Limited face-to-face is a newly used learning system in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. The need for adaptation for the application of this model, it is said, is limited because it is limited by new habits with the implementation of health protocols, short learning time, and restrictions on student activities. The adaptation process, one of which is the use of learning media used during learning. The Quizizz application is one of the alternative media that can be used when the system is in the network or directly, because of its flexible nature. Media Quizizz is a tool that can help students and teachers in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to find out the Quizizz application used in Islamic Education (PAI) learning at SMP Negeri 7 Purwokerto Indonesia with a limited face-to-face system. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection is carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. The description of the research results was analyzed using Miles and Huberman's model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The author's initial steps formulate the problem. Then collect the necessary data. Next, the researcher analyzed the results of the study. In this study, the authors found that the Quizizz application was used in Islamic Education (PAI) learning as a learning medium. This application becomes a new online-based media that is very flexible and easy to use. The Quizizz application can be used by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers for student learning evaluation, which can be done in the classroom or used as homework, and in online learning systems or limited face-to-face learning systems.

This study aims to determine the involvement of teachers in introducing beginning mathematics to early childhood. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection technique was carried out using structured interviews with research subjects involving 5 Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in the South Tangerang area who were selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study uses the concept of Miles and Huberman, namely data analysis, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the interviews were analyzed to find out the media, methods, constraints, solutions and children's responses to the introduction of early mathematics. The results obtained in this study indicate that teachers play an important role in introducing early childhood math classes which can be done in various ways according to the needs of each child. The introduction of early math concepts to early childhood involves teachers taking an important role in banning children from PAUD. The existence of use of learning media, methods and strategies that are very diverse so that teachers are expected to be able to help children introduce mathematics to early childhood.

Quantitative research competence is the main asset for students to be able to carry out quantitative research well and produce quality research results. One of the things that affect the quantitative research competence of a researcher is the mastery of applied statistics. This study aims to determine the effect of Applied Educational Statistics Courses on student competence in quantitative research. For this purpose, the researcher used a survey quantitative research method. The populations of this study were all students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) Master Program for the 2021-2022 Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta who took the Applied Education Statistics course. The sample was taken using the proportional random sampling technique using the Slovin formula, to obtain a total sample of 12 students. Data were collected using a technical questionnaire that had proven its validity and reliability and analyzed by regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the value of R2 (coefficient of determination) or R Square is 0.259 or 25.9%. This value can be interpreted that changes in student competence in quantitative research by changes in the value of the independent variable in statistics courses are 48, 54 % while 51,46 % is determined by changes in other factors. The calculated value for the Statistics course variable is 2, 203 with sig. 0.052 is smaller than 0.05. This shows that there is an influence of statistics courses on students' quantitative research competence and the factors that influence it.

This research aims to produce and determine the feasibility of quiz and educational game using Word Wall that are suitable for online learning of quadratic inequality, rational, and irrational for grade X. This research method is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research result is learning media in quiz and educational game using Word Wall for quadratic inequality, rational, and irrational material. The feasibility test of materials and media on quiz and educational game resulted in a percentage of 77% and 79,1% with a decent category. The attractiveness of quiz and educational game resulted in a percentage of 81% in the limited trial and 82,2% in the field trial, both of which were in the very interesting category. The results of the correlation test obtained a positive and significant correlation between student responses and student learning outcomes. The implication is that this development product can be used as a student learning tool, and it is recommended that teachers can develop Quiz and educational game using Word Wall on other materials.
本研究旨在利用Word Wall制作并确定适合x年级在线学习二次不等式、有理、无理性的测验和教育游戏的可行性。本研究方法为研究与开发(R&D),采用ADDIE模型(Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation)。本研究成果是利用Word Wall进行二次不等式、有理、无理性材料的测验和教育游戏中的学习媒介。测验和教育类游戏的材料和媒介的可行性测试结果分别为77%和79.1%,类别尚可。测验和教育游戏的吸引力在有限试验中占81%,在现场试验中占82.2%,都属于非常有趣的类别。相关检验结果显示,学生的反应与学生的学习成果呈显著正相关。言下之意是这个开发产品可以作为学生的学习工具,建议教师可以在其他材料上利用Word Wall开发Quiz和教育类游戏。

Various virtual learning environments have been implemented during the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Hybrid learning is a virtual learning environment in which half of the students attend the class physically while others join virtually. This model was adopted by students in two different universities in Central Java, namely Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) and State Islamic University of Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri (UIN Saizu) Purwokerto. The purpose of this study is to investigate the students’ perceptions of hybrid learning in two different universities as well as to find out the challenges during the implementation of hybrid learning. There were 88 participants taken as subjects from both universities. This study was a qualitative method that used observation and questionnaires to collect data from participants. The result shows that the students have positive perceptions during hybrid learning that could affect their performance. The positive perception was hybrid classes provided flexible time, upgraded technology mastery, and built social interaction with others. Moreover, this study also found some obstacles such as technical issues and students’ surroundings or environment that have been affecting their performance.

Pelanggaran nilai-nilai kemanusiaan masih banyak terjadi di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Sebagai bangsa yang meyakini agama, Indonesia perlu bercermin pada nilai-nilai agama yang mendorong manusia pada tata sosial ideal. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mewujudkan tata sosial ideal ialah melalui pendidikan. Salah satu aspek penting pendidikan nasional bertujuan membentuk manusia Indonesia yang berjiwa tauhid. Orientasi pendidikan nasional tersebut selaras dengan pengembangan keilmuan Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi yang mendorong pengembangan keilmuan yang berlandaskan tauhid. Menurut Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi di dalam konsep tauhid terkandung konsep kesatuan umat manusia yang mendorong manusia untuk saling menjunjung tinggi harkat martabat manusia. Untuk merealisasikan tujuan pendidikan nasional tersebut, pendidikan nasional memerlukan kurikulum yang berdimensikan nilai tauhid. Oleh sebab itu, Kurikulum Merdeka yang sedang masif dikampanyekan harus ditelaah dimensi tauhid yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep tauhid Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi dalam kurikulum merdeka untuk mendukung pencapaian tujuan pendidikan nasional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan. Metode pengumpulan datanya menggunakan metode dokumentasi dan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kurikulum merdeka memiliki relasi positif dengan pemikiran Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi berkaitan dengan pemikirannya tentang tauhid. Relasinya ditinjau berdasarkan spirit tauhid yang terdapat dalam profil Pelajar Pancasila dan konsep merdeka belajar. Tauhid dipahami sebagai nilai utama yang menjadi nilai universal. Artinya, nilai tauhid berimplikasi pada semua elemen kehidupan. Sedangkan merdeka belajar dapat dipahami sebagai peluang bagi pendidik untuk melakukan pengajaran penguatan iman.

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the Problem Based Learning model in science subjects VII MTS Nurul Islam Sekarbela, Mataram. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent control group design. The population of class VII students are four classes, two female classes, namely VII A and B and two male classes, namely VII C and D, with a total of 120 students. The research sample is class A and B with a cluster random sampling technique by drawing lots to determine the experimental and control classes. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and tests. The test instrument has been tested for the validity of 10 questions, the value of r count (0.383-0.646) > r table (0.381) and reliability of 0.570 with a reliable category. There are two data analysis techniques, namely descriptive, which consists of the analysis of the implementation of learning and critical thinking skills, and differential techniques consisting of normality testing, homogeneity testing and hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the Anacova test (Analysis of Covariance) with a significance level of = 0.05 with test criteria. If the value of sig < 0.05, then H0 is rejected, whereas if the sig value > 0.05, then H0 is accepted. The data from the hypothesis test results show that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So this study concludes that there is an effect of problem-based learning on students' critical thinking skills in science.
{"title":"Encouraging Students' Science Critical Thinking Skills Through a Problem-Based Learning Model","authors":"Neneng Agustiningsih, Nofita Wabadi Yaningsi, Muhammad Harja Effendi","doi":"10.24090/insania.v27i2.6731","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24090/insania.v27i2.6731","url":null,"abstract":"This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the Problem Based Learning model in science subjects VII MTS Nurul Islam Sekarbela, Mataram. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent control group design. The population of class VII students are four classes, two female classes, namely VII A and B and two male classes, namely VII C and D, with a total of 120 students. The research sample is class A and B with a cluster random sampling technique by drawing lots to determine the experimental and control classes. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and tests. The test instrument has been tested for the validity of 10 questions, the value of r count (0.383-0.646) > r table (0.381) and reliability of 0.570 with a reliable category. There are two data analysis techniques, namely descriptive, which consists of the analysis of the implementation of learning and critical thinking skills, and differential techniques consisting of normality testing, homogeneity testing and hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the Anacova test (Analysis of Covariance) with a significance level of = 0.05 with test criteria. If the value of sig < 0.05, then H0 is rejected, whereas if the sig value > 0.05, then H0 is accepted. The data from the hypothesis test results show that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Pendidikan di era digital dicirikan dengan cepatnya alur pertukaran informasisebagai akibat dari integrasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) di dalam proses pendidikan tersebut. Di era digital asesmen pembelajaran pun dilaksanakan berbantuanTIK sehingga dikenal istilah asesmen online. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitiankepustakaan yang menggunakan metode systematic literature review (SLR) yang terdiridari 6 tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pencarian literatur, penilaian kriteria (inklusi dan eksklusi), penilaian kualitas, pengumpulan data, dan analisis data. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengetahui alasan diterapkannya asesmen online, mengetahui jenis asesmen online, dan mengetahui kelebihan dari diterapkannya asesmen online. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa di Indonesia pandemi Covid-19 dan perkembangan TIK menjadipemicu diterapkan asesmen online. Terdapat berbagai jenis asesmen online yang diterapkan oleh guru, mulai dari asesmen untuk menguji pengetahuan menggunakanberbagai aplikasi seperti Quizizz dan Google Form hingga asesmen untuk keterampilansikap seperti self assessment yang dilakukan secara online. Salah satu kelebihan daripelaksanaan asesmen online adalah kemampuannya dalam memberikan umpan balikdengan cepat yang mana hal ini sangat sesuai dengan karakteristik pendidikan pada era digital.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran pada masa pandemi melalui metode blended learning yang diterapkan di SD Muhammadiyah Prambanan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualititatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Peneliti melakukan wawancara kepada beberapa guru terkait pelaksanaan penerapan blended learning di masa pandemi untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran. Adapun hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut: (1) Sekolah menggunakan berbagai platform pembelajaran seperti: Zoom Meeting, WA, video, Youtube, Google Form, Google Classroom, Quizizz, dan modul buatan guru; (2) Dalam rangka meningkatkan komunikasi dengan orang tua, sekolah memprogramkan kegiatan home visit guna mengindentifikasi dan memberikan solusi permasalahan PJJ; (3) Dalam pemantauan keterlaksanaan pendidikan karakter, siswa mengisi buku “Tabungan Kebaikanku” yang terpantau setiap hari; (4) Penerapan blended learning mempunyai kelebihan bahwa penyampaian materi bisa tetap berjalan sehingga bisa mengurangi learning loss selama masa pandemi, siswa tidak bosan dalam belajar, dan mendorong guru selalu meningkatkan kompetensi teknologi; (5) Kendala yang dihadapi sekolah dalam penerapan blended learning adalah tingkat partisipasi siswa, keterjangkauan akses internet, dan fasilitas alat elektronik yang dimiliki; (6) Solusi yang dilakukan sekolah dalam mengatasi kendala adalah melakukan komunikasi intensif dengan orang tua dan melaksanakan kegiatan home visit, memberikan subsidi kuota kepada siswa, pembuatan modul oleh guru; (7) Penerapan blended learning memberikan dampak positif terhadap siswa yaitu tidak bosan karena berbagai variasi metode pembelajaran, dapat belajar mandiri melalui berbagai aplikasi online dan modul pembelajaran, serta meningkatkan keterampilan literasi digital.

Providing educational programs provides specific opportunities for better student progress. MTs Negeri 1 Boyolali offers two kinds of programs that can be chosen according to the wishes, abilities, and goals. The two programs are the regular class program and the special class program. These two programs can highlight their technology usage and English learning achievement, considering they come from different programs. Therefore, this study aims to find out whether there are differences in English learning achievement or not between the two programs. This study uses ,a mixed method; statistically collecting and analyzing the students' final semester tests results, and interviewing the teacher and students to clarify some data. Besides, an additional intervies investigates further technology usage during English learning. The data shows differences in English learning achievement and technology usage between students from regular and special class programs. The research is expected to be limited to find the differences between the two classes and to contribute ideas to all related education implementers. Ultimately, regular class students will have English skills that are not much different from students in special classes.
