The article attempts to establish new links between the philosophical and journalistic works of I. V. Kireevsky and F. M. Dostoevsky’s sociopolitical program of «soil science», which the writer de-veloped in the 1860s and 1870s in his novels and journalistic articles. The following hypothesis is put forward: the ideas of I. V. Kireevsky’s «visible and invisible» Church, the role of dogmas and autho-rities in the church life infl uenced the formation of the ideology of Ivan Karamazov’s poem «The Grand Inquisitor» in terms of the conflict between the authoritarian model of the Inquisitor and the ideal of «apostolic Orthodoxy» that reflects the main idea of the novel The Karamazov Brothers.

The article provides an analysis of the occasional iambs in A. S. Pushkin’s prose, describes their rhythm as related to the verse prosody and language models of verse meter. It is suggested that, in the prosaic verselike fragments, a more or less noticeable regular deviation from the rhythm of the language towards fullfledged verse may point to the influence of the verse prosody on the poet’s prose.

The article examines an obscure comedy by O. I. Senkovsky Fansu, or the Cheating Maid, which is a reworking of a play by а Chinese author Zheng Guang-tzu, Tchao-Mei’-Hiang (The Clever Confidante), published in the French translation in 1835. The analysis is focused on the literary and polemical plot of the work, introduced by Senkovsky into the source text. The article offers additional arguments in favor of the assumption made by V. A. Kaverin, that the prototypes of the two characters of the comedy, Phu-Lalin and Mi-Lashun, are F. V. Bulgarin and N. A. Polevoy, and suggests that this additional plot was based on an episode of plagiarism, with Bulgarin using fragments of A. S. Pushkin’s tragedy Boris Godunov in his novel Dimitri The Impostor (1829); the tragedy was written in 1825, but published only in 1830, while Bulgarin got access to the manuscript thanks to his connections at the Third Department.
V. Bulgarin和N. A. Polevoy,并指出这一额外的情节是基于抄袭的情节,Bulgarin在他的小说《骗子迪米特里》(Dimitri The Impostor, 1829)中使用了A. S.普希金的悲剧《鲍里斯·戈杜诺夫》的片段;这部悲剧写于1825年,但直到1830年才出版,而宝格林由于他在第三部门的关系才得以接触到手稿。

The article examines the specifics of F. Sologub’s work on his translations of the poems by P. Verlaine in the 1890s, as well as the influence of his translation practices on his original work. Using the translation of the poem Nevermore (collection Poèmes Saturniens) taken for the case study, it is shown how Sologub, while staying more or less true to the rhythm, phonics, vocabulary and imagery of the original, introduces certain changes in line with his aesthetic preferences.
