Objective: The purpose of this study was to establish the extent to which capacity planning influences the performance of climate-smart agriculture projects in Laikipia County. Theoretical Framework: The study was anchored on the theory of change whose pillars are planning, participation, and evaluation. These factors are critical in capacity planning of scarce resources and evaluating the effectiveness of the process. Method: A concurrent mixed method approach that adopted the descriptive cross-sectional survey and correlational design was employed to study two World Bank-sponsored Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture projects. Stratified and Simple random sampling were employed to get a sample of 225 small-scale farmers and purposeful sampling identified four key informants. Data was collected using questionnaires and interview guide and analyzed using descriptive, inferential, and content data analysis techniques. Results and Discussion: The respondent’s opinion on capacity planning had a composite mean and standard deviation of 2.88 and 1.219 respectively. Capacity planning and the performance of climate-smart agriculture projects had a strong correlation coefficient of r=0.644 and p-value p=0.000<0.05. Therefore, resource capacity planning is fundamental in enhancing climate-smart projects, through proactive decisions, risk management, and cost reduction. Research Implications: Consequently, it is imperative to have policies that prioritize and promote capacity planning of the scarce public and private goods to enhance their allocation. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by providing reliable and triangulated empirical data through authentic methodology enhancing suitability for data generalisability and replicability. The relevance and value of this research was evidenced by the need to promote food security in pursuance of the achievement of sustainable development goals.

Objective: The objective of this study is to determine how resource procurement influences climate-smart agriculture projects in Laikipia County, Kenya. Theoretical Framework: This study is anchored on Transaction Cost Economics Theory, which states that a project will attract transaction costs all through the procurement process. This study anchors on this theory as small-scale farmers need to be innovative to reduce procurement costs and have bargaining power over exploitive stockists. Data was collected using questionnaires and an interview guide and analyzed using descriptive, inferential, and content data analysis techniques. Results and Discussion: The composite mean and standard deviation of 3.25 and 1.163 respectively. The relationship between resource procurement and the performance of climate-smart agriculture projects had a fairly strong linear coefficient of correlation (r= 0.524) and p-value of (p=0.000<0.05) indicating a fairly strong and significant relationship. Therefore, effective procurement of inputs, machinery, and other resources is critical in sustainable agriculture. Research Implications: Consequently, it is critical to have policies that promote effective procurement and safeguard small-scale farmers from exploitive stockists. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by providing reliable and triangulated empirical data through authentic methodology enhancing suitability for data generalisability and replicability. The relevance and value of this research is evidenced by the need to promote food security in a healthy ecology

Objective: To examine the extent to which resource stewardship influences the performance of climate-smart agriculture projects in Laikipia County, Kenya. Theoretical Framework: The study was anchored on the Stewardship theory that envisages that unsupervised managers, will derive their satisfaction from the organization's success hence, remain accountable stewards. Judicious stewardship is the only way to achieve food security in a healthy ecology. Results and Discussion: The respondents’ opinions on resource stewardship had a composite mean and standard deviation of 3.47 and 1.138 respectively. The relationship between resource stewardship and the performance of climate-smart projects had a weak linear correlation of (r= -0.007) and p-value (p=0.923>0.05) indicating a weak and insignificant relationship. Despite the portrayed confidence in resource stewardship, stewardship is not a quick-fix approach hence, detested in the use of resources. Research Implications: Consequently, it is vital to have policies that enforce, promote, and subsidize activities that stimulates stewardship in food production. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by providing reliable and triangulated empirical data through authentic methodology enhancing suitability for data generalisability and replicability. The relevance and value of this research are evidenced by the need to promote food security in pursuance of the achievement of sustainable development goals.

Objective: The objective of this study was to determine how resource allocation influences climate-smart agriculture projects in Laikipia County, Kenya. Theoretical Framework: Pareto Efficiency Theory states that at a certain level, it is not possible to utilize more resources to improve one party, without jeopardizing the other party. The study sought to heighten the level of food production to guarantee food security without threatening the environment. Data was collected using questionnaires and an interview guide and analyzed using descriptive, inferential, and content data analysis techniques. Results and Discussion: The composite mean and standard deviation of the respondents' opinions on resource allocation were 3.52 and 1.143, respectively. The correlation coefficient of resource allocation and the performance of climate-smart agriculture projects was weak, with r=-0.220 and p-value p=0.000<0.05. Therefore, though resource allocation is a crucial factor in food production, judicious and effective resource allocation is critical to realizing the full potential of the projects. Research Implications: Consequently, it is critical to have policies that promote the effective allocation of public and private goods to promote food production coupled with enhanced healthy ecology. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by providing reliable and triangulated empirical data through authentic methodology enhancing suitability for data generalisability and replicability. The relevance and value of this research is evidenced by the need to promote food security in a healthy ecology.

Objective: The current study was based on three variables that interact with each other, where (human resources management) is considered an independent variable, (digital culture) is a mediating variable, and (creative performance) is a dependent variable. The goal of the study is determined by determining the nature of the relationship and the impact between the variables of the study. Theoretical Framework: This topic presents the most important concepts and theories on which the research is based. Human Resource Management, Digital Culture, and Performance] stand out, providing a solid foundation for understanding the context of the investigation Method: An exploratory analytical approach was used, as the study relied on a stratified random sample of workers in Iraqi telecommunications companies. (310) questionnaires were distributed, and the number of invalid returned questionnaires was (5), while the total number of questionnaires suitable for statistical analysis was (305), with a response rate of (95%). Advanced statistical software (AMOS.V.26) and statistical software (SPSS.V.26). Results and Discussion: A set of conclusions were noted, the most important of which are: There is an influence relationship between human resources management and digital culture. There is a significant influence relationship between human resources management practices and creative performance. Culture plays a complete and partial mediating role in the relationship between human resources management practices and creative performance. Research Implications: The practical and theoretical implications of this research are discussed, providing insight into how the findings can be applied or influence practices in the field of human resource management, digital culture and innovation performance. These implications may include for the banks sampled in the study and the services they provide. Originality/Value: The importance of this study came from the scarcity of studies that attempted to identify and understand the nature of the relationship between variables (human resources management, digital culture, creative performance), as well as the current study’s attempt to address a realistic problematic problem that directly affects the performance of employees in Iraqi banks.

Purpose: This study aims to examine the legal liability of tobacco companies regarding violations of quality and safety laws, with a focus on how these violations impact public health and community safety. The research seeks to provide a comprehensive analysis of the legal mechanisms available to hold these companies accountable and impose appropriate penalties. Theoretical Framework: The study is based on a review of legal and health literature addressing the impact of tobacco products on public health, along with an analysis of the policies and regulations governing the tobacco industry. The research highlights the challenges in enforcing quality and safety laws and suggests ways to overcome them to enhance consumer protection. Design/Methodology/Approach: An analytical methodology was employed, focusing on the study of judicial cases related to tobacco company violations. Data was collected from reliable legal sources and international health reports, and the legal experiences of various countries were reviewed to understand how they have dealt with tobacco company violations. Findings: The findings revealed significant disparities in the enforcement of quality and safety laws on tobacco companies across different countries. It was found that companies often exploit legal loopholes to avoid stringent penalties. However, some countries have successfully reduced health damages by imposing strict penalties and raising public awareness about the risks of tobacco. Research, Practical & Social Implications: The study demonstrates that strengthening the enforcement of laws related to the quality and safety of tobacco products can significantly reduce the severe health impacts caused by smoking. The research provides recommendations for improving public policies and encouraging collaboration between legal and health authorities to achieve better consumer protection. Originality/Value: The value of this study lies in presenting a comprehensive perspective on the necessity of enhancing the legal accountability of tobacco companies. It highlights the importance of developing stringent and integrated laws that address the current challenges in the tobacco industry, contributing significantly to improving public health and community safety.

Objectives: The enormous impact of the micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector in emerging economies is invaluable vis-à-vis competitiveness of national economies, productivity, growth, employment prospects, poverty reduction and sustainable livelihood has long been recognised widely. This paper critically examines the Bank of Industries (BOI) initiatives to facilitate the development of entrepreneurial activities within the MSMEs sector in Nigeria. The study selected 128 agribusiness entrepreneurs within Lagos metropolis using structured questionnaires and interview schedules for BOI officials. Methodology: The paper espouses mixed methodology incorporating qualitative and quantitative approaches relying on primary and secondary data with empirical evidence presented and analysed using SPSS. Findings: The core motives of this paper are to appraise extensively the disbursement of MSMEs intervention funds to entrepreneurs, the BOI supportive mechanism to extensively support MSMEs sector and to ascertain the effectiveness of BOI monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems on programs if any. Results and Discussions: The study revealed the constraints impeding the BOI capacity to overhaul the MSMEs sector vis-à-vis internal and environmental influences. Likewise, the institution initiatives to support the MSMEs sector embraces capacity building and capital available for entrepreneurs to harness the bank’s programs characterised by numerous factors revealed within the study. The paper uncovered the BOI meaningful role which includes business linkages, jobs opportunities and poverty alleviation with significant impact to stimulate economic development and recommended that the BOI should circumvent political interference and partisan politics, incorporate result-based monitoring and evaluation systems for the institution programmes, publicity and awareness of the BOI programmes and initiatives, the removal of stringent loan conditions to enable fund accessible to entrepreneurs. Conclusion: If the findings from the study are well harnessed, the recommendations will reposition BOI policies and programs for effectiveness and vastly boost the entire MSMEs sector and the nation’s economy at large.

Purpose: This study examines how the transport sector has become prominent in any country's economic, social, and urban development. Theoretical Framework: The growth and development achieved by this transport sector extends its impact to all other sectors, especially at the local level, which affects the country’s general economic growth. This is reflected in the significant contribution that this sector makes, directly or indirectly, to the growth of the Gross Domestic Product and the increase in the financial returns to the State. Method: We used the descriptive approach to present the study variables and the inductive approach to draw conclusions and link them to confirm the study hypothesis. Design/Methodology/Approach: One of the most important results of the transport sector’s contribution to local economic development is its effective assistance in linking production and distribution areas with consumption areas and in ensuring the movement of individuals and the transport sector is also important in creating employment opportunities for a large part of the population, either in the transport sector itself or in other sectors related to or affected by its development. Findings: The study demonstrated that planning transportation programs has become one of the main elements upon which the state's development programs, including local ones, are based, which depend heavily on them for their success and achieving their goals that have a direct impact socially, economically, and politically. Originality/Value: The value of the study lies in demonstrating the impact of transportation means and their planning on the success of sustainable local development programs.

Objective: This article is intended to demonstrate how the use of Blockchain by a Social Fintech can be viewed under the lens of the Social Innovation construct and its elements (dimensions). Theoretical Framework: The configuration of the elements (dimensions) was based on studies by Tardif and Harrisson (2005), Cloutier (2003) and André and Abreu (2005), according to the model of Souza, Lessa and Lazaro (2019). Method: The study was descriptive and exploratory. The case study method was applied with content analysis. The initial inductive analyzes made three dimensions for social innovation emerge more clearly: the Character component, Social Innovativeness and Transformation. Results and Discussion: We came to the conclusion that access to credit using Blockchain technology to fulfill a social demand values territorial specificities through the organization and mobilization of excluded groups and territories, and helps in altering behavior, attitudes or perceptions. Research Implications: The role of this research for the area of study shows the dimensions of social innovation as a tool for analyzing a social enterprise. Further investigation with more depth in other settings and evaluating the results is essential for this field. New Social Fintechs are continually emerging. Within this environment, economic models are being transformed as they seek a way to break down barriers in the most adversarial models of society by using blockchain technology. Originality/Value: The relevance of this research is related to the role of improving the concept and practices of social innovation and the development of initiatives geared towards social economic inclusion.
