The result of research shows that Putu Wijaya has been done reformer in writing play drama, that is conventional form become inconventional form. The reformer that Putu Wijaya done in writing play drama can be identified 1) conventional plot commonly linear and intimate, while inconventional plot is random or loose; 2) conventional plot depend on the development of problem and conflict, while inconventional plot problem show and gone without solution; 3) conventional dialog drama is reformed from dialog to show individual character player become dialog that express group character; 4) conventional drama individu player express certain individu character, while inconventional drama player express certain group character; 5) conventional drama have explicit identity and show certain character, while inconventional player known as sociology and physiology identity; and 6) conventional player character so influence the beauty player structure, while inconventional player character the player can’t be growth following the plot.

Not all students are well motivated in the classroom activities. Some students often show disruptive behaviors that influence the teacher in conducting learning process. In particular case, there is special issue regarding behavioral problems in elementary school such as talking without permission and disturbing other friends while studying in class. Accordingly, this study aims at discerning behavior interruptions found in English teaching class. Moreover, it also describes the classification of students’ disruptive behaviors and explores teachers’ actions in order to overcome those behaviors. In this research, depth-interview with the English teacher, classroom observation and documentation were used to collect the data for two perceived classes and interactive model was used to analyze the data. Each class has been chosen based on specific characteristics for being observed. Though the study reported that there were several disruptive behaviors exhibited by primary school students, it could be classified as non-violence behavior since no one was injured by physical force. It seems possibly categorized as normal behavior by considering the students’ age and level in school. In the EFL context, students will be more focus and motivated if they are studying in comfortable class because students are required to master several skills of English. Comfortable class will lead them to comfortable learning. Henceforth, it was suggested that teacher should have adequate knowledge of the students’ psychology based on their age in order to give the proper strategies to control disruptive behaviors in the classroom.

Di dalam upacara tiwah ini terdapat banyak leksikon yang berhubungan dengan upacara adat kematian. Leksikon ini mempunyai hubungan erat dengan nilai-nilai adat budaya suku Dayak Ngaju Kalimantan Tengah. Penulis tertarik untuk membahas tentang leksikon dalam upacara tiwah karena leksikon upacara tiwah suku Dayak Ngaju memiliki kekhasan tersendiri sebagai salah satu kekayaan bahasa dan budaya nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengklasifikasikan dan mendeskripsikan leksikon upacara tiwah dari segi pelaksanaan dan peralatan yang digunakan dan mengungkap fungsi leksikon upacara tiwah sebagai salah satu kekayaan bahasa dan budaya nasional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui tiga tahap, yaitu pengumpulan data, analisis data, dan penyajian data. Leksikon dalam upacara kematian suku Dayak Ngaju diklasifikasikan menjadi dua, yaitu kegiatan dan peralatan. Leksikon upacara kematian suku Dayak Ngaju memiliki beberapa fungsi, yaitu sebagai cerminan adat budaya masyarakat Dayak Ngaju Kalimantan Tengah, identitas keagamaan dan spiritualitas Hindu Kaharingan, dan sebagai gambaran rasa kebersamaan dan gotong royong masyarakat Suku Dayak Ngaju.(Lexicons in Dayak Ngaju’s Death Ceremony (Tiwah) )There are many lexicons related to funeral ceremony of tiwah. These lexicons are closely linked with the values of the indigenous culture of Ngaju Dayak in Central Kalimantan. The writer was interested in discussing the lexicon in tiwah ceremony because it has its peculiarities as one of the language wealth and national culture. This study aims to classify and describe the lexicon of tiwah ceremony regarding the implementation and the equipment used and uncover the lexicon functions of the ceremony. The method used in the study is the descriptive qualitative method through three stages, they are data collection, data analysis, and data presentation. Lexicon in Ngaju Dayak funeral ceremony is classified into two; they are, activities and equipment. The first thing should be mastered by learners for learning a foreign language is vocabulary. Vocabulary is a foundation besides pronunciation and grammar for the learners. The result of the preliminary study at SMP Brawijaya Smart School for the seventh B students showed that the students had a problem in mastering vocabulary. It can be seen from the results of pre-test and interview with the English teacher. In this case, the researcher tried to increase their vocabulary by using song lyrics through the video clip. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on McTaggart’s theory which consisted of four stages in one cycle. They are planning, acting, observing and reflecting. This research was conducted in one cycle and consisted of three meetings to give the students’ treatment by using song lyrics through the video clip. The criteria of success were 70% of the seventh B students reached equal or more than 75 (minimum passing grade). For collecting the data, the researcher used the interview guide, observation sheet, observation checklist, field-notes, questionnaires, and test. The result of this research showed that the vocabulary of the students increased by using song lyrics through video clip as a media in teaching and learning. The percentage showed that 76,19% of students passed the criteria of success. Sixteen students got equal or more than 75 as the minimum passing grade. It can be concluded that the implementation of video clips was successful and effective to increase the students’ vocabulary.Penggunaan Lirik Lagu melalui Klip Video untuk Meningkatkan Penguasaan Kosakata Bahasa Inggris (Penelitian Tindak Kelas di SMP Brawijaya)Hal pertama yang harus dikuasai oleh pelajar untuk belajar bahasa asing adalah kosakata. Vocabulary is very important in the learning process, and students have to master it. Thus awareness and understanding of vocabulary learning strategies can increase students’ vocabulary. This study aims to reveal more and less common strategies used male and female students, the difference vocabulary learning strategy between students who studied English in their undergraduate level and those who did not. In conducting this research, the researcher used survey methodology. A questionnaire adapted from the taxonomy of vocabulary learning strategies developed by Schmitt was spread to sixteen first-year students. The most frequent strategy was “listen to English songs and news” and “using dictionary” as the most favoured strategy used by both male and female students who studied English and them who did not. From the results, it can be stated that be the students seem to enjoy learning English. Moreover, in order to increase vocabulary, both teacher and students must know about vocabulary learning strategies(Strategi Pembelajaran Kosakata yang Digunakan oleh Mahasiswa Baru S2 Linguistik Universitas Brawijaya)Kosakata sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran dan mahasiswa harus menguasainya. Kesadaran dan pemahaman akan strategi pembelajaran kosakata dapat meningkatkan kosakata mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi yang paling banyak dan paling sedikit digunakan oleh mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan, perbedaan penggunaan strategi belajar kosakata oleh mahasiwa baru pascasarjana ilmu linguistik yang belajar bahasa Inggris pada strata satu dan mahasiswa yang tidak belajar bahasa Inggris pada strata satu. Dalam melakukan penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode survei. Kuesioner yang diadopsi dari taksonomi strategi pembelajaran kosakata yang dikembangkan oleh Schmitt diberikan kepada enam belas mahasiswa baru. Strategi yang paling sering dilakukan adalah "listen to English song and news", dan "using dictionary" sebagai strategi yang paling disukai digunakan, baik oleh mahasiswa laki-laki maupun perempuan yang belajar bahasa Inggris pada strata satu dan mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan yang tidak belajar bahasa inggris pada strata satu. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat dinyatakan bahwa para mahasiswa tampaknya menikmati belajar bahasa Inggris. Selain itu, untuk meningkatkan kosakata, baik guru maupun siswa harus mengetahui strategi pembelajaran kosakata.

Dalam kerangka laras bahasa jurnalistik, artikel ini akan membahas bagaimana pemaknaan berita kriminal ditinjau dari bentuk atau konstruksi kalimat yang digunakan. Makna atau dampak apa yang didapatkan pembaca jika mencermati kalimat pasif pada sebuah berita kriminal akan menjadi inti masalah. Khalayak pembaca diharapkan mampu mengidentifikasi alasan apa yang digunakan wartawan dalam menyusun artikel berita kriminal. Makalah ini merupakan makalah deskriptif yang kualitatif. Data berupa contoh kalimat pasif diambil dari artikel berita kriminal yang dimuat di surat kabar lokal Palangka Raya, Kalteng Pos dan Tabengan. Analisis akan difokuskan pada unsur yang ditekankan atau dipentingkan dalam sebuah kalimat dan disinggungkan dengan pandangan analisis wacana kritis menurut Fowler dan van Leeuwen. Berdasarkan temuan, penekanan dan pemfokusan informasi merupakan dua alasan yang dipegang wartawan ketika memutuskan memilih kalimat pasif dalam menulis artikel berita. Peribahasa Sunda merupakan kumpulan kearifan lokal yang tersimpan rapi dalam bahasa, terutama berisi nasihat dan contoh pekerti yang baik. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini bertujuan membuktikan bahwa bahasa Sunda, melalui peribahasa, berperan penting dalam menyumbang kearifan bangsa. Penelitian ini berancangan kualitatif dengan data yang dikuantifikasi. Penelitiannya berupa penelitian lapangan. Lokasi penelitian berada di Kecamatan Luragung, Kabupaten Kuningan, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Data dikumpulkan dari dua belas pembahan yang berbahasa pertama Sunda dan berumur antara 13 tahun dan 47 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa informan muda jauh lebih sedikit menguasai peribahasa daripada informan dewasa. Semua informan menganggap penting untuk mengetahui peribahasa Sunda, tetapi disayangkan bahwa generasi muda kurang memiliki kesempatan untuk mempelajarinya dan antara lain juga terdesak oleh bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini berjudul “Kalimat Inversi dengan Subjek Kompleks dalam Bahasa Indonesia Ragam Jurnalistik”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengkaji konstruksi predikat dan konstruksi subjek pada kalimat inversi dengan subjek kompleks dan (2) mengkaji perubahan struktur dari predikat-subjek menjadi subjek-predikat pada kalimat inversi dengan subjek kompleks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam bahasa Indonesia ragam jurnalistik banyak ditemukan kalimat inversi dengan subjek kompleks. Bentuk verba yang menjadi predikat pada umumnya berupa verba pasif berawalan {ter-} atau {di-}. Konstituen pengisi predikatnya ada yang berupa kata, yakni verba saja, dan ada pula yang berupa verba + adverbia dan membentuk frasa verbal. Subjek kompleks berdasarkan konstruksinya dapat berupa frasa dan dapat pula berupa klausa. Perubahan struktur dari predikat-subjek menjadi subjek-predikat pada kalimat inversi dengan subjek kompleks pada umumnya bergantung pada konstituen pengisi predikat. The result of the research shows that sentences inversion with the complex subject is found frequently used in Journalistic Style-Indonesian Language. The form of verbs that become the predicate is generally a passive verb which beginning with {ter-} or {di-}. The constituents of predicate filler are found in the form of a word, which is verb only and also found in the form of verb + adverbs which forms verbal phrases. The complex subject based on the construction can be whether a phrase or a clause. The structural changes from predicate-subject to subject-predicate in inversion sentences with complex subjects generally depend on the constituents of predicate filler. If the predicate is only a verb, the reversal of the structure from predicate- subject to subject-predicate will form less common sentences. However, if the predicate form is verb + adverbial and creates a verbal phrase, the reversal of the structure from subject-predicate to subject-predicate will form a common sentence

Komunikasi massa di Indonesia berkembang pesat. Salah satu media massa yang paling diminati adalah televisi. Salah satu acara televisi yang paling diminati adalah program talk show. Tanggal 24 Agustus 2016 channel Youtube Metrotvnews memnyiarkan program Mata Najwa dengan mengangkat tema “Lelakon Antasari Azhar”. Tayangan ini dipicu karena terbitnya buku berjudul “Antasari Azhar: Saya dikorbankan” karangan Taufik Pram. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan metode analisis wacana dari Van Dijk yang memiliki tiga tahapan, namun peneliti hanya menggunakan satu tahapan karena fokus pada struktur teks dan bahasa. Penelitian ini menganalisis struktur teks atau bahasa dalam percakapan seputar talk show Mata Najwa “Lelakon Antsari Azhar” agar dapat diketahui ciri khas dari bahasa yang digunakan dalam program Mata Najwa. Dalam wacana “Lelakon Antasari Azhar” secara menyeluruh terdapat struktur makro, superstruktur serta struktur mikro dengan berbagai unsur - unsurnya. This descriptive qualitative study aims to investigate English student teachers’ perceptions of their readiness to take the internship regarding some aspects. The data were mainly collected through interviews. The interviewees were six students in the sixth semester of ELT program of the State University of Malang. The researcher recruited six student teachers with high, average, and low achievement based on their GPA. The data were analyzed descriptively according to three steps which consist of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research showed that the student teachers were still feeling not ready enough in some aspects. The first aspect is almost all of them had an issue with the duration of the internship that is too short. Second, not all the student teachers majoring English Language Teaching have a desire to be a teacher although teaching is the primary field of work that they have been prepared for throughout their university study. Third, another factor that makes them feel unready is anxiety. Fourth, from the content courses aspect, there was an issue with the seq uences of the courses that made student teachers confused in planning a lesson. Lastly, regarding skill courses, the respondents thought the courses are already adequate, and they already got good scores, but they stated that they still have some issues with it(Persepsi Mahasiswa KPL tentang Kesiapan Mereka untuk Menjalani KPL Keguruan)Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu kesiapan mahasiswa KPL Jurusan Sastra Inggris untuk menjalani KPL Keguruan di beberapa aspek. Data penelitian ini didapatkan melalui wawancara. Subjek yang diwawancai adalah enam mahasiswa semester enam dari Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Universitas Negeri Malang. Peneliti merekrut enam mahasiswa KPL dengan prestasi tinggi, sedang, dan rendah berdasarkan IPK. Data penelitian dianalisis berdasarkan tiga tahapan yang terdiri atas reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa KPL masih belum siap di beberapa aspek. Aspek pertama adalah hampir semua dari enam mahasiswa KPL memiliki pemikiran bahwa durasi dari KPL Keguruan terlalu singkat. Kedua, tidak semua mahasiswa KPL Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris memiliki minat untuk menjadi guru walaupun mengajar adalah peluang kerja yang dipersiapkan selama belajar di universitas. Ketiga, faktor lain yang membuat mereka tidak siap adalah kegelisahan. Keempat, dari aspek mata kuliah konten terdapat isu tentang urutan mata kuliah yang membuat mahasiswa KPL bingung tentang perencanaan pembelajaran.
