This research aims at analysing the implementation of zoning system and its effect on the Islamic education institution. It also analyses the opportunity and resistance of the implementation of Permendikbud No. 14 2018. The approach of this research is qualitative. The data sources are headmasters, parents or public community dealing with school and all documents related to the content of Permendikbud No. 14 2018. The data collection is done by doing observation, interview and taking the documentation related to the topic. The result shows: first, the response from the institutions under the education and culture department to this regulation are: 1) the state education institution located in the urban area both in the level of elementary and higher school have implemented the regulation; 2) state education institution located in the suburban area have not implemented the regulation; 3) the private education institution and institution under the pesantren’s authority have not implemented the regulation secondly, education institution under the Religious Department got the most positive effect from the regulation of Permendikbud No.14 2018 because the institution under the Religious Department 1) became the first choice because they do not implement the zoning system; 2) are challenged to increase their academic quality to fir the society’s need; 3) got significant additional students; third point is Islamic education institution have a bigger opportunity to get high quality newcomers because the enrolment is not restricted in zone, with change to increase the resources quality and upgrade the school’s image on the society, and also change the student’s enrolment system becomes more innovative.

Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) is the traditional Islamic educational institution. Kiai as the leader of pesantren has an authority in managing, choosing the education system, curriculum ( manhaj ) that will be used, and also kinds of text books that will be used in teaching and learning process. Generally, Kiai uses Kitab Kuning (KK, yellow books) also called classical Islamic books, as the material of teaching-learning in pesantren . This paper aims at examining teaching-learning of KK in pesantren . The research method of the study is qualitative . The results of the reseach are that 1) there are levels of learning material KK in line with cognitive development, 2) the pesantren applied the prerequisite knowledge, 3) the pesantren applied the methods of teaching learning, 4) the pesantren applied the tutorial of KK teaching learning.

Spiritual crisis is a factor leading to disorientation in today’s modern humans and the decline of morality of the nation. The low level of spirituality is caused by an educational approach that only focuses on the brain and ignores spiritual values. The Qur'an has actually affirmed the mission of spiritual education which should be used as a reference for the current education system. This article employs library research method through a comparison of the way the mufassirin interpret verses about the mission of spiritual education. The results show that the mission of spiritual education carried out by the Prophet Muhammad can be seen for example in Surat Al-Anbiya' verse 107, Surat Saba' verse 28 and Surat Al-Ahzab verse 21, namely rahmatan lil 'alamin (mercy to all creations). The prophet has brought evidence the truth to perfect the akhlậq, as well as to become the followers of uswah hasanah (perfect example) which must be imitated by all humans. Meanwhile, the stages of increasing spirituality in the Surat Luqman Verses 12-19, include: (1) instilling the tauhid values, (2) being filial to parents, (3) understanding the reciprocity of each deed, (4) command to worship, (5) introducing politeness in social life. Elements of spiritual education contained in Surat al-Muzzammil Verses 1-10 include qiyamul lail or night prayer, reciting the Qur’an in a tartil way, getting used to zikr, patience, jihad fi sabilillah or fighting on the path of Allah, and always praying and begging forgiveness from Allah.

The process of learning in the 21 st century is oriented towards innovative and creative activity. One of it is the integration of ICT literacy in learning. Fiqh learning mostly taught conventionally so that it is uninteresting. Therefore, this research would like to focus on the joyful learning method. The phenomenon was that the teacher conducted the learning using ICT literacy and made the environment fun. The focus of this study is how the implementation of joyful learning in Fiqh lesson based on vlog was and how was the students’ response. The data was collected through observation, and interview. The result was 1) the implementation of vlog was started with introduction, core content, and conclusion. This made the environment fun; 2) students’ responses were taken from 6 indicators which were: fun, interesting, interactive, self-confidence, more interactive, new knowledge, and content understanding. 55% of the students answered, 49% of the students strongly agreed, 38% of the students agreed, and 13% of the students disagreed.

Agama Islam merupakan agama yang kāffah, tidak hanya mengatur hubungan manusia dengan Tuhannya (vertical), amalan amalan yang berhubugan dengan ibadah atau sering dikenal dengan istilah aspek ritual, kebutuhan rohani seseorang seperti shalat, puasa, zakat, secara tidak langsung akan mendatangkan ketenangan dan kedamaian dalam jiwa.Akan tetapi juga mengatur pola hubungan antar sesama manusia (Horizontal), atau sering di kenal dengan istilah muamalah (aspek social) yang menekankan sikap toleran terhadap sesama makhluk, mengatur bagaimana pentingnya berbuat baik dan menempatkan diri pada posisi semestinya dalam berinteraksi dengan sesama,terpenuhinya aspek mu’amalah menjadi sangat penting bukan hanya sebagai pelengkap unsur ubudiyah, akan tetapi karena ia merupakan manifestasi dari kebenaraan ritual ubudiyyah, nilai-nilai yang terserap dari ritual ibadah selanjutnya akan bertransformasi dan bersinergi dengan aktifitas mu’amalah seseorang, yang tercermin dalam sikap yang luhur serta budi pekerti yang baik.Namun dalam realitas perjalan kehidupan masyarakat, dalam tataran perjalanannya sering terjadi ketidak seimbangan antara aspek ritual dan sosial, ritual ubudiyyah bagus akan tetapi aspek sosial (mu’amalahnya) kuarang bagus ataupun sebaliknya, yang akan berimplikasi pada kesenjangan hidup, kesenjangan antara aspek lahir dan batin yang selanjutnya akan menggiring pada tataran apatis terhadap sikap bermasyarakat. Misunderstanding can happen to everyone, either male or female, young or old. It happens to human beings in daily life, as a reflection of their genuine characteristics, that is fault and forgetfulness. The existence of them will not only set up misunderstandings but may bring about bad and good quality as well. As social beings, ones must make contact with others in their community. This kind of contact is the primary cause of the existence of misunderstanding. Literature, as the expression of the real life, of course, covers the whole human activities including misunderstanding, its cause and its effect. Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, is a comic story meant to amuse the readers or audiences through misunderstandings and comical circumstances leading to the appearance of some mistakes. Misunderstandings are mostly caused by the disguise of Viola as a boy. Because of the mystery, Antonio accuses her of being ungrateful and claims her to return the purse he gave before. Sir Andrew and Sir Toby attack her and Sebastian by mistake. Malvolio thinks her a gentleman when she is delivering messages and love letters to Olivia. The peak of all is that Olivia falls in love with Viola. She is sure that Viola is a real good-looking boy. She, Olivia, marries Sebastian by mistake. Meanwhile, Orsino who realizes that Olivia has got married with Sebastian, marries Viola in the end. The four main characters become two pairs of newly married couples and live happily. Sebastian lives happily with Olivia and Orsino lives peacefully with Viola. Misunderstandings have close relationship with the theme, the main idea. It can be a means of finding theme of the story by analyzing every happening of the play. So, there is a relationship of cause and effect between misunderstanding and theme, as one unity supporting one another. Misunderstandings causing the conflicts among characters become the way to find love theme of the story through analyzing all subject matters. It means misunderstandings can bring about love and marriage between them, primarily the main four characters and they lead to love theme of the story.

Misunderstandings are mostly caused by the disguise of Viola as a boy. Because of the mystery, Antonio accuses her of being ungrateful and claims her to return the purse he gave before. Sir Andrew and Sir Toby attack her and Sebastian by mistake. Malvolio thinks her a gentleman when she is delivering messages and love letters to Olivia. The peak of all is that Olivia falls in love with Viola. She is sure that Viola is a real good-looking boy. She, Olivia, marries Sebastian by mistake. Meanwhile, Orsino who realizes that Olivia has got married with Sebastian, marries Viola in the end. The four main characters become two pairs of newly married couples and live happily. Sebastian lives happily with Olivia and Orsino lives peacefully with Viola. \u0000Misunderstandings have close relationship with the theme, the main idea. It can be a means of finding theme of the story by analyzing every happening of the play. So, there is a relationship of cause and effect between misunderstanding and theme, as one unity supporting one another. Misunderstandings causing the conflicts among characters become the way to find love theme of the story through analyzing all subject matters. Pesantren is a stronghold of Indonesian morality. Pesantren never teach intolerance, coercion of religion, judge fellow human beings and even fellow Muslims. And pesantren never teach radical values in every learning to students. He was present as part of the formation of Indonesian civilization. Therefore, the existence of pesantren becomes very important in the continued development of the values of Islamic teachings which are rahmatan lil alamin and the stronghold of the strength of Indonesian morality. But lately, the existence of pesantren is confronted by various challenges of the times. The current position of globalization and the openness of democracy are part of the struggle for the challenges of the times and the seeds of religious radicalism develop behind the openness of democracy. Therefore, strengthening the existence and position of Islamic boarding schools must and always be strengthened both in the realm of the learning system and in its development. Thus, the existence of Pesantren will continue to exist as a stronghold of the strength of the morality of the Indonesian nation, which spread friendly and friendly without having to be burdened with the current of globalization and the progress of the times.

Branding sering diidentikkan dengan keberadaan sebuah institusi bisnis yang berorientasi profit. Namun dalam perkembangannya sudah banyak institusi non profit seperti organisasi pemerintah, LSM dan lembaga pendidikan seperti perguruan tinggi merasa perlu melakukan upaya branding. Dalam upaya melakukan branding, humas sebagai sebuah unit kerja yang berada di lembaga perguruan tinggi juga sering mendukung upaya ini. Hal ini menandakan bahwa perguruan tinggi pun memiliki kesadaran bahwa branding dan keberadaan humas bukanlah sekedar trend namun didasari pada kebutuhan pentingnya sebuah identitas yang dapat menunjukkan eksistensi perguruan tinggi di mata masyarakat. Namun pesatnya pertumbuhan perguruan tinggi keagamaan Islam swasta juga berdampak adanya persaingan dalam menarik calon mahasiswa. Untuk menarik calon mahasiswa ini perguruan tinggi keagamaan Islam swasta menggunakan cara-cara diantaranya dengan melakukan komunikasi yang intensif serta mengedepankan identitas perguruan tinggi agar lebih dikenal oleh masyarakat. Brand sebuah perguruan tinggi menjadi salah satu identitas institusi yang dikedepankan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi literatur. Penelitian ini akan melihat dari sudut pandang ilmu komunikasi yang menganalisis berbagai aspek yang dilakukan Humas dalam mendukung branding termasuk manajemen humas yang mengelolanya. Kesimpulan yang didapat adalah branding pada perguruan tinggi keagamaan Islam swasta perlu dilakukan dalam rangka memperkuat reputasi. Reputasi harus dibentuk melalui kinerja yang baik. Humas berperan dalam upaya branding tersebut.
