The global shortage of qualified nurse managers, particularly evident in the Philippines, is rooted in the absence of training programs for transitioning nurses into management roles. Recent studies highlight this gap, leading to the promotion of inexperienced nurses to leadership positions and resulting in ineffective management practices and compromised care quality. Recognizing the importance of sustainable leadership competency for the long-term viability of healthcare services, a study in Metro Manila seeks to address these issues. The research focuses on gathering insights from nursing business experts regarding essential skills for sustainable leadership among young nursing business managers. The study aims to not only explore these perspectives but also assess the competency levels of young nurse managers using a newly developed survey tool. The objectives encompass determining expert views on necessary skills, profiling participants based on demographic factors, assessing competency levels, and drawing recommendations from the mixed-methods study results. Employing a mixed-method approach, the study initially conducted interviews with nursing business leaders in Manila. The themes derived from these interviews were then utilized in formulating the questionnaire. The findings revealed demographic variations among participants, influencing their responses. Five major themes emerged, reflecting participant perspectives on the competency of young nurse business managers: professional conduct, educational competency, individual assessment, trans-cultural competency, and informatics tech competency. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the diverse skills and competencies required by young nurse business leaders for effective functioning in occupational and professional settings. These competencies, spanning professional conduct, individual assessment, cultural competence, and technological proficiency, are deemed critical components in assessing and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of young nursing leaders, as emphasized in the existing literature. The study underscores the imperative for comprehensive training programs to enhance the competency of young nursing leaders, contributing to the overall quality and sustainability of healthcare services. School heads’ unique and different leadership styles have an impact on the performance of their teachers, students, and schools in general (Ahamed, 2020). This study explored the effect of three leadership styles of school heads which are transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire, on the performance of beginning teachers. There are fifty-three (53) beginning teachers from the Schools Division of the City of San Jose del Monte who identified the leadership styles of their school heads and were assessed in terms of their performance as reflected on their Individual Performance and Commitment Rating Form (IPCRF). Results showed that there is a low positive correlation between school head’s leadership styles and beginning teachers’ performance. Furthermore, the study showed that among the three leadership styles, only the transactional leadership style has a significant effect on beginning teachers’ performance. The difference in results may be due to the number of years of beginning teachers in their respective schools and that there is still no strong relationship formed between leaders and teachers. Thus, beginning teachers only rely on certain rewards and punishments based on their work performance (transactional) rather than because of the relational influence of the leaders (transformational). The restricted movements during the COVID-19 pandemic have created challenges for people who use drugs (PWUDs) to access and complete community-based drug rehabilitation program (CBDRP) social services. This study aims to investigate the experiences of PWUDs undergoing CBDRP in Palawan, Philippines during disruptive times such as the COVID-19 pandemic with a focus on the changes in the social service support mechanisms enabling PWUDs to continue in their recovery. 188 PWUDs undergoing CBDRP in the 11 municipalities of Palawan participated in focus group discussions between July to December 2022. Participants were asked about the effects of the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic such as social isolation; modification in the CBDRP social services delivery and accessibility; shifting focus of the CBDRP in-charge officers; and changing family dynamics. Transcripts were analyzed using thematic analysis and it revealed four themes: (1) Experiences of PWUDs on CBDRP social services support mechanisms as against as planned; (2) Challenges in completing CBDRP; (3) Leadership initiatives observed by PWUD; and (4) Role of local groups and PWUDs’ family in the recovery of PWUDs during COVID 19 pandemic. The study demonstrates a need for a holistic care approach with psychosocial needs support services; enhanced family and community engagement; sustainable livelihoods programs; digital transformation and digital engagement; and capacitating the social service providers particularly those at the barangay level and local groups as vital factors for better CBDRP delivery. Further, the study exposed the necessity for data-driven and context-specific policies flexible and agile enough to enable better social services delivery, community participation, and effective implementation. The paradigm shifts in the financial sector, driven by technological innovations, pose a challenge for both management and consumers in understanding new financial landscapes. In this context, financial literacy becomes crucial for making informed personal finance decisions, suggesting that individuals with greater financial knowledge are better equipped to make sound financial choices. Additionally, the ability to save is vital for protection against future needs and unexpected financial challenges. Despite recurrent examination of various financial aspects, the connections between saving capacity and saving behavior, as well as between financial literacy and saving behavior, remain under-explored in local contexts. This study, grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and employing a correlational research design, aims to investigate these relationships among public employees in the municipal government of Hermosa, Bataan. Utilizing purposive sampling, 195 participants aged between 23 to 61 were recruited. Data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire distributed via pen and paper. The results indicate that financial literacy moderately influences saving behavior while saving capacity has a significant and positive impact. This highlights that individuals with higher saving capacities tend to demonstrate better-saving behaviors. It also reveals that while financial literacy moderately affects saving behavior among the participants, saving capacity plays a more crucial role, emphasizing the importance of enhancing financial knowledge and saving abilities in fostering positive financial behaviors. The primary objective of the research was to assess the fundamental proficiency levels in utilizing technology among teachers from District I-C Elementary Schools within the Division of Antipolo City during the academic year 2022 – 2023. The study encompassed a sample size of one hundred seventy-seven (177) elementary educators. These participants were characterized based on factors such as age, gender, marital status, job title, educational attainment, years of service, and their exposure to ICT-related training. To ascertain the basic knowledge and skills concerning computer utilization, a combination of a questionnaire checklist and direct observations by the researcher were employed. This approach facilitated the evaluation of both the perceived efficacy and the actual performance of the participants. The study’s findings revealed that a predominant portion of the respondents were married and situated within the age range of 31 to 45 years. A notable proportion held the position of Teacher I and had accumulated a working tenure of 16 to 20 years at their respective schools. Within the educator cohort, approximately 59.3% possessed qualifications at the master’s degree level, whereas none had attained a doctoral degree. The elementary teachers’ fundamental knowledge and skills in using computers within District I-C Elementary Schools were evaluated across various dimensions, including basic computer operation, word processing, electronic worksheet utilization, computer-based presentation, communication and research, and instructional technologies. The assessment indicated that the teachers’ proficiency in these areas was classified as “Competent” in both their perceived efficacy and actual performance. The examination of the significant difference in knowledge and skills related to computer usage, as perceived by the respondents and their actual performance across the identified dimensions or areas led to the rejection of the null hypothesis. In light of the obtained findings and conclusions, several recommendations emerge. Firstly, it is suggested that teachers actively participate in a higher number of seminars and training sessions focused on ICT utilization. Such engagements would facilitate the deeper integration of ICT tools into the teaching-learning process along mathematics in teaching elementary grades, enhancing overall instructional effectiveness. Moreover, it is worthwhile to explore further research endeavors that encompass different variables. Conducting parallel studies that incorporate various aspects or factors could provide a more comprehensive understanding of the complex relationship between teachers, ICT utilization, and effective teaching practices. Digitization, technology, and scientific education are strong educational reform drivers. Modern educational institutions use computers and the Internet for all their activities. It’s everywhere now. Thus, digitally printed science intervention material is crucial in schools and society. Today, digitalized printed materials are the main teaching and learning channel. The Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) uses extracurricular activities to help students who struggle in science, technology, and other subjects. Educators, administrators, and curriculum planners use digitally enhanced printed materials and multimedia instructions to develop every aspect of teaching and learning. This study assessed the validity and acceptability of the Digitized Printed Strategic Intervention Material (DPSIM) in teaching Science as expected against evaluation. The respondents of the study were one (1) Technology Expert, five (5) Science Administrators, and one hundred (100) Science teachers who were described in terms of position, educational attainment, training attended in ICT, teaching experiences, and the ability to handle ICT. The validity is assessed in terms of content, manner of presentation, language and style, and evaluative tools. Acceptability is assessed in terms of clarity, usefulness, suitability, adequacy, and timeliness. Various resources such as books, published studies on the net, and other materials were gathered in the construction of the research questionnaire. Descriptive Statistics such as Mean and Frequency, T-test, and ANOVA were utilized to test the statistical significance of the variables presented. Results revealed that there is no significant difference in the assessment of the two groups (expected and evaluated responses) of respondents on the validity of the Digitized Printed Strategic Intervention Material (DPSIM), but there is a significant difference in the assessment of respondents in terms of acceptability of DPSIM. When respondents were grouped according to their profile in terms of position, educational attainment, training attended in Information Communication Technology (ICT), teaching experience, and the ability to handle ICT in Teaching, it was identified that differences in the responses for validity were brought about by the respondent’s difference in ICT training attended and their ability to handle ICT in teaching. The validity of DPSIM is perceived to be a high extent, with Application, Method of Presentation, Language and Style, and Evaluative Tools as the criteria that need further improvement. For the acceptability of DPSIM, there is a significant difference in the responses when grouped according to profile. However, it is worth noting that overall, no criteria were perceived to be needing improvement. Acceptability has also been categorized to a very high extent. It concluded that the Digitized Printed Strategic Intervention Material (DPSIM) is an effective tool in teaching Science. The study included tha
