Being the world’s biggest consumer and importer of fossil fuel and the largest emitter of greenhouse gases the East Asia region is extremely interested in the accelerated development of energy transition. Due to the geographical position and place of East Asian countries in the international division of labour energy transition demonstrates specific features here. East Asia is not only the developer and producer of technologies and equipment for the energy transition but also an initiator of totally different international economic relations in new energy.

Labor migraton to European countries is analyzed through the prism of the region's demographic problems as well as of powerful immigraton wave that has generated contradictons between the EU's central migraton policy and the one pursued by separated European countries. On the example of historical documents from the Swiss Federal Archives in Bern, the author shows the contnuity of both the features of migraton trends and independent approaches to the development of internal migraton policy, in partcular by the Swiss authorites. As a fruitul element in the analysis of factors, immediate causes, consequences and the very labor actvity of non‑European immigrants, the author proposes to use variants of the deprivaton theory that have been tested for decades in many areas of socio‑psychological and economic research.

Since 1990-s India has attained in the global system of international division of labour a role of computer services and business processes outsourcing center. The paper shows the place of India in world exports of computer services. It characterizes the evolution of IT services sector, (including both computer services and business process outsourcing, actually called business process management, BPM), the role of transnationals and largest Indian companies that have also become TNCs. The focus is also on startups that become unicorns as their market capitalization exceeds 1 billion dollars. Some results of “Digital India” strategy are shown.

. The article analyzes the role of Japan in the East Asian center of the world economy. Japan is taking a range of issues, particularly in the economic sphere, that include the changing structure of the domestic and global economy, the rise of protectionism, and trade conflicts. The RCEP Agreement would not only further promote trade, and investment in the AsiaPacific region, where there has been remarkable growth, but it would also further strengthen relations with the countries in this region through building a new economic order, and thus has substantial strategic significance for sharing prosperity.

The article is devoted to the consideration of the changes that have taken place in relations between Russia and Turkey in 2022 in connection with the conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine. It is concluded that the relationship did not take on a negative character, on the contrary, Russia and Turkey have new areas for cooperation. However, the conflict of interest persists in almost all areas of relations between countries. At the same time, not all areas of cooperation can be developed in full (primarily because of the threat of sanctions against Turkish individuals and companies interacting with Russia). Currently, Russia is doubling its trade turnover with Turkey, is implementing the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant and is also planning the creation of an «international gas hub» in Turkey. From our point of view, the main threat to Russian interests comes from too close cooperation with Turkey in the economy. The implementation of the gas hub project will be able to partially compensate for the loss of Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2, but it is fraught with becoming dependent on Turkish policy on other issues, in particular, in the Middle East and the South Caucasus.

This article offers a discussion and analysis of nuclear doctrine of India and Pakistan and their significance for war, peace and stability in South Asia. The analysis nuclear doctrines of India and Pakistan is also given to show the challenges these states have faced in articulating and implementing a proper nuclear doctrine, and the implications of this for nuclear stability in the region We argue that both the Indian and Pakistani doctrines and postures are problematic from a regional security perspective because they are either ambiguous about how to address crucial deterrence related issues, and/or demonstrate a severe mismatch between the security problems and goals they are designed to deal with, and also the role of nuclear weapons in military and political strategy. Consequently, as both Indian and Pakistani nuclear doctrines and postures evolve, the risks of a spiraling nuclear arms race in the subcontinent are likely to increase without a reassessment of doctrinal issues in New Delhi and Islamabad. A case is made for more clarity and less ambition from both sides in reconsidering of their respective nuclear doctrines. However we believe the barriers in each of these countries can be overcome and there is likelihood of such changes being made in their respective nuclear doctrines at the ease with which they can be made greater in India than in Pakistan.

The artcle observes the reacton of the Republic of Korea to the Russian military special operaton in Ukraine at its inital stage and the reasons for the change in the policy of the South Korean authorites towards Russia. The author studies some military‑politcal and economic aspects of the changes in Russian‑South Korean relatons. The artcle analyses the statements of President Yoon Seok‑ yeol, elected on March 9, 2022, who already before his electon showed his traditonal commitment to the USA. South Korean researchers think that Kim Jong‑un may follow Russia's example in relaton to South Korea, therefore, in their opinion, the new president needs to head for strengthening the US‑South Korean alliance. In the meantme, South Korean authorites and businesses are facing serious consequences from the hasty decision to join the ant‑Russian sanctons initated by the US and the EU.
