This study investigates the link between perceived expertise, perceived risk, attitude, and purchase intention regarding a controversial halal cosmetic product. This study collected data from 128 Muslim participants who follow influencers discussing potential risks of a specific halal cosmetic brand on Instagram. A PLS-SEM approach was used to analyze the research model. This study revealed that perceived expertise and attitudes have a significant impact on the intention to purchase a controversial halal cosmetic. Interestingly, this study observed no significant connection between perceived risk and attitude or purchase intention. This suggests that when it comes to buying controversial halal cosmetics, consumers may not view perceived risk as a crucial factor. Instead, they seem to be more influenced by expert opinions. This study adds to the existing literature by exploring factors that influence the intention to purchase controversial halal cosmetics.

This study aims to understand the application of Islamic business ethics in employee layoffs during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method uses qualitative research methods. The data source is from the agenda of direct and indirect interviews with speakers selected by 10 participants: five entrepreneurs and five victims of layoffs. The finding shows that some business actors in Sukoharjo still need to understand the importance of instilling Islamic business ethics. This situation is proved by the discovery of ethical violations in doing business carried out by entrepreneurs, namely attaching importance to their business in the form of suddenly dismissing their employees, not giving severance pay to employees, being late in providing salaries, not being able to develop the business properly, and not instilling honesty. The violations committed by layoff victims are providing poor service, lack of expertise, and being undisciplined. This research should help future studies apply Islamic business ethics to layoffs. Islamic business principles protect entrepreneurs and layoff victims, allowing them to continue business during the pandemic and grow.

This study examines the direct influence of Islamic work ethic on employee performance. This study also investigates the role of job satisfaction as a mediation variable in the relationship between Islamic work ethic and employee performance variables. This study involved 69 respondents as samples that were determined using a data collection method, namely purposive sampling, and using a software, namely SmartPLS version 3.0, to employ partial least square (PLS). The empirical results of this study found that Islamic work ethic significantly influences employee performance. Meanwhile, job satisfaction can significantly mediate the relationship between Islamic work ethic and employee performance. Finally, this study discusses the implications, limitations, and further research.

According to all most all indications, the subject of Islamic entrepreneurship received little attention. The purpose of this study is to provide some light on the subject. The findings of this study will open up new chances for future academics, government officials, and commercial companies. This research constructed by Using a mix of critical appraisal of contemporary research and empirical analysis of academics' perspectives of Islamic entrepreneurship in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (K.S.A). The findings of a review of contemporary literature and survey analysis demonstrate that Islamic standards, viewpoints, practices, and so on, have a significant impact on entrepreneurship in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and elsewhere. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of agreeableness and openness to experience on innovation behavior through knowledge sharing. The population in this study were coffee shop workers in the city of Semarang which were estimated at 300 workers. The number of samples used 100 respondents with data collection using a questionnaire. The sampling method uses cluster random sampling. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis and Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The results revealed that agreeableness and openness to experience had a significant effect on knowledge sharing. Knowledge sharing positively influences innovation behavior and knowledge sharing can become an intervening variable (mediation) between agreeableness and openness to experience on innovation behavior.

Abstract The development of prenatal diagnosis technologies has created challenging ethical situations and raised complex ethical questions. The hardest among these is the question of whether to continue or terminate pregnancies due to fetal anomalies. This article examines the Islamic methodological approaches that are employed to resolve contemporary issues pertaining to prenatal diagnosis and termination of pregnancy due to fetal anomaly. The objective is, firstly, to understand on which basis the various Islamic views and perspectives have been constructed, and secondly, to assess the rules and principles that Muslim jurists apply to arrive at decisions regarding prenatal diagnosis and termination of pregnancy across the different schools of thought. This helps in identifying the methodological characteristics of contemporary Islamic discourse on prenatal diagnosis and termination of pregnancy, and recognizing existing gaps. This methodological analysis aspires to generate further and richer discussion on how to develop thorough ethical approaches to prenatal diagnosis and termination of pregnancy due to fetal anomaly with the aim of advancing antenatal care for Muslim patients. Key concepts and principles within Islamic theology, law, and ethics are explored.

The Islamic finance industry has only been dominated with Islamic banking, Takaful, Islamic capital, and the money market, although, the Islamic cooperative (I-Coop), which is a non-financial institution in most cases is yet to be fully adopted in the contemporary Muslim societies. The Islamic cooperative can be a development reform tool or a social and economic growth method, it can be used to offer interest-free loans and to cover specific demands in rural and urban settings. The main purpose of this study is to investigate Islamic cooperative operations in some OIC countries. This study adopted the content analysis method by reviewing literature as the evidence to demonstrate and provide insights into various critical factors that have prompted the establishment of Islamic cooperatives in some OIC countries. Samples of literature for OIC countries were found and examined. Three I-Coop membercountries were given focus to (Malaysia, Indonesia, and Nigeria). The findings show that Islamic cooperatives only exist in few OIC countries. It was found that the OIC countries have emphasised more on operating Islamic banking rather than Islamic cooperatives. It was also noticed that the lack of the well-regulated Islamic cooperatives in these countries is due to lack of the government support to established it. However, in Nigeria, the Islamic cooperative is considered new, but the study found various types of Islamic cooperatives already operating there. Lastly, based on the experiences of the Islamic cooperatives in the selected countries, the study suggested creating more awareness, promotions, and guidelines most especially within the OIC countries.

The digital banking services which consist of internet banking and mobile banking have occupied an important role in the financial sector. Despite the importance of digital banking, Islamic banks in Indonesia have encountered issues with the adoption of digital banking such as budget constraints as well as sizable investment. Therefore, it is important to examine how to prioritize the selection of digital banking services in Islamic banking. This study aims to propose a model for prioritizing the selection of digital banking services in Islamic banking by applying document research through analyze way the paper or journals and other published sources concerning with the digital banking and product development in Islamic banking. While most of the studies conducted in the conventional banking, in this study the proposed model is built to address the Islamic banking. The proposed model comprisessix criteria and six alternatives of services that should be considered in the selection of digital banking services from Islamic banks perspective. The proposed model involves general criteria that presence in the general banking context (conventional banking or Islamic banking) and specification criteria which only presence in the Islamic banking namely Sharia (Al-Syari’ah). Therefore, the proposed model has characterized the model utilized for the Islamic Bank in prioritizing the services in digital banking.
