Rumi’s Sufism has not only flourished in Turkey, where the sufi was born, but also in many other far-flung world regions such as Nusantara. Its worldwide success invites many questions, for example, the reasons for its ability to attract both Muslims and non-Muslims. In Pidie, Aceh, Indonesia, one of its popular aspects is the sema ritual dance, which has spread to other Aceh sufi orders (tariqa), especially the Naqshbandi sufi order. This dance is an adaptation of foreign teaching and performance to local context in the location of the study, the village of Lampôh Saka in Pidie. Aceh’s sufi orders have succeeded in synthesizing foreign and local culture to create something uniquely their own. This study could offer an example of how to develop harmony and peace in Indonesian life, as exemplified by the sema dance, which symbolizes care towards creation while maintaining submission to the Creator.

This article examines the experience of da'wah, spirituality and economic resilience of jamaah tabligh in Langsa City. Jamaah Tabligh is a community that consistently carries out its da'wah to invite people to worship Allah Almighty by praying in congregation in mosques. The method of da'wah is done in the form of going to people's homes, traveling out of the area where they live by leaving their families in between two days, a week or even 40 days known as khuruj. Through observation of da'wah activities and family conditions, interviews with 5 males and 5 female jamaah tabligh families and one focus group discussion found that da'wah experiences, spiritual experiences and economic resilience of the jamaah tabligh families. That da'wah experiences face a number of challenges in the form of rejection and expulsion from the community faced calmly and patiently. The spiritual experience of increasing the sense of faith in the form of belief in the mercy of Allah has had an impact on the tranquility of the life of the family of the congregation. In terms of family economic resilience by the standards of dharuriyah and hajjiyah it has been fulfilled through savings, assistance from other jamaah members and side jobs by the wife of the jamaah.

Penelitian ini berjudul “Upaya Antisipatif Perilaku Komunitas LGBT Di Indonesia (suatu kajian tentang antisipatif dan peran edukasi tokoh agama)”. Adapun fokus kajian ini meliputi; (1) Peran tokoh agama terhadap pencegahan LGBT di kota Medan dan provinsi Aceh, (2) Kondisi perilaku LGBT di kota Medan dan provinsi Aceh, dan (3) Kebijakan pemerintah terhadap pencegahan LBGT di Medan dan Provinsi Aceh. Sementara subjek penelitian ini adalah tokoh agama dan pemerintah kabupaten/kota; kota Medan provinsi Sumatra Utara dan kota Langsa provinsi Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah purposive, yaitu penentuan subjek penelitian atas dasar pertimbangan tertentu. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah 15 tokoh agama, 2 Pejabat terkait pada dua kota madya; Medan dan kota Langsa provinsi Aceh. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Peran edukasi tokoh agama terhadap pencegahan perilaku LGBT di kota Medan dan provinsi Aceh, meliputi; sosialisasi bahaya LBGT, pembimbing, pendidik, peran sosial, dan figur (modeling). (2) Kondisi perilaku LGBT di kota Medan dan provinsi Aceh, berdasarkan berbagai sumber informasi yang diperoleh kondisi LGBT di Kota Medan Sumatera Utara mencapai 600 orang, sementara di Kota Langsa khususnya sampai saat ini belum ditemukan kasus LGBT, namun secara umum di provinsi Aceh terdapat 500 orang LGBT. Recently there has been a great interest invested in maximizing higher education students’ knowledge retention as well as increasing students learning experience using web technologies. Many higher education institutions upgrade their learning facilities by integrating virtual learning system to their education provisions. Educational content management system is now a primary requirement in higher education provisions. However, as for the context of Indonesian higher education, upgrading the learning system may mean a total change of the way classes are delivered. Most of Indonesian higher education teachers are those with minimal exposure of virtual technological use in classrooms. Although these teachers are familiar with the common internet tools especially the electronic mail system and internet social media, they are not yet familiar with managing a content management system. Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) ar-Raniry is one of Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN) that share similar context. This study was conducted to explore UIN Ar-Raniry teachers’ readiness in delivering blended learning using Virtual Learning Environment. 124 teachers were participating in this research. The index of technological acceptance is relatively high (3.78). However, on the contrary digital technology use related to delivering lecture is relatively low. The use of e-mail and facebook is relatively popular among these teachers. The study found that teachers are interested in using more convenient digital tools in their classes if the university supports the trainings and assigns educational technology consultant to help them establish the virtual class and help with their technical troubles.
