Purpose: This article demonstrates how collaboration in a PAR and R&D research project can be facilitated by a design-led innovation process that juxtaposes design and scientific approaches. Theoretical Framework: The work was theoretically grounded in an interdisciplinary methodology and customer-centric approaches. Researchers adopted a "principles-driven" strategy as a primary guiding principle. Design/Method/Approach: This study utilized participatory action research (PAR) as a research methodology, emphasizing the importance of collaborations between stakeholders and the research team. The study methodology encompassed on-site visits, SWOT analysis, focus groups, and questionnaire surveys. The data obtained from all of the previously described instruments was subjected to qualitative analysis using triangulation. Findings: The study demonstrated that this approach significantly enhanced the innovation of new products and the establishment of brands by local businesses. The remaining fabric key rings of the stakeholders had an impact on the most recent clothing collection. The development of new products involved the integration of identity, traditional knowledge, and creativity with modern technology, utilizing local resources from the community for innovative transformation and business product development. By adhering to experts' recommendations, stakeholders can enhance the value of their products by demonstrating a preference for environmentally conscious, culturally significant, and artistically innovative products to the target market. The introduction of the new clothing product range received positive feedback from business owners and entrepreneurs, with an average rating of 4.71. Additionally, the annual sales value increased by 36.3%. PAR R&D facilitated the improvement of stakeholders. Research, Practical, and Social Implications: Creating eco-friendly apparel from fabric scraps will contribute to sustainability. Obtaining this level of sustainability requires collaboration across disciplines and design-driven innovation. In addition, this study demonstrates how a dynamic interdisciplinary innovation strategy can be effective for generating new product concepts, obtaining consumer feedback, and fostering collaboration and learning across disciplines. Lastly, this study provides other researchers and the local industry with actionable opportunity areas and design imperatives for their sustainability-based product innovation activities. Originality/Value: This study is the first to apply theoretical concepts to practical situations in a specific rural area to assist local community entrepreneurs lacking resources for research and development in improving their performance and outcomes, with a focus on creating product concepts that reflect the local cultural identity and incorporate innovative design principles.

Purpose: The current study aimed to measure the impact of work pressure on the level of job performance in Iraqi universities within the framework of the enhancing role of innovative capabilities. Design/Methodology/Approach: Relying on a random sample of (294) respondents from senior, middle and supervisory management employees from four Iraqi universities, 23.9% of the total study population. Findings: The study found a low level of work stress in Iraqi universities & In return there is a high level of innovative capacity of those working in these universities, And a further increase in their level of job performance. In addition to the direct negative impact of work pressure on the level of job performance. This is in return for a direct positive effect of innovative ability on the level of job performance of employees in Iraqi universities. On the other hand, the coefficient of the interactive variable (innovative capacity × work pressure) was not statistically significant. Research, Practical & Social Implications: Simply controlling innovative capabilities has reduced the negative impact of work pressures from large to small. While innovative capabilities will have a significant positive impact on job performance. This means that the mere availability of innovative capabilities among workers will allow them to exploit them to avoid work pressures and reduce their negative impact on them. Originality/Value: This confirms the great practical importance of innovative capabilities in neutralizing the negative effects of work pressures on the job performance of employees in Iraqi universities. This gives a strong support for developing the theory and building policies to control work pressures by working to increase the innovative capabilities of workers.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine how the Indonesian hotel sector may use the internet as a productive and successful marketing tool. Theoretical Framework: The opportunities offered by the internet include ease of accessing and disseminating information about hotel products and services, the ability to reach a wider and more diverse market, and the opportunity to improve the quality and efficiency of services (Kapoor & Kapoor, 2021). However, the internet also poses challenges, such as increasingly fierce competition, changes in consumer preferences and behavior, and threats to data security and privacy (Bandara, Fernando, & Akter, 2020). Design/Methodology/Approach: This research uses secondary data from the World Bank and UNWTO regarding Internet users, Number of hotel rooms, Total guests, and Tourism arrivals from 2000 to 2022. This research applies a vector autoregression (VAR) model with two lags to test the relationship between five time variables. series, namely Total Guests, Tourism Arrivals, Room Rate, Number Of Rooms, and Internet Users. The VAR model was chosen because it has the lowest information criteria values, namely AIC, SC, and HQ, which shows a high fit to the data. Findings: Number of Rooms is the variable that has the most influence on other variables, which indicate the capacity and quality of hotel accommodation. Therefore, hotels are advised to increase the Number Of Rooms in order to attract more tourists and increase revenue. Apart from that, Total Guests, Tourism Arrivals, and Room Rate also have a significant effect on several other variables, which reflect the dynamics of market demand and supply, as well as hotel competitiveness. Therefore, hotels are advised to maintain and improve these variables with appropriate marketing strategies, such as promotions, distribution channels and social networks. Meanwhile, Internet User is the weakest variable in the VAR model, which has a negative relationship with Total Guests, Tourism Arrivals, and Room Rate, which reflects the influence of information technology on consumer behavior. Research, Practical & Social Implications: This research makes a practical contribution by providing solutions for the hotel industry in Indonesia to increase performance and income by utilizing the internet as an effective and efficient marketing medium. Originality/Value: This research provides a theoretical contribution by examining the influence of the internet as an effective and efficient marketing medium for the hotel industry in Indonesia, which is a topic that has rarely been researched before.

However, the internet also poses challenges, such as increasingly fierce competition, changes in consumer preferences and behavior, and threats to data security and privacy (Bandara, Fernando, & Akter, 2020).\u0000 \u0000Design/Methodology/Approach: This research uses secondary data from the World Bank and UNWTO regarding Internet users, Number of hotel rooms, Total guests, and Tourism arrivals from 2000 to 2022. This research applies a vector autoregression (VAR) model with two lags to test the relationship between five time variables. series, namely Total Guests, Tourism Arrivals, Room Rate, Number Of Rooms, and Internet Users. The VAR model was chosen because it has the lowest information criteria values, namely AIC, SC, and HQ, which shows a high fit to the data.\u0000 \u0000Findings: Number of Rooms is the variable that has the most influence on other variables, which indicate the capacity and quality of hotel accommodation. Therefore, hotels are advised to increase the Number Of Rooms in order to attract more tourists and increase revenue. Apart from that, Total Guests, Tourism Arrivals, and Room Rate also have a significant effect on several other variables, which reflect the dynamics of market demand and supply, as well as hotel competitiveness. Therefore, hotels are advised to maintain and improve these variables with appropriate marketing strategies, such as promotions, distribution channels and social networks. Meanwhile, Internet User is the weakest variable in the VAR model, which has a negative relationship with Total Guests, Tourism Arrivals, and Room Rate, which reflects the influence of information technology on consumer behavior.\u0000 \u0000Research, Practical & Social Implications: This research makes a practical contribution by providing solutions for the hotel industry in Indonesia to increase performance and income by utilizing the internet as an effective and efficient marketing medium.\u0000 \u0000Originality/Value: This research provides a theoretical contribution by examining the influence of the internet as an effective and efficient marketing medium for the hotel industry in Indonesia, which is a topic that has rarely been researched before.","PeriodicalId":31480,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Professional Business Review","volume":"129 23","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140078995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the impact of social working environment and secured working environment on job satisfaction in Lebanese SMEs, with a particular focus on the mediating effect of job satisfaction Theoretical Framework: A secure working environment is an essential aspect of the workplace that contributes to employee job satisfaction. A secure working environment is free from threats and hazards, and employees feel safe and secure while working. A secure working environment is vital in enhancing job satisfaction among employees. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study utilized a sample of 350 respondents working in SMEs in Lebanon and employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the hypothesized relationships between the variables Findings: The findings of this study revealed that both social working environment and secured working environment had a significant positive impact on job satisfaction. Specifically, a supportive and friendly social working environment and a secured working environment were found to be associated with higher levels of job satisfaction among employees. Furthermore, the study also found that job satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between social working environment and job satisfaction, as well as the relationship between secured working environment and job satisfaction. Research, Practical & Social Implications: This suggests that job satisfaction plays a crucial role in explaining the relationship between these variables. These findings have important implications for SMEs in Lebanon and other contexts. For example, employers should prioritize creating a social working environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration, and positive relationships among employees, as well as a secured working environment that prioritizes safety and security. These factors can significantly contribute to employee job satisfaction and overall well-being. Originality/Value: This research is original and unique and it contributes to the field of Lebanon.

Purpose: The stock market has long played a significant role in fostering economic growth in developing countries by providing equity funds for capital formation. Technological advancements, particularly in digital technology, have significantly influenced financial services, becoming a crucial aspect of financial affairs. Notably, digital payment services have gained prominence in Nigeria, offering potential improvements to the Nigerian stock market. Despite this, there appears to be a perceived gap between digital finance transactions and the performance of the Nigerian stock market. Therefore, this study centred on the impact of digital finance on stock market performance in Nigeria. The study specifically aimed to assess the influence of Automated Teller Machine (ATM), Point of Sales (POS), mobile payment (mobilepay), and web-based payment (webpay) digital finance transactions on stock market capitalization ratio in Nigeria. Methodology: This study, conducted for the period from January 2012 to December 2021, utilized Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares regression to investigate the impact of digital finance on stock market performance in Nigeria. Monthly secondary data were sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria's Statistical Bulletin, Statistics and Monthly Economic Reports. Findings and Conclusion: Empirical findings revealed that ATM, POS, mobile-based, and web-based digital finance transactions had a positive and significant impact on the stock market capitalization ratio in Nigeria. Consequently, the study concluded that digital finance contributes to enhancing stock market performance in the country Originality/Value: To promote further growth in the stock market, the study recommends expanding the deployment and usage of digital finance channels such as ATM, POS, mobile-based, and web-based channels, encouraging their utilization for stock market transactions by participants.
