Purpose: the present study demonstrates that the combination of financial planning and decision making jointly contribute as predictors of efficient financial performance, permeating into MSMEs’ market sustainability. Theoretical Framework: Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) currently have a relevant role in gross domestic product and direct job creation in Latin American countries. The literature shows that financial planning is a highly valuable tool for large businesses, facilitating decision making and creating positive impacts on financial performance. However, these studies are centered on businesses classified as large, excluding MSMEs. Recent studies have approached financial planning, decision making, and financial performance in MSMEs on an individualized basis. Methodology: The study carried out was quantitative, non-experimental, correlation, cross-sectional, and explanatory. A total of 308 MSMEs participated, obtained from the National Geography and Statistics Institute (INEGI, 2019), of which 34.41% were industrial, 32.14% commercial, and 33.41% from the service sector. Normal distribution tests were done (Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests), along with symmetry and kurtosis. Findings: The findings suggest that MSMEs which have been around for seven years or more have financial planning knowledge favoring their decision-making and generating efficient financial performance, making time a determining factor. Research, Practical & Social Implications: Our findings have significant implications for generating proper planning based on solid tools, with the effect of assertive decision making which favors financial performance. Originality/Value: The most important contribution from this study to MSMEs is to show that financial planning is not only for large organizations, but can apply to them as well.

Purpose: E-procurement is recognized globally as a tool for enhancing efficiency and transparency, with major intergovernmental bodies advocating its adoption. This study investigates the impact of electronic procurement (e-procurement) on project completion times in the Nigerian public sector. The research focuses on e-tendering, e-invoicing, and e-sourcing, hypothesizing their effects on project completion times. Theoretical Framework: The study employs a conceptual framework highlighting the interplay between e-procurement practices and government policies. Theoretical frameworks, including Innovation Diffusion Theory and Technology Acceptance Theory guided the study. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study adopted a descriptive survey research design to collect primary data from 361 procurement staff from four agencies in Abuja using a structured questionnaire. Data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Findings: The results indicate a positive relationship between e-procurement practices and project completion times, with e-invoicing having the most significant impact. However, the introduction of government e-procurement policies as a variable diminishes the individual effects of e-tendering, e-invoicing, and e-sourcing. Research, Practical & Social Implications: The study established a positive relationship between electronic procurement practices and project completion times, with higher implementation levels resulting in shorter project durations. However, organizations should evaluate their impact, balance oversight and efficiency. Originality/Value: By focusing specifically on the Nigerian public sector, testing clearly defined e-procurement elements, collecting robust primary data, and generating new context-specific evidence, this study makes an original, timely and valuable contribution to knowledge on the impact of e-procurement adoption.

Purpose: One of the most powerful and talked about approaches in the management and leadership of modern business today is Organisational Purpose. When placed at the heart of strategy, it is said to increase employee engagement exponentially, resulting in the unlocking of human potential, lighting up passion and enthusiasm within people, and beating the line in financial performance through overservicing and delighting customers, by as much as 42% compared to the stock market. However, as much as Organisational Purpose is heralded as the core motivation behind the sustainable success of any organisation, 90% of these purpose-led strategies fail in implementation. The article investigates this phenomenon. Theoretical Framework: This study falls within the framework where leadership and strategy implementation meet. One of the most profound gaps identified during the literature reviewed for this article is that the purpose (‘deep self’) of an organisation cannot be defined or even implemented without defining the individual purposes (‘deep self’) of its leadership, in that an organisation can only ever be as conscious as its leader. Design/ methodology/ Approach: This study, therefore, sets out to create a framework that can guide leaders towards implementing corporate purpose into organisational culture through raising leadership and organisational consciousness and, in doing so, overcoming this persisting barrier to implementation. By choosing Action Design Research as the methodology for this research, the researchers co-create a potential solution with 14 Chief Executive Officers, each a market leader within their diverse industries. Findings: A solution that suggests that the successful transformation of corporate purpose into organisational culture lies at the intersection of the individual purpose of each executive leader, the purpose of the organisation, and the individual purpose of each of its employees. Against the plethora of existing frameworks, which are by and large said to be unsuccessful in the face of implementation failure, the framework presented as a product of this study offers an alternative solution. Research, Practical & Social Implications: A practical solution that puts the potential of people at its heart is offered as a framework for implementation. Originality/Value: The framework is called: ‘The Growing Greatness Implementation Framework’. This presents a new and unique contribution to the current literature about Strategic Business Management.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the identification and elimination of inefficiencies within the furniture industry, with the overarching goal of enhancing operational effectiveness and productivity. Theoretical Framework: Drawing upon principles from Lean Manufacturing and Lean Office, this research emphasizes the critical role of waste reduction and process optimization within organizational contexts. Key theoretical underpinnings include Lean Thinking, Value Stream Mapping, and Strategies for Waste Elimination. Methodology: Employing a case study approach, this research examines the implementation of Lean Office principles within a small-scale furniture manufacturing company. Data collection methods encompass document analysis, direct observation, and interviews with key stakeholders. Specifically, the study focuses on analyzing ten projects undertaken over the past 18 months, assessing their complexity and impact on operational efficiency. Results and Discussion: Findings reveal a substantial 82.5% reduction in waiting time following the adoption of Lean Office principles. This reduction translates to enhanced customer service, improved product quality, and cost savings. The discussion section contextualizes these findings within the theoretical framework, highlighting implications and identified relationships, while also acknowledging potential discrepancies and limitations. Implications of the Research: The practical and theoretical implications of this study provide valuable insights into strategies for operational enhancement within the furniture industry. These insights extend to areas such as process optimization, waste reduction, and organizational efficiency, with potential applications across various sectors. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the existing literature by demonstrating the effectiveness of Lean Office principles in addressing inefficiencies within administrative environments. Its innovative approach to operational improvement underscores its relevance and potential impact on organizational practices.
