Innovation is in limelight not only in the western world, but also in emerging markets. In the backdrop of this fertile environment, facilitating firms with building innovation capability is seen as a necessity. A structured approach to innovation management, then should extend beyond, for creating new business models in the competitive arena. This may be brought to practitioners, and students at business schools alike, in order to emphasize that this relatively new phenomenon is far too important to postpone. A survey conducted with business schools in India has shown that they are far behind not only in taking up innovation management as a major management discipline, but also advancing further to introduce business innovation concept especially in their courses on entrepreneurship.

Based on the relation-oriented context of China, social capital plays significant role in daily life. This article provides comprehensive literature review not only about entrepreneurial decision-making, social capital, and entrepreneurial self-efficacy but also the relationship among them. On the base of the detailed theory, this article introduces entrepreneurial self-efficacy as medium between entrepreneurial decision-making and social capital which offers a new perspective for researchers. In the end the future direction is suggested to deepen the concepts and construct systematic framework.

The aim of this paper is to describe the public intermediary's activities in innovation processes through a case study of China Science & Technology Service Center (CSTSC) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The paper proposes a basic business model analytic framework for public intermediaries with four main components including core value, financial aspects, infrastructure management and customer interface. CSTSC does well in customer relationship and value configuration and has a good business model to support high-quality and high-efficiency services for SMEs.

This study utilizes data envelopment analysis (DEA) method to evaluate the relative efficiency of R&D capabilities among 31 provinces in China. R&D expenditure and R&D personnel are regarded as R&D inputs while patents granted and academic papers are considered as R&D outputs. The research result indicates that (1) less than 25% of the provinces achieve CRS-efficiency of 1 from the year 2003 (output in 2006) to 2005 (output in 2008) and over 58% of the provinces are below the average CRS-efficiency level from the year 2003 (output in 2006) to 2005 (output in 2008). (2) More provinces achieve technical efficiency from the year 2003 (output in 2006) to 2005 (output in 2008). And all these provinces come from the low development regions. (3) R&D investments do not demonstrate scale economy and few provinces exhibit increasing returns to scale.

This paper mainly discusses the element “learning” in internationalized new ventures (INVs) from several dimensions., focusing on answering the following questions - why/what/how do INVs learn and what are the results of learning. Based on these questions., it comes out the four dimensions discussed in this paper-the motivations of learning., the content of learning., the process of learning., the results of learning. In the end., this paper summaries the intrinsic logic between the dimensions and briefly discusses the future research directions.

The purpose of the paper is to explain how innovating firms mitigate institutional risks in China's catching up economy. We propose that firms may develop an institutional capability that offsets the risks of underinvestment in - and inaccessibility of resources in the institutional context for innovation. By combining insights from the resource-based view and institutional theory, we contribute to the institutional approach to innovation by suggesting that firms can take over certain institutional functions. In our empirical qualitative study of entrepreneurial software ventures in Zhejiang, China, we identify three sources of institutional capability: local knowledge sharing, legitimacy creation and strategic flexibility. We suggest that the presence of these sources enhances the potential of a firm to create an institutional capability for innovation.

The synergy between technical factors and marketing factors is the key to success of technology innovation in an enterprise. We are trying to explore the synergetic mechanism of technological factors and marketing factors in the private high-tech enterprises, based on the case study of Dahua Technology Co., LTD. This Research found that Product Center is the main department to practice synergy between technology and marketing functions, and the synergy is of multi levels and dynamic nature, combined with the case of Dahua.

How R&D network boundary spanning works? We review the literature of boundary spanning of a firm, and propose an integrative framework of how R&D boundary spanning activities works in terms of geographic, organizational and knowledge boundaries, based upon the review of R&D network literature. Our framework has some theoretical implications for R&D boundary spanning literature and innovation research, and some practical implications for the firms.

The application of Internet of Things(IOT) technology has brought the transformation of wisdom-logistics, and also has provided a new development space for the logistics enterprises. But, it should be a clear understanding that the application of IOT is still in its infancy in the field of logistics, where there are still many immature in its technology, safety and mode. According to the understanding of situation, this article systematically analyzes the current obstacles in the application of IOT in logistics enterprises, as well as the development stages and characteristics of near-medium-term trend of IOT in them. Besides, the article also proposes three drive modes in Logistics field, on the purpose of providing some references for the logistics enterprises, who could seize future opportunities and meet challenges.
