Bahasa Ceindan merupakan slang yang berasal dari Kota Samarinda. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menjelaskan proses perubahan bentuk slang Ceindan yang terdiri dari dua suku kata. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa pengisian kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan kalimat. Data yang dianalisis adalah kata dalam bahasa Ceindan yang terdiri dari dua suku kata dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut. 1) Mereduksi kalimat dengan memilah jumlah suku kata yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing kata, 2) Mengklasifikasikan dan menyajikan kata berdasarkan alofon yang dimiliki suku kata pertama, 3) Menarik kesimpulan proses perubahan bentuk yang terjadi. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis data disajikan menggunakan metode informal dan formal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kosakata yang terdiri dari dua suku kata dengan suku kata pertama yang memiliki alofon [a], [o], [¿], [e], atau [«] mendapatkan penambahan fonem /i/, sedangkan suku kata pertama yang memiliki alofon [i], [ə], [u], atau [¬] mendapatkan penambahan fonem /e/. Penambahan fonem tersebut diletakkan di awal suku kata pertama. Sementara itu, kosakata dengan suku kata pertama yang terbuka akan mengalami pelesapan sebagian suku kata kedua, sedangkan suku kata pertama yang tertutup akan mengalami pelesapan suku kata kedua secara utuh.

To maintain cultural conformity and moral standards and ensure the target language can receive the message. Translators often use translation strategies that replace or disguise taboo words with more neutral and polite expressions to express the same message. Therefore, this study attempts to identify translation strategies and the implications of using those strategies. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with the data source "Big Little Lies series", taken from the HBO website and translated by Dhani as a free translator. The data is taken only for taboo words that have euphemism meanings in the target language. From the 145 data collected, Mona Baker's 5 strategies were found, namely (1) Omission translation strategy with many as 50 data, (2) Less expressive translation strategy with many as 38 data, (3) Paraphrase translation strategy with related words with many as 29 data, (4) There 23 data are borrowing translation strategies, and (5) 14 data that uses translation strategies using more common words. Using those strategies has implications for reducing the emotional value of the source language, saving the esteem of the viewer, and smoothing the use of taboo words so that their usage can be accepted in the target language's culture.

This research discusses the great turmoil that occurred in October 2022 in the education environment of Samarinda City regarding the issue of removing teacher incentives. Thousands of teachers carried out demonstrations using written language contained in slogans. Slogans were used to protest against the circular letter from the Mayor of Samarinda concerning the alignment of incentives for teachers and education personnel. Critical discourse analysis was conducted to understand the meaning of the written language in the demonstration's slogan. Observation techniques, unstructured interviews, and photo documentation were also used as supporting methods in data collection. The research uses Norman Fairclough's three-dimensional analysis, which uses three main dimensions: the text, discourse, and social practice. This three-dimensional analysis can provide a more comprehensive and critical understanding of slogan language in a broader social, political, and cultural context. It can help reveal the power, meaning, and social implications of slogans and understand how slogans influence action and change in society.

The research aims to describe (1) the main character's adaptation to orang rimba culture; (2) the main character's steps in providing education to the orang rimba in the "Sokola Rimba" novel. This qualitative research uses the theory of Literary Anthropology and Pedagogy. The data source is Butet Manurung's "Sokola Rimba". The data is in the form of story units containing pedagogical literary anthropology elements. Data collection techniques include reading the object of study accompanied by reading theory, making research indicators and data capture tables, and grouping data into data capture tables. The data analysis technique begins with reducing inappropriate data, describing and interpreting the data, and finally concluding the research results. The results of this study are (1) the adaptation carried out by the main character is understanding the local wisdom of the orang rimba, which includes the orang rimba considering the honey tree as a tree of life, the orang rimba believing in natural signs, the orang rimba having skills in obtaining food and saving themselves, and the naming of places by orang rimba; (2) the main character's steps in providing education to the orang rimba include teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, and communicating while maintaining local wisdom.

This study aims to know the perspective of Gen Z in understanding the discourse contained in social media. The perspective means the ability to change Gen z’s perspective in understanding the text on social media, the ability to see points of view, focus on a developing issue, and describe how to take action after understanding a discourse. The research method used the quantitative method. Respondents of this research are Gen Z, who are active in youth organizations. Data collection techniques are observation and questionnaire. The results showed that Gen Z had detected a discourse that contains partiality to certain interests by providing a different perspective. It can be seen in the positive response on the average instrument (mean) above 53%; able to provide a more neutral point of view with the number of positive responses on the average instrument above (mean) 51%; able to see a developing issue in a discourse that has a tendency from the author with a positive response above 56%; and able to take action from the discourse that has been read with an average positive response above 59%.

The Pamona tribe's traditional marriage ceremony, called mangawianaka ada mporongo malulu ada pamona (performing a marriage that follows Pamona customs), is led directly by the customary chief and the Pamona tribal customary council. The Pamona tribe's traditional marriage ceremony consists of several requirements that must be prepared and fulfilled by both parties of the prospective bride and groom to get goodness in the future. This research aims to reveal the educational values of the Pamona tribe's marriage customs from the perspective of the Sociology of Literature. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach method that describes or paints symptoms and facts systematically. The data collection technique used listening to recordings of informant interviews, field notes, and other literature sources. Based on the results of the research, the educational values contained in the expression of the Pamona tribe's traditional marriage consist of (1) religious values, (2) moral values, (3) social values (4) and cultural values. The educational values revealed in the Pamona tribe's traditional marriage are not only in the form of educational values but also represent social values in the Pamona tribe community.

This research focuses on analyzing the form of prophetic ethics in the folktale “Si Kannik Barrau Sanipa.” This research aims to describe the form of prophetic ethics in the folktale. The forms of prophetic ethics include humanism, liberation, and transcendence. The folktale “Si Kannik Barrau Sanipa” studied is a story transcribed into a book entitled “Cerita Rakyat Paser dan Berau.” The folktale “Si Kannik Barrau Sanipa” is one of the folktales originating from Berau Regency, East Kalimantan. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data were obtained using reading and note-taking techniques. The theory used in the research is the prophetic literature study initiated by Kuntowijoyo. The research results found three forms of prophetic ethics: humanism, liberation, and transcendence, in the folklore “Si Kannik Barrau Sanipa.” The discovery of the form of prophetic ethics in folklore originating from Berau Regency, namely “Si Kannik Barrau Sanipa,” is one indicator to show that folklore is feasible or can be used as an educational medium to instill character in the younger generation, especially Islamic values based on prophetic ethics.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of character-based creative literature learning in developing student character which includes attitudes, behavior, and personality. The research method used was a quasi-experimental involving 250 high school students. The sample was selected using random sampling technique. The findings show that learning character-based creative literature makes a positive contribution to the development of student character, which includes attitudes, behavior, and student personality. The effect of learning literature on student character produces t values at the posttest stage for each aspect of attitude, behavior, and personality (4.452, 3.683, and 4.579) and p values less than 0.05. In addition, the effect size of character-based literary learning on character development is 5.80 which has a significant influence. So, it can be concluded that teaching character-based creative literature has a significant positive influence on character development (attitudes, behavior, and personality) in high school students. The implication of this research is that literature can be used as an alternative in instilling character in students.

The findings show that learning character-based creative literature makes a positive contribution to the development of student character, which includes attitudes, behavior, and student personality. The effect of learning literature on student character produces t values at the posttest stage for each aspect of attitude, behavior, and personality (4.452, 3.683, and 4.579) and p values less than 0.05. In addition, the effect size of character-based literary learning on character development is 5.80 which has a significant influence. So, it can be concluded that teaching character-based creative literature has a significant positive influence on character development (attitudes, behavior, and personality) in high school students. Abstrak: Penelitian yang berjudul Alih Kode dan Interferensi Bahasa pada Penyuluh Pertanian di Desa Ngluyu, Kecamatan Ngluyu, Kabupaten Nganjuk ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berasal dari tuturan penyuluh pertanian di Desa Ngluyu, Kecamatan Ngluyu, Kabupaten Nganjuk ketika memberi penyuluhan kepada petani. Analisis data dilakukan melalui penyediaan data, reduksi, penyajian data, dan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) alih kode berwujud tingkat tutur antara lain dari bahasa Jawa Ngoko ke dalam bahasa Jawa Madya, serta dari tingkat tutur bahasa Jawa Madya ke bahasa Jawa Ngoko; 2) alih kode yang berwujud alih bahasa antara lain, alih bahasa dari bahasa Jawa ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dan alih bahasa dari bahasa Indonesia ke dalam bahasa Jawa; dan 3) interferensi antara lain, interferensi fonologis, morfologis, dan leksikal. The subject of this research is Mata dan Rahasia Pulau Gapi by Okky Madasari. I adopt green cultural criminology and narrative criminology to analyze how the writer describes environmental crime phenomena in her work as a medium for internalizing the value of conservation and character education for children’s readers. This study was designed using the children's literature research method and note-taking technique. The results of this study found that the novel contains two forms of environmental crimes, namely crimes against historical sites and crimes against wildlife. I also found that the author makes the representation of the character's resistance to environmental crimes as a strong message to readers that children have a role as agents to encourage public awareness of environmental issues. In addition, moral licensing by the perpetrators of environmental crimes in this novel is the author's effort to cultivate a critical attitude in child readers.
