The Covid-19 pandemic has brought major changes, including education where most learning activities are conducted online. It is thus necessary to adapt into online learning policies where innovation is urgently needed. Among the innovations is an e-book titled Covid-19 Prevention Application (CPA) that contains Covid-19 disaster mitigation literacy for students. This research aims to: 1) produce an app for CPA; and 2) test the feasibility level of CPA app as a learning resource. The material in CPA app relates to disaster mitigation, linked to the Social Studies Learning for junior high schools, namely Social Change for the 9th graders (Class IX.1) at SMPN 21 Malang. This research and development modified Borg & Gall model, which is relevant to constructivism learning theory, Edgar Dale’s theory of experience, and cybernetic learning theory. Results show that the development of the CPA app is “highly feasible”. This result implied that CPA app offers solutions to help students in mitigating the Covid-19 disaster through creative learning. It is suggested that further large-scale trials will be conducted in the future to measure the level of effectiveness.

Mathematical representation is one of the mathematical recognition’s form. This study aimed to compare the ability of students' mathematical symbol recognition between learning using Student Activity Sheets characterized by mathematical representation and learning using group presentation assignment activities. The research method employed Posttest-Only Control Group Design, between the control class and the experimental class. The control class is a class with group presentation learning assignments while the experimental class is a class with learning that uses MFIs characterized by mathematical representations. The data were obtained by providing tests to measure students' mathematical recognition abilities. The data were analyzed by using the t-test. The results of calculations with the help of SPSS showed that data from both classes are normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of data analysis conducted by t-test showed sig. ≥0.05 so H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted which means that there was no difference in the ability to recognize mathematical symbols between the control class and the experimental class. There was no difference in recognition abilities between the control class and the experimental class because learning activities in both classes are student-centered learning.

Online learning in Fashion Design Vocational School finds challenges in its application, especially in the practical learning method. One of the strategies used in practicum is by using video blogs in the process of delivering a practical lesson. This study aimed to find student perceptions in learning that utilizes online video blogs, the process of transmitting meaning on distance learning, and advantages and disadvantages of video blogs. There were 5 participants and 1 source person. The methods of data collection were conducted by doing interview, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The method employed in this study was a qualitative case study method conducted in the Decorating Cloth Appreciation class in the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The results showed that: (1) There were positive perceptions in online practicums related to teaching and learning aspects and the delivery of material with vlogs, negative perceptions were found on aspects of internet network limitations and student learning facilities during online learning. (2) The process of transmitting meaning was supported by instructional communication between educators and students. (3) The advantages of video blog media were in the aspect of delivering easy-to-understand content, the flexible and repetitive nature of the media user online. The lack of video blog media lies in the uneven understanding of students, especially in practicum cases which often lead to different findings in practice. It can be concluded that the use of video vlogs can be an alternative learning resource in distance practicum learning.

Media is an important component in multidisciplinary social studies learning that must be presented in an integrated method. This study aimed to design learning media "SIMBA" (Social Studies Instructional Media Based on Android) and to analyze the feasibility based on an assessment by experts and students. The stages in this research and development were carried out by adopting 4D development, namely: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Due to limitations, the research was only carried out at the development stage, The research data is a feasibility assessment using a Likert scale from expert and VII grade students at SMP Negeri 21 Malang were collected using a questionnaire. The data were then analyzed by using the percentage descriptive technique. The results of the development were learning media which contains six menu components, namely: the competency and objectives, learning materials, our surroundings, videos, quizzes, and the developer menu. The results of the assessment from experts are “Very Appropriate”. While the students showed similar things which means the learning media "SIMBA" was feasible and could meet the needs of students in the learning process. Based on the weaknesses of this study, it is necessary to develop similar applications in other subjects that are capable of producing offline applications and can be accessed by teachers and students in the future.
