The study intends to develop a teaching model to foster Indonesian students to be autonomous learners. The study is participatory action research with a mixed method. The research subjects were English department students of State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung and IAIN Kediri taking Writing 1. The instrument was adapted from an established mechanism to meet the purpose of the study. The researcher analyzed the Quantitative data through correlated t-test, repeated measure ANOVA, and thematic content analysis. There were eight stages in the survey: identifying needs, setting goals, planning to learn, selecting resources, selecting learning strategies, practice, monitoring progress, and assessment and revision. These all stages were designed and determined together by the teachers and students. The results reveal that there are four main stages to enhance the students' autonomy in writing. The first is freewriting, in which the students wrote a paragraph freely on any topic they liked. Having finished this first draft, they were to self-check their work based on some criteria provided. The second is peer correction, in which they exchanged their work with their peers (peer correction) to gain some suggestion, discipline, and comments. The third is edited free-writing. Having got some advice, revision, and comments from peers, they started to revise their work. The last is the final copy. In this stage, they were to have a final self-check. Statistical analysis also reveals that this strategy significantly increases the students' learning autonomy

During the Covid-19 pandemic, one of the abilities that every individual must have is to be able to understand well the information that is widespread on digital platforms. The amount of information that uses English terms often creates pros and cons in society because of the inability to understand the meaning contained in the text. Even though English is the language of connection that will bridge the occurrence of interaction feedback globally. The focus of the author is to provide socialization and assistance to residents using an ethnographic approach that combines historical methods, observation, and interviews. This aims to explain the importance of understanding a foreign text from various disclosure of information with the assistance of literate culture as an act preventive against hoaxes, especially for residents of the District Kaliombo, Kota Kediri. However, information can be a trigger for weak immunity and affect people's thinking, language, and behavior. Linguistic Politeness will describe the characteristics of the community itself and become a major foothold in the act. Several pending findings resulted.

Islam, according to the meaning of its name, is certainly synonymous with peace, but some Moslem direct it as a promoter of violence, chaos, and terror. Many teachings that are brought by the Prophet, perfected morality is an important point of his teachings that are escaped by his followers who like to spread violence, chaos, and terror. The concept of moderate Islam is not a new idea. It has been around since the Prophet taught it to his Companions. This can be explored from various historical literature and hadith texts. Especially in Indonesia, Moderate Islamic Education can always be found in Pesantren, not only ideas and concepts but also practices. This paper will try to explore how Moderate Islamic Education is taught and practised in Pesantren, especially in Pesantren Progressive Bumi Shalawat Sidoarjo. Pesantren which since its establishment in 2010 has been cooperating with ITCC (Indonesia Tionghoa Culture Center), AIESEC (Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques ET. Commerciales) and Japan Foundation to get a native speaker as a foreign language teacher and culture sharer. More than 15 people from various countries have been actively involved in becoming teachers in this Pesantren with various religious backgrounds. A tolerant and respectful attitude that is grown and developed from the school-age to become a moderate Muslim appears with the presence of the foreign teacher. With the case study method, the writer will analyze the existing situation in Pesantren Progresif Bumi Shalawat Sidoarjo related to moderate Islam which is taught and practised there.
Pesantren自2010年成立以来,一直与ITCC(印度尼西亚中华文化中心)、AIESEC(国际科学、经济和商业学生协会)和日本财团合作,寻找母语为母语的人作为外语教师和文化分享者。
