This paper introduces the studies on Horizontal Coverage Pattern (HCP) for Bus Detection Devices (BDD). BDD is a device which functions to assist blind people in detecting bus at the bus stop. The prototype of BDD was developed using RFID technology which consists of RFID reader, UHF passive tags and computer. Various testing and experiment have been done to improve the functionality of the device developed. One of them is a Horizontal coverage pattern test which been conducted to determine the coverage area covered by different type of UHF passive tags. The Rectangular Coverage Pattern (RCP) also has been introduced in this paper. The discussion on analysis made also describe in this paper. The significant result may improve the quality of research developed.

Basically, freshness contributes a major factor to quality of fishery products. Several methods have been used to measure fish freshness which are sensory analysis, chemical method and physical method. The aim of the study is to make a comparison between fish freshness meter and quantification of RGB color indices in order to detect fish freshness. The sensor used in this study is Torrymeter which would measure three types of species while quantification of RGB color is focused on the fish eyes and gills.

The rapid development of mobile communications systems today, along with the changing times and technology, both in terms of hardware, operating system used and the use of Internet bandwidth, making some mobile applications also contribute to exploit these developments. Mobile Commerce Applications for an example, became the most popular applications for mobile users who do not want to trouble yourself with having to carry cash everywhere. An important technology behind mobile payments is called Near Field Communication (NFC). As an indication that NFC represents the potential and tremendous business, leading companies such as Nokia, Microsoft and NXP Semiconductors, actively engaged in the NFC Forum. Shopping application process integrated with NFC technology-based on Android. Shopping application system designed, for the 2 sides: on the user and on the merchant sides, by leveraging the use of handset that already has NFC technology.

The objective of this research is to develop a low cost non invasive method to measure fat content in burgers using Near-Infrared Radiation (NIR) sensor. The results of the fat measurement from this non invasive method were then compared to the results of fat measurement using a proven method. The Soxhlet method is a standard fat measurement procedure recommended by the Association of Official Analytical Chemist (AOAC). The samples used in this investigation are beef and fish burgers. The experimental results showed that there is correlation between fat content and the output voltage from the infrared sensor. This indicates that fat measurement using the infrared measurement technique can be used to determine fat content in burgers with reasonable accuracy by controlling several parameters such as ambient temperature, surrounding light, thickness and water content of the samples.

Geographic Information System (GIS) data is needed for modelling earth surface in 3D simulation for SAR operation to make simulation proses as real as possible. Adding integrated GIS data server to simulation sistem make simulation application user does not need to input and prepare the GIS data manually, by reducing simulation application user task, user can more concentrate on simulation proses. In this thesis GIS data server that can provide data needed by the simulation application is designed and implemented by using Web Map Service (WMS) protocol. The designed server needed to able create GIS map from any available format data including already created GIS map from another GIS data server that exist in internet or intranet. The experiment to test server capability and functionality is tested by using several desktop GIS application and virtual globe. The test result show that designed server can function well to serve GIS map to 3D simulation application to create earth surface model. Experiment to test Tile caching and Image Pyramid show that this two methods can really give significant result to improve GIS map loading in 3D simulation application memory system.

Full parallax hologram display can be used for three dimensions biomedical images for medical analysis. The hologram display in this case study has three transparent screen sides. The transparent screen itself is a rectangular glass pyramid with three of the faces used for forming the full parallax hologram images. On this paper, it is designed to display a medical tomography hologram with several research objectives. The hologram tomography is parallax optimized on every side of hologram glass screen. Depth perception is applied on three dimensions hologram. The perspective is also made to be linear and consistent. There are some theories for tomography processing and full parallax hologram, tomography alignment and reconstruction, and three dimensions hologram biomedical visualisation sections.

Game SAN is a simulation game of diagnosis of coronary artery using 99mTc-Tetrofosmin that developed as a media learning for grade XII high school students as a form of integration subjects of chemistry, physics, and biology. One of the most important part in the process of game development is the game interface design. The interface is an important part in the game that supports communication between users and the game. A good interface design will be able to produce ease, naturalness, and involves the interaction between user and system and allows users to do the jobs they need. The study focused on the design and implementation of visual interfaces of game SAN, with regard to the principles of good interface development in the form of simplicity, feedback, similarity, and familiarity. Visual interface that will be examined consists of four main components of a game interface, including the physical inputs, physical outputs, virtual interface, and the game world. Based on the results of testing the 17 respondents, aspects of usability from heuristics Nielsen shows that game SAN is flexible and efficient with enough categories (69.12%), aesthetic and minimalist design with good category (73.24%), help and documentation with good category (76.47%), and recognize than recall with good category (76.26%). Testing aspects of user experience shows that users feel satisfied, comfortable, and happy to use the SAN game with good category (80.88%).

Infrared Guitar is a musical instrument that belongs to the Digital Musical Instruments (DMI). This guitar uses infrared light instead of strings and chords. This guitar is one of the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), which can result in the form of MIDI sound in real-time. Infrared Guitar input consists of two parts, namely the strings and the chord. Both parts are used as an infrareds transmitter and photodiodes as a receiver. When your finger blocking infrared rays received by photodiodes, the output will change. The combination of these two parts of the input will be processed by a microcontroller and then the data is sent to the computer. The computer will process the data and will produce guitar tones in the form of MIDI sound on the speakers. The advantages of Infrared Guitar is easy to play, because one guitar chord can be played using one finger to press a virtual button (infrared). Players do not need to memorize chord guitar to play songs. Another advantage is the players are not feeling the pressure of strong strings as in conventional guitar, so it does not cause pain to the fingers after playing for long.

Economic crisis that had happened at 1997-1998 in Indonesia has stimulated researchers to study it further by utilizing economic indicators. The economic indicators, GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and inflation per year from 1980-2011, will be tested using time series analysis and system dynamic optimized by genetic algorithm. This research have applied system dynamic in order to get characteristic value of prediction economic crisis in Indonesia with various conditions besides genetic algorithm (GA) is used to help the dynamic system in finding a coefficient of data historic optimization. The methods prior to predict consist of two phases, i.e. training and testing. The result shows 93%-99% accuracy for training and up to 90% for testing. It concludes that the prediction system is able to fit data in finding historical optimal without avoid error.

Classical learning is still experiencing serious problem, especially in learning outcomes and students' low motivation to learn particular subjects of Natural Science (IPA). Learning in the classroom is still implementing a teacher-centered learning paradigm puts the teacher as a source of knowledge. At the present stage of development a child is happy and looking for new challenge. This is demonstrated by the tendency of school-age children like to play the game because in generally game presents new word and challenges. Space Exploration 3D Game is developed for classical learning which can visualize the material or the concept of science (physics) the standard of competence to understand the solar system and the processes that occur in it.
