pandemic changed the pattern of our higher education. All conventional face-to-face classes turn into online classes. This makes it difficult for practice-based courses to organize quality education, because these courses rely on laboratory facilities as a place to increase student competency. One of the practical courses in Dian Nuswantoro University S1 English Study Program is a translation course. This subject is often regarded as a vocational subject in the language field. Therefore, this article aims to find out the teaching procedures for translation courses during the Covid-19 pandemic and assess students' perceptions of the teaching of these courses. Using a qualitative paradigm, the authors used field observations and questionnaires to describe the teaching procedures for the translation course and determine students' perceptions of the learning process in the course. From documented field observations, the lecturer of the course uses Google Classroom's online learning tools to manage theoretical assignments, Google Meet for material discussion, and OmegaT for translation practice. Based on the teaching method of the lecturer, 80% of respondents stated that they did not like the online lecture mode because of the difficulties they experienced. Interestingly, the results of the questionnaire showed a positive perception of 90% on the use of OmegaT and Google Classroom. This can be a positive improvement for online lectures in this study program in the future.

This study aims to mapping the halal tourism destination using GIS blockchain based on PNPOLY. The Ripple Protocol Consensus Algorithm (RPCA) is used to develop the blockchain. In this experiment, the data from the surveyor are input using an application that connects to the transaction set node. Then, the transaction set nodes to send the data to the transaction proposal node. The transaction proposal nodes would then distribute data to each validation data of the connected nodes to execute smart contracts with the PNPOLY method because this method used to perform smart contracts in supervising the performance of surveyors in conducting data inputs and coordinates of tourist assets according to real conditions in the field. If the smart contract process is successful with a maximum error tolerance of 20% in other transaction proposals, then this node records the new chain to the general ledger. The result of this process is a mapping of the halal tourism destination in city of Surabaya.

In this research, a device with the capability to measure one’s walking pattern or gait will be made. Seven IMU (MPU6050-gyroscope and accelerometer) sensors will be used to satisfy the means of inertial measurement. Each sensor will be connected to an ESP32 micro-controller, which promotes wireless communication via Bluetooth or WiFi. ESP32 will be used to perform serial communication with IMU sensors in order to process data. The processed data within ESP32 will be sent via wireless communication to a local server facilitated with Raspberry Pi 3. A web-based interface will be designed within the local server to store and display data received. The data from the IMU sensors will be displayed as individual graphics. From these graphics, the four gait parameters, which are heelstrike (HS), foot-flat (FF), heel-off (HO), and toe-off (TO), will be obtained.

Chicken eggs are one of the foods that are widely consumed by humans. The quality of eggs will affect the nutritional quality of eggs. One method that can be used to determine the quality of the outer shell is the quality of the eggshell. This research proposes egg classification techniques based on eggshell images using the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classifier based on two feature extractions, namely the extraction of Hue Saturation Value (HSV) color features, and the Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM). The experiment was carried out using 100 egg images consisting of three classes, namely eggs of good quality, rotten, and defective. Of the 100 images used 21 images as testing images and the rest as training images. The test was conducted with parameter values k = 1.3, and 9 while the distance used for each k was 1.2, and 4. Based on the test results obtained the highest accuracy of 85.71%, where the parameter value k = 1; d = 2 and k = 1; d = 4.

Academic system is one of requirements in the academic process to make it easier to manage academic data, such as study plans, grades, and administration. MyITS Mobile is an information system that is accessed by a mobile that utilizes both Android and IOS operating systems. MyITS Mobile is often used by various academic parties such as students, lecturers, and teaching staff, as well as student trustees. In addition, system is run in several operating systems and software that have different characteristics. Therefore, it is necessary to guarantee maximum quality of portability of system. Portability quality assurance is measured by ISO / IEC 25010 quality standards with sub characteristics namely characteristics, namely Adaptability, Installability, Replaceability. This study aims to measure quality of portability on MyITS Mobile using ISO / IEC 25010 quality standards. By measuring the quality of portability using six metrics on three sub characteristics obtained a maximum calculation result of 1.0. It proves that the MyITS application can run well in a variety of environments, especially on the Android and IOS operating systems. However, although some features needed by each user have been running well, there are some features that have not been completed in the process. As a result, some features do not function and run properly in accordance with the design of MyITS mobile.

Digital data has developed very fast in the current era. Digital data has various forms, one of which is text data. There are a lot of text data source from many ways, such as review text data. Yelp is a local business directory and forum to review products, services, or places. We used Yelp’s review data to determine user’s sentiment or opinion about products, services, or places. Sentiment or opinion are classified into positive reviews, or negative reviews. The algorithms that used are Gaussian Naïve Bayes, Gaussian Naïve Bayes with AdaBoost, and K-NN. In this research review text data will be through a preprocessing and feature extraction stage. We used n-gram to extract the feature from the data with unigram, bigram and uni+bi-gram for indexing text. The result of this research that algorithms that has the highest accuracy rate was Gaussian Naïve Bayes with combined unigram and bigram with 86.7% from 5 fold cross-validation.

The development of the world of virtual reality (VR) is currently happening, but these developments can only be reached by some people because of the high cost of the technology. Therefore, in this study, we would like to make a cheap gyroscope-based VR controller (costs around 22 USD) that can be used by everyone who has an android smartphone. This study used ESP32 as a microcontroller and gestures are needed from the user’s hand in order to control the character. Moreover, VR controller communication with an android smartphone used WiFi where ESP32 acts as an access point and sends data in the form of JSON (JavaScript Object Nation) string through UDP (User Datagram Protocol) protocol. The filter process by using mahony filter on ESP32, the test results show a small response time of 33 ms, so that between the user’s hand movements and character movements do not occur delay. The current generated is quite large at 155.75 milliamps based on Wifi transmitted.

This research aims to analyze three patterns of embedding messages based on the Least Significant Bit (LSB) method on RGB color images. Previous research has suggested a pattern of LSB x-y-z embedding, where the value of x-y-z is 2-3-3 or 3-2-3 or 3-3-2, where the sum of the x-y-z value is 8-bits. The x value represents the number of message bits embedded on the red channel, y on the green channel, and z on the blue channel. Each research claims that the pattern has its advantages, especially to increase payload and imperceptibility. Because of this, a third method is used to compile the three methods using the same dataset, both the host image and the message. To increase the security of the message, encryption is performed using the RSA method before embedded. Stego image quality is measured by comparing it with the host image with four kinds of measuring tools, namely mean square error (MSE), peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), structural similarity index measurement (SSIM), and histogram analysis. The results showed that all methods were of good quality and identical. It's just that LSB 3-2-3 is slightly superior when measured based on MSE and PSNR values, but the average difference in value does not reach 0.1dB. Whereas based on measuring SSIM LSB 3-3-2 get the best results. Where the difference is not more than 0.001. While at the message extraction stage the value of the bit error ratio (BER) between the original message and the extracted message yields a value of 0, which indicates that all methods can extract the message perfectly.

Motorcycle is one of the many private transportation facilities that currently. Unfortunately motorcycles still use energy from fossil fuels which are increasingly rare and not environmentally friendly. So now many developed environmentally friendly electric vehicles from renewable sources. But the battery charging process is needed as energy storage. So this paper offers a flyback converter method that is controlled by fuzzy logic controller. In the battery charging process, the values of Vin, Iin, Vout, and Iout are monitored with an output voltage target of 14.4 V. The fuzzy logic controller can control the output voltage is 14.37 Vdc with error voltage 0.208%.

Unfortunately motorcycles still use energy from fossil fuels which are increasingly rare and not environmentally friendly. So now many developed environmentally friendly electric vehicles from renewable sources. But the battery charging process is needed as energy storage.
