Joint analysis of complex signals is essential for a better understanding of the principles underlying the complex systems dynamics. In our work we studied the mutual dynamics of two Gaussian distributed stochastic processes exhibiting either short-term or long-term correlations. We generated two copies of each surrogate process and applied the amplitude randomization procedure to one of them. We consider two methods for estimating the stability of their relative dynamics. The first one is based on the calculation of the phase synchronization coefficient Sync and the second one estimates the coefficient of time delay stability TDS between the processes. We found that the TDS does not react to the additive noise, in marked contrast to Sync. Both methods respond to the multiplicative amplitude randomization, but the sensitivity of the method based on the phase synchronization analysis is much higher. We also have shown that both of the coefficients Sync and TDS are more sensitive to the Gaussian noise, compared to the uniformly distributed noise scenario.

This paper concerns evolutionary algorithms for minimization exclusive-or sum-of-products representations of Boolean functions. These representations are used in logic synthesis for certain class of circuits. Minimization is based on a decomposition for Boolean functions with parameter function. Selection of this function is a search task which can be solved with evolutionary algorithms. Algorithms for obtaining approximately minimal formulas for Boolean functions of up to 8 variables are proposed.

We show that hardware implementation of digital filters is accompanied by the problem connected with using a finite number of bits for representing coefficients, input data and interim results. This problem leads to the deterioration of magnitude response and computation accuracy. We provide grounds for using modular coding in digital filters in order to exclude errors caused by finite capacity when computing output samples. Thus, it becomes possible to meet the requirements to computational accuracy and magnitude response without increasing hardware costs and computation time.

Paper describes some aspects of data processing in mobile heart monitoring systems. Authors highlight an important cardiological and social problem of arrhythmic pathologies of the heart and the possibilities of new medical equipment to detect the arrythmia. The architecture and the features of up-to-date monitoring systems are investigated. The specificity of long term ECG records is examined via the example of PAF Prediction Challenge Database from physionet.org. The scheme of open architecture modular ECG device is developed for experimental research of HRV analysis and arrhythmia paroxysms prediction. Data processing scheme that enables to design portative monitoring system for the detection of signs of arrhythmia and predict the arrhythmia paroxysm is proposed. Set of required ECG signal processing methods and algorithms is chosen.

Interval orderings were introduced in neoclassical economics for exploring effects related to nontransitive preference relations. Interval orderings can be generated by utility functions with a threshold. We consider utility functions with a random threshold. In contrast to the crisp case fuzzy preference relations generated by such functions may be transitive. Conditions under which it occurs are presented in this paper. We specify membership functions and t-norms which provide transitive preferences. Addition of fuzzy numbers with respect to the specified t-norms does not increase the uncertainty.

This paper aims to establish the leaf morphological visualization model based on the rice's growth external environment. Firstly, the support vector machine is adopted to establish the prediction models of leaf's physical attributes; secondly, the piecewise cubic Hermite spline curves are applied to visualize this model. This study, based on the quadratic equation simulation on the main leaf vein, presents that the leaf stretching direction can be realized with the integration method. The rice visualization model interacted with the environment can help people visually observe the growth morphological variation of the leaves and provide improvement ways for rice cultivation.

Proposes an approach to assessing the state of plant species (based on an example of assessing the state of large-leaved linden) in urban environment on the basis of fuzzy information from a group of experts. Formalization of the expert information is carried out on the basis of complete orthogonal semantic spaces. The proposed approach allows to avoid mistakes in the assessment of a single expert. Assessment of plant species needed for prediction of their state and landscaping plan.
