Web-based psychosocial interventions for survivors of child sex tourism and their families: a rethink of counselling 基于网络的儿童性旅游幸存者及其家庭心理社会干预:对咨询的反思

Daily, in almost every part of the world, series of maltreatment are meted on the children. Because of their vulnerability, the time has come to take serious actions and unreserved measures to end this inhumane treatment and support the victims and their communities. Children are innocent beings and are the last hope of every community and nation and deserve a decent and safe environment to grow to the fullest. This is a fundamental human right as capsulated in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), an international legal instrument of universal significance. A systematic review of the works of literature using information collected from different sources was actuated. Google search engine, google scholar, web of science, and Scopus database were used to search for these articles. During the search, combinations of words and phrases were used to ensure articles reflected the most current knowledge and scholarly works. The systematic searches beget varied and voluminous articles that had to be sieved not only to meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria but also to ensure the fundamental objectives of the study are wrangled. In summary, the potentials of web-counseling include but are not restricted to unlimited access and improved seeking behavior, affordability, convenience, limited pressure, permanent record availability, anonymity, independence and autonomy, empowerment, geographical barriers elimination, less feeling shy, freedom of expression, confidentiality, and privacy, efficiency and effectiveness improvement, all-time access to multiple therapists, resources with no transport cost and hassle, and client-driven therapy sessions

Zoom breakout room for students’ collaborative skill enhancement in history learning during Covid-19 outbreak 新冠肺炎疫情期间,学生在历史学习中的协作技能提升的Zoom突破室

The new transformation in history learning is needed in online learning, especially when it comes to improving students’ collaborative skills in solving problems, finding solutions, making decisions, and negotiating to achieve particular goals in 21st-century learning skills. Virtual learning rooms such as Zoom are used to ensure students’ involvement and collaboration in learning and provide opportunities for students to realize active learning with many features that can be applied. Despite many studies that have portrayed virtual learning with Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic, fewer studies seek the utilization of Zoom Breakout Room in history learning. This study uncovered how teachers enhance students’ collaborative skills in history learning through the Zoom Breakout Room. The current study employed the qualitative approach under the case study design. In-depth interviews were directly conducted with one history teacher who was experienced in working history learning with Zoom Breakout Room to obtain the empirical data. The results showed that Teachers could use the zoom Breakout Room to improve students’ collaborative skills. In the current study, the Zoom Breakout Room, as one of the innovative tools in the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) answered the ineffective learning with large groups in Zoom main room discussion. The breakout Room feature in Zoom itself supported an active learning process. The students are given more space to communicate in small groups and seek information, discuss, solve problems, and make collective agreements. The Zoom Breakout Room could be an alternative for teachers in facing learning challenges amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

The empirical analysis of production-based entrepreneurship training model, readiness and locus of control towards students entrepreneurship self efficacy 生产型创业训练模式、准备度和控制源对大学生创业自我效能感的实证分析

This research was conducted because the students' self-efficacy in entrepreneurship is still low. Production-based entrepreneurship training model, learning readiness is assumed to be a factor that affects student entrepreneurship self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to examine the contribution of the production-based entrepreneurship training model, learning readiness, and locus of control to student entrepreneurship self-efficacy. This study uses quantitative methods with multiple regression. The population is all students who take the general course of entrepreneurship in Higher Education as many as 500 people, and a sample of 200 students who are selected using proportional stratified random sampling. The questionnaire stands as an effective data collection method to examine the variables to be measured and the answers expected by the respondents. The questionnaire applied the Likert scale by providing opportunities to answer each item. Data were analyzed using multiple regression. The research findings show that there is a joint contribution of the production-based entrepreneurship training model, learning readiness, and locus of control to the entrepreneurial self-efficacy of students

English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI): A primary school teachers’ and students’ perceptions 英语作为教学媒介(EMI):小学教师和学生的认知

The English language is becoming a global lingua franca, given its association with critical turns such as globalization, global economy, international communication, and the Internet. Many countries try to develop their countries start from the educational sector and put English as the language needed to learn in schools of many countries such as Indonesia. The use of English was becoming a global phenomenon that English is becoming a language of instruction in schools. The impact of utilizing English suggests that in a few universal academic settings, there is an apace developing inclination for English received as a medium of instruction (EMI). EMI applied in many educational levels started from the University, High School, and even in the early grade, such as Primary School. With the use of EMI in many educational systems, several issues rose related to its use in the classroom. Many of the studies found a lack of English proficiency, both from teachers and students in the use of EMI and several other problems. Related to this issue, the researcher conducted a study. Through a qualitative study in a case study design, the perception of teachers and pupils of a primary school in Palembang was explored and investigated. The participants of this study were the fifth-grade teachers and pupils in Paramount School Palembang. The data were collected by open-ended interviews with 3 Science teachers, 2 Mathematics teachers and 12 pupils in Paramount School Palembang. Thematic analysis was used in analyzing the data, and then the data were coded and classified into categories to form big themes based on the perceptions and information. The data analyzed revealed a consistency between teachers' and pupils' perceptions about EMI use in the classroom. The result mentioned that the teachers and pupils had positive perceptions because of the benefit of using English as a medium of instruction.

The professionalism of vocational high school supervisors: a study of qualitative analysis 职高主管职业化:质性分析研究

Supervisors carry out educational supervision to develop a better quality learning environment, including vocational high schools (VHS). This research is qualitative research with a case study research design. The main target of the research is VHS supervisors in Padang City. This research is limited to describing the professionalism of supervisors qualitatively. The data sources of this research were crucial informants, who were determined purposively. Data collection techniques with interview and observation techniques. Data analysis by collecting data, coding, linking, and interpreting themes. The results showed that the professionalism of VHS supervisors in carrying out their duties is still not following the quality standards of supervisors. The conclusion is that the supervisor's low professionalism is indicated by the supervisor's low motivation, lack of pride in his profession as a supervisor, the supervisor is not independent, and the supervisor's verbal communication is not good.

Prediction of the graduation rate of engineering education students using Artificial Neural Network Algorithms 应用人工神经网络算法预测工科学生毕业率

The graduation rate of engineering education students on time dramatically affects the quality of learning. The purpose of this study is to predict the graduation rate of engineering education students. The method uses an artificial neural network algorithm combined with particle swarm optimization and forward selection, with 234 samples. The test results with Artificial Neural Network obtained 82.61% accuracy with predictions on time 149 and not on time 62. Artificial Neural Network with Particle Swarm Optimization obtained 91.30% accuracy with predictions on time 165, not on time 69. Furthermore, Artificial Neural Network with Particle Swarm Optimization and reduced by forwarding selection obtained 95.65% accuracy with predictions of the number of graduations on time 165 and not on time 69. Thus, the combination of the three algorithms can predict the graduation rate of engineering education students with high accuracy.

An examination of smartphone usage and addiction among final-year medical faculty students 对医学院毕业班学生智能手机使用和成瘾的调查

The purpose of this study was to determine levels of smartphone addiction among final-year medical faculty students. One hundred eighty students participated in this cross-sectional study. The Smartphone Addiction Scale was used to evaluate smartphone addiction levels and participants’ sociodemographic characteristics. Descriptive statistics and the chi-square Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests were applied. The mean addiction score was significantly higher in women than in men (p≤0.05). The students in the study mainly (71.1%) used smartphones to access the internet. Total addiction levels were significantly higher among participants who checked their phones immediately upon waking (p<0.05). Studies of smartphone addiction are insufficient, and different results may be yielded by studies on the subject from different universities.

Adolescents face various challenges and changes in order to realize their developmental tasks. The challenges are coupled with the technological disruption that requires adolescents to face new problems that have never existed before as millennials. However, the problems experienced by adolescents are often not expressed because of various obstacles, such as reluctance to tell spontaneously to the adults around them, high social conformity, so it is difficult to find help. For this reason, an alternative assessment is needed, which serves as an effort to map the problems experienced by adolescents and their mental health conditions accurately and actually. This study aims to find the value of the construct validity that forms the ZIPC to be used more widely and measure the actual problem conditions of the assessment subject. Participants involved in this study were 978 high school adolescents from all over Indonesia. The analysis used in finding the construct validity of this instrument is Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The impact of changes and instrument conditions after analysis will be discussed.

The Differences in Body Image in terms of Gender, Cultural Background, and Students Admission Path 性别、文化背景和录取途径对身体形象的影响

As a part of physiological needs, human physical appearance is considered an essential part of people's lives. That integral part determines the formation of body image in the community. Body image is a mental picture of the body state. The development of student body image is not well-formed, so that it affects their life. In the lecture process, students tend to be inactive and have low self-esteem, which impact student life. Some factors that affect the body image are gender, cultural background, and the admission way. This study aims to describe the body image in terms of gender, cultural background, student's admission way, and the group's interaction. This study used a descriptive comparative method with 600 samples—the data collection using Yuca Puji Body-Image Inventory (YPBI) and ANOVA as an analyzing tool. The result shows significant differences in body image in terms of gender, cultural background, and admission. The results of this research can prove that student can develop body image in a positive direction. This result of the study will be used as a basic concept to determine a body image module.

The Manjanguak Tradition: Social Learning, Character Education and Psychological Effects Manjanguak传统:社会学习、人格教育与心理效应

The "manjanguak" tradition is a series of funeral ceremonies held at the funeral home which is attended by family and relatives. The study of the manjanguak tradition is more concerned with the social values contained in it such as value of character education. This is because the manjanguak tradition is a tradition that exists in the human social realm that contains character education values. However, there has not been much discussion of its influence on the individual psychological aspects of this tradition. Humans are social creatures that are closely related to their environment. Humans who are detached from social ties will experience mental health problems such as low self-esteem and low self-control. Therefore, this article is a literature review that discusses all the dimensions contained in the manjangauak tradition. This article focuses not only on the social learning process and the values of character education, but also on the individual psychological effects of the manjanguak tradition.
