Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the factors influencing readers’ choice between audiobooks and physical books. The research focuses on how perceived ease of use and attachment to printed books affect the intention to adopt audiobook services. Theoretical Framework: The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is a prominent theory in the field of information systems that explains how users adopt new technologies. Method: For this research, the methodology comprises quantitative method, PLS-SEM analysis, and structural model evaluation. Data collection was carried out through online questionnaires. Results and Discussion: The study supports the role of Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) in increasing Perceived Usefulness (PU) for audiobooks. Attachment to physical books seems to be a complex factor not solely influenced by ease of use or perceived benefits of audiobooks. Research Implications: The study highlights the importance of user-friendly audiobook platforms. Providers should design intuitive interfaces and emphasize ease of use to attract new customers, communicate the practical benefits of audiobooks, such as convenience and utility, consider offering resources or programs that improve technology literacy and comfort, and develop strategies to address attachment by emphasizing how audiobooks can complement, rather than replace, the traditional reading experience. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by highlighting attachment to traditional reading formats as a factor influencing audiobook adoption. Previous TAM studies primarily focused on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. This study suggests that emotional attachment to physical books can be a resistance mechanism hindering audiobook adoption.

Purpose: This research explored the in-depth meaning of how multicultural employees perceive diversity in South African formal sector firms. In doing so, it extracted the lived experiences of multicultural employees about the cultural differences perceived within the country. South Africa is characterised by cultural and linguistic heterogeneity and a relatively large formal sector economy by African standards. Methodology: For this cross-sectional study, data were gathered through a homogeneous purposive sampling of nine participants and conducting semi-structured interviews. This small sample size allows for a thorough investigation into each participant's lived experience to gather qualitative data. The specific phenomenological method used in this study is a novel interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA), which seeks to extract data and discern meaning in the participants' narratives. Results: The findings were interpreted through the lens of social identity theory within an interpretative philosophical paradigm. These interpretations were leveraged to extract a central narrative that is grouped thematically. The main finding was identifying several factors that contribute to the spanning of cultural boundaries in South African formal sector firms. Practical Implications: The study identified how participants make meaning of their experiences within the formal sector of South Africa and how their interpretations shape their behaviour and attitudes. Originality/Value: The findings indicate that a significant amount of intra-country cultural diversity is perceived in the South African formal sector workplace, which can cause friction and reinforce cultural stereotypes.

Objective: To Identify and analyze the relationship between human resources management practices and the organizational commitment of workers at a Private Social Solidarity Institution. Theoretical Framework: It focuses on the study of high-performance work practices (Pfeffer, 1998; Becker et al., 2001) and Meyer and Allen (1991, 1997) organizational commitment model, based on three components, underlying three psychological states: affective, normative, and calculative. Method: A case study was carried out in a Private Social Solidarity Institution, based on a semi-directive interview with the person responsible for the institution and the application of a questionnaire survey on the components of organizational commitment (Nascimento et al., 2008) and on workers' perception of high-performance work practices (Esteves, 2008). The sample is mostly made up of female professionals, between 35 and 44 years old, with a degree or 12th year of scholarity, with functions in the area of education. Results and Discussion: It is concluded that human resources management practices are present in different ways in this organization and that workers are committed at different levels. At the same time, there is a correlation, sometimes statistically significant, between human resources practices and normative commitment and a low correlation, without statistical significance, between human resources practices and affective commitment. Research Implications: It allows the enrichment of knowledge of human resources management practices and organizational commitment, as well as the relationships they establish with each other in a particular context associated with social solidarity institutions, contributing to the design of management systems focused on organizational behavior. Originality/Value: It was the first study carried out in a national context on the two constructs in social solidarity institutions, contributing to increasing knowledge about the interrelationship between the two constructs by highlighting the importance of a relational and reflective approach to the importance of organizational behavior.

Objective: The objective of this study is to explore the application of cluster analysis in categorizing select Arab countries into cohesive groups based on institutional quality criteria, which consist of six indicators measuring good governance in country. These indicators cover various dimensions and allow describing the quality of services provided by the state in a specific area comprehensively. These dimensions include the scope of state intervention, these dimensions are The Political Dimension, The Economic Dimension and The Legal Dimension. Method: This study adopts a research methodology that combines both descriptive and quantitative approaches. The descriptive approach is based on presenting concepts and describing relationships among institutional quality criteria. The quantitative approach involves using cluster analysis methods: K-Means clustering and Hierarchical Clustering to classify 11 Arab countries: UAE, Bahrain, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen. This was done to conduct cluster analysis to test the homogeneity of these countries regarding institutional quality determinants, represented by the following variables: Participation and Accountability, Political Stability and Absence of Violence, Government Effectiveness, Legislative Quality, Rule of Law, Control of Corruption. Results and Discussion: The study reached the following results: - the K-Means Cluster Analysis Method is evident that The total number of cases classified in each cluster: Eleven countries were classified into seven countries: United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia in the first cluster and four countries in the second cluster: Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, and Yemen; -the variable Participation and Accountability does not significantly affect the classification of the Arab countries under study into homogeneous groups according to institutional quality indicators. However, variables such as Political Stability and Absence of Violence, Government Effectiveness, Regulatory Quality, Legislative Quality, Rule of Law, and Control of Corruption play a significant role in this classification; - the Hierarchical Clustering Analysis Method is evident that the Arab countries under study are distributed into two homogeneous groups. The first group forms Cluster 1, consisting of Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, the UAE, and Qatar. The second group belongs to Cluster 2, comprising Sudan and Yemen. This classification is based on institutional quality criteria. Originality/Value: This study sheds light on the importance of cluster analysis methods: the K-Means Cluster Analysis Method and the hierarchical cluster analysis method in classifying Arab countries according to the determinants of institutional quality, which are considered a determining factor for the economic growth of countries, and its consequent impact on various indicators ref

These indicators cover various dimensions and allow describing the quality of services provided by the state in a specific area comprehensively. These dimensions include the scope of state intervention, these dimensions are The Political Dimension, The Economic Dimension and The Legal Dimension. \u0000 \u0000Method: This study adopts a research methodology that combines both descriptive and quantitative approaches. \u0000 \u0000Results and Discussion: The study reached the following results: \u0000- the K-Means Cluster Analysis Method is evident that The total number of cases classified in each cluster: Eleven countries were classified into seven countries: United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia in the first cluster and four countries in the second cluster: Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, and Yemen; \u0000-the variable Participation and Accountability does not significantly affect the classification of the Arab countries under study into homogeneous groups according to institutional quality indicators. Objective: To analyze the adoption and use of the instant payment system, in parallel with informal installment sales, and its impact on the accounting and management of microentrepreneurs. Theoretical Framework: Microentrepreneurs face a major challenge in the business environment, which is the management of receipts. Since many of these do not occur at the time of sale, they use installment sales. Especially the informal ones, which in some places are called "fiado" or "pendura", as well as the "caderninho" (little notebook), alluding to the note for later payment. Method: The methodology involved a literature review covering PIX and its impact on informal commerce and business management. It also involved field research with microentrepreneurs and consumers using an electronic form. Results and Discussion: The findings highlight that the adoption of Pix has provided a more convenient and agile payment experience for consumers, especially in informal installment transactions. This has positively influenced consumer behavior, increasing the propensity to make installment purchases and generating greater loyalty. However, the implementation of PIX also presents challenges for microentrepreneurs, especially in terms of adapting accounting systems and financial management. The need to guarantee the security of transactions and comply with additional tax obligations is also highlighted as a concern for microentrepreneurs. Research Implications: This study has demonstrated that the adoption and use of PIX in informal installment sales has a significant impact on the accounting and management of microentrepreneurs, albeit with a limited scope of analysis. Originality/Value: These findings contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the effects and encourage further research into this technological innovation in the contemporary business context.
