Background: The prevalence of high-fat diet consumption that triggered obesity is increasing in last 2 decades. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is associated by the increasing number of inflammation marker, Acute phase protein in blood serum. In type 2 diabetes mellitus, combination of lifestyle and genetic factors is the most influential factors. Due to that fact, person with First Degree Relative ( FDR) in type 2 diabetes mellitus has the higher risk to develop into type 2 diabetes mellitus. T cell is one of leucocyte that has a significance role in adaptive immune response.T cell polarization will show the profile of adaptive immune response in chronic inflammation Objective: This study is purposed to analyse how T cell polarized in First Degree Relative (FDR) subject in risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus with high fat diet treatment. Methods: 30 Non-FDR subjects and 30 FDR subjects who included in parameter inclusion were treated with 250 mL whipping cream per day in 5 days. Pre and post treatment blood collection were tested for blood profile and flowcytometry intraseluler staining. Results: BMI is significantly increasing in Non-FDR subject meanwhile Cholesterol and HDL are significantly increasing in FDR subject. There are no significant changes in T cell subset including Th1, Th2, Th17 and Treg. Conclusion: Short term high fat diet treatment in 5 days increased some metabolic profiles on both group but there are no significantly different changes in T cell polarization.

Background: Physical inactivity is one of the causes of non-communicable diseases and is a global public health problem. Numerous studies mentioned that teenagers spend their leisure time in engaging sedentary behavior and smartphone addiction is the primary cause of physical inactivity. Objective: This narrative review aims to review the association between smartphone addiction and physical inactivity among adolescents, as well as some solutions that have been carried out to overcome this problem from previous studies. Methods: The search included electronic bibliographic databases from PubMed and Google Scholar, published from 2015-2021. In total, 8 cross-sectional studies met the inclusion criteria of this review. Results: Adolescents who reported being addicted to a smartphone are more likely to engage in sedentary behavior and be physically inactive. Mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, fear, and other mental depression mediated this association. Also, smartphone addiction can be reduced by increasing sports participation and involvement in physical activity among adolescents. Educational institutions and parents can use sports and recreational activities as intervention strategies to overcome smartphone addiction among the adolescent population. Conclusion: This study highlights the association between smartphone addiction and physical inactivity. Physical activity and sports participation may have the potential to prevent smartphone addiction among adolescents.

Background: The increase of cancer diagnosis in Indonesia needs special attention because cancer causes crisis not only in patient’s life but also to family caregivers. Studies depict that a family caregiver’s quality of life (QOL) influences patient’s. Therefore, it is necessary to pay special attention to the caregiver’s QOL to generate a holistic approach for cancer patients. Objective: This study aimed to portray family caregivers of cancer patients’ QOL and its associated factors. Methods: In this analytical crossectional study, 60 family caregivers of cancer patients were recruited. The Caregiver Quality of Life Index-Cancer (CQOLC) was used to assess the QOL of family caregivers and then analyzed using descriptive statistics and linear regression. Results: The mean age of the family caregiver was 40±13.67, and 53% were male. The mean score of CQOLC was 43.95 (±17.83). Age was negatively associated with CQOLC score (β= -3.389, p=.034) which meant positively associated with QOL whereas duration of caregiving (β= 2.167, p=.021), cancer stage (β= 1.299, p=.046), and burden of family caregiver (β= 1.292, p=.000) were positively associated with CQOLC score which meant negatively associated with QOL.Conclusion: The study found that the duration of caregiving, cancer stage, and burden were negatively associated with the QOL of the family caregiver. Nursing intervention such as caregiver assistant is needed to decrease the burden to family caregivers, especially when caring for cancer patients with advanced stages.
