The establishment of a reasonable container port safety production standardization evaluation system can effectively promote the construction of port safety production standardization system, and improve the safety management level of container ports. This paper constructs a standardization evaluation system of container port safety production, which is composed of 15 first-level indexes and 46 second-level indexes. The entropy weight method is used to determine the index weight, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to evaluate the container production safety standardization level. This paper makes an empirical analysis on the standardization evaluation system of container port safety production by using the data of two container ports along the Yangtze River in China, puts forward some suggestions on the development of safety work, according to the evaluation results, and also provides a reference about the standardization of safety production for other container ports.

This research is aimed to study potential causal factors of pilot fatigue events and patterns of different consequences caused by theses events, and to put forward corresponding improvement measures. Firstly, taking 250 typical fatigue events collected from ASRS in 2012-2016 as samples, the Element Event Analysis Method (EEAM) is used to split the content of the reports, in this way, 5 fatigue causes, 6 contributory causes and 7 event consequences are obtained. Secondly, using ECCAIRS encoding rules to make fatigue reports encoding rules, which can encode the sample events information, then the effective actions based on different events encoding are taken. Taking a fatigue report from ASRS as an example, the empirical analysis results show that fatigue events can be effectively and quickly distinguished through classification analysis and scientific encoding of the acquired flight fatigue events, at the same time, corresponding control measures could be conceived and taken in an appropriate manner.

The rapid development of ride-hailing services has sparked debate about their role in urban transport. While there are several studies exploring impacts of ride-hailing services on transportation systems, little work has been done to study mode choice transitions of ride-hailing users. This paper investigates ride-hailing use in November 2018 in Chengdu, China. We use survey results to depict usage characteristics of ride-hailing trips and users. A binary logit model is utilized to investigate factors influencing mode transitions because we suspect that the previous mode has an important effect on the future mode choice (when ride-hailing services is banned or heavily restricted). Ride-hailing services caters specially to younger and educated respondents. Although total shares of car-based modes (drive alone, taxi, get a ride with friends /family) does not show obvious changes, many respondents would shift away from taxi towards transit, bike, and driving alone. Besides, some respondents who used transit previously would be more likely to choose taxi. Our study could offer insights for relative regulations and policies.

Unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) are becoming increasingly vital in a variety of maritime applications. The development of a real-time autonomous collision avoidance system is the pivotal issue in the study on USVs, in which the reliable collision risk detection and the adoption of a plausible collision avoidance maneuver play a key role. Existing studies on this subject seldom integrate the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 (COLREGS) guidelines. However, in order to ensure maritime safety, it is of fundamental importance that such a regulation should be obeyed at all times. In this paper, an approach of real-time collision avoidance has been presented with the compliance with the COLREGS rules been successfully integrated for USV. The approach has been designed in a way that through the judgment of the collision situation, the velocity and heading angle of the USV are changed to complete the collision avoidance of the obstacle. A strategy with reference obstacle is proposed to deal with the multiple moving obstacles situation. A number of simulations have been conducted in order to confirm the validity of the theoretic results obtained. The results show that the algorithms can sufficiently deal with complex traffic environments and that the generated practical path is suitable for USVs.

In order to determine the relationship between the collision speed and the crack radius of the windshield during the collision of pedestrians and vehicles, the Finite Element model of the crack propagation of the windshield, the multi-body model of the collision between pedestrians and vehicles, and the improved coupling model were constructed. On this basis, the impact of the constructed parameters on the collision response was analyzed and the reasonable parameters were determined. Furthermore, the validity of the model was verified by the actual accident cases. By the collision simulation with a speed of 10-15m/s and a deceleration of 6m/s2, the radius of the annular crack under the corresponding collision condition and an empirical formula for the collision velocity and the radius were obtained. The conclusions can provide new ideas and methods for the reconstruction of collision speed.

As one of the world famous navigation architectures, Three Gorges ship lock plays a significant role in the inland water transport system of China. Combining analytic hierarchy process and discrete fuzzy set, the factors that may affect the navigation safety of the Three Gorges Ship Lock are analyzed step by step from the perspectives of human, ship, environment, and management by using expert survey data. The results show that the total contribution rate of safety management to the navigation risk of the Three Gorges Ship Lock is up to 16%, and the human factor is a crucial factor affecting the navigation risk. The utility of risk control schemes can be evaluated through risk assessment. Suggestions are further made for maritime administration and accident prevention in the Three Gorges Ship Lock waters.

Nowadays, with the development of humanistic consciousness, the residents' travel behavior is becoming more and more important to be considered in urban planning, and has become an important reference for urban traffic construction. The ridesourcing softwares like Uber and Didi have been widely accepted and used. As a model of travel, the ridesourcing has many features, like convenience and flexibility, and the origin and destination of every trip are completely determined by passengers, the running track of vehicles can directly reflect the travel behavior of urban residents. So this paper will study the passengers’ travel behaviour by data mining based on the Didi order data, try to reveal the travel characteristics of urban residents from a macro perspective. This paper focuses on these issues: to analyze the order data from ridesourcing company Didi; to explore the temporal characteristics of passengers’ travel from different angles like the temporal distribution of travel, the distribution of peak hour, time consumption; to analyze the spatial characteristics from the different aspects including the distribution of travel distance, travel hot spots; to propose an optimization model of the taxi stand location by analyzing travel characteristics, which can improve user’s experience of residents by setting up reasonable site layout. Finally we found that the ridesourcing track data can well reveal travel characteristics of urban residents, which could be helpful for the urban planning and road network optimization.
