which could be considered during the current pandemic.

Meningkatkan Engagement pada Siswa melalui Variabel Emosi: Tinjauan Sistematik

Engagement merupakan dorongan dari dalam individu untuk terlibat dan antusias dalam setiap kegiatan yang dibuktikan dengan tindakan. Engagement pada siswa dipengaruhi oleh beberapa variabel emosi. Tinjauan sistematik ini bertujuan menganalisis 16 jurnal internasional mengenai upaya meningkatkan engagement dalam bidang pendidikan melalui variabel emosi. Hasil tinjauan sistematik menunjukkan bahwa positive emotion merupakan variabel emosi yang paling banyak memengaruhi student engagement. Variabel emosi lain yang menjadi prediktor adalah regulasi emosi, emotional intelligence, classroom emotional processes, hubungan emosi antara guru-siswa dan siswa-siswa, serta emotional creativity. Jenis-jenis engagement yang digunakan dalam penelitian pendidikan antara lain student engagement, academic engagement, dan work engagement. Aspek-aspek engagement yaitu behavioral, emotional, cognitive, affective dan agency juga dipengaruhi oleh variabel emosi. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk melakukan penelitian eksperimen mengenai engagement dan emosi dalam konteks pendidikan.
