China is in the key phase which emphasizes emergency management construction and management and it is meaningful to enhance the research on the innovation of emergency mechanism. Based on new analysis and definition of the implication and systematic framework constitution of emergency management mechanism, and combined with the current practical condition of emergency management work in china, innovation analysis focused on five critical weak points, such as risk management and insurance mechanism, information management mechanism, information publication and public opinion intervention mechanism, interest appeal mechanism, supervisory evaluation and accountability mechanism, which must be set up and improved urgently during the construction process of emergency management mechanism.

Business strategy and ownership structure are important determinants of the competitive advantage of firms in market economies. The Chinese firms have experienced dramatic changes related to these two issues. A combination of case studies in this paper serves to identify the specific behavior of Chinese firms that operate in a transitional society undergoing social and economic transformation. The behavior of Chinese firms reflects the coexistence of both market-based and politically-oriented factors. The study also shows that a specific ownership structure is associated with the business strategies employed. The interaction between business strategy and ownership structure helps explain the process of the development of the Chinese firms within China's context.

Entrepreneurial orientation (EO) has become a core concept in the entrepreneurship research area, which represents a firm's tendency to commit to innovation, act proactively and take some kind of risks. This paper makes a brief introduction of the concept, dimensions as well as the dimensionality of EO, and reviews literature concerning about the relationship between EO and firm performance, including the direct effect and the moderating effect of third variable. Some simple comments about previous studies and suggestions for future research are also presented.

The current business context is more and more characterized by innovation capability as a key factor to boost firm's competiveness. Chinese firms are devoting its actions to develop science and technology to innovate their success. Inspired by synergetics and portfolio innovation, we propose that innovation synergy is an important means to reconfigure competencies and reduce the resource deficiency in order to exploit competitive advantage and success. System dynamics is an insightful approach to the problem structuring to investigate and illuminate the synergy effectiveness of innovation. We establish a SD model of a new venture in China to explore the synergy effect from the interaction of different innovation elements. Results show that as technology market, culture, and process innovation input increase, firm could fully exploit the benefits of innovation synergy and favor its growth and success.

CHINT group, a typical cluster firm, is selected in this paper for discussing the decision mechanism of local search and extra-local search based on the cluster firms' growth stages. The results indicate that local search and extra-local search show different effects on firms at different growth stages. Besides, we find an interesting phenomenon: along with cluster firms' five growth stages, the role of local search changes from dominant to supportive, and finally becomes concise; while extra-local network seems to co-develop along with the firm's growth positively.

A supply chain with a Third Party Logistics (TPL) service provider involved is studied using game theory. The factor of logistics service level is considered to see the effect on the supply chain's total profit. In addition, the profit allocation problem is also discussed in the paper. Then we find out that, when supplier, retailer and TPL use the collaborative decision-making strategy, the sales volume will increase, the logistics service will be improved and the total profit will rise too. With a reasonable allocation method, supply chain members will cooperate actively to realize the Pareto improvement.

There are more and more challenges in development of today's cities. Developing an intelligent, inclusive and sustainable city is the way to go in the future. On the other hand, information technology, knowledge management, innovative networks are shaping the face of our world, which makes our cities more knowledge intensive and innovation-driven. The strategic schema of smart cities on the aspect of functions, namely science and technology strategy, economic strategy, talent and education strategy, culture strategy, managerial strategy, ecology/environment strategy, and the competitive strategy were discussed. Finally, the importance of strategic schema as well as the relationship between the smart city and the innovative city was discussed in brief.

Based on the literature research, the paper constructed the evaluation systems of technology innovation ability (TIA) and the industrial competitiveness(IC). Using statistical data from yearbook of Zhejiang manufacturing industry, the paper tried to evaluate the TIA and IC. With the set pair analysis method, it studied the coordination of TIA and IC. The results showed that part of the TIA and IC appeared to be “strong potential” relationship. In a word, the TIA and the IC of Zhejiang manufacturing are well coordinated.
