Corona E-Learning Cocktail : Sustainability of University Education in Times of Pandemics 科罗娜电子学习鸡尾酒:大流行病时期大学教育的可持续性

Pandemics like the Corona pandemic in 2020 influence massively the education at presence universities. Because the learning targets have to be achieved, alternative teaching methods are requested – at least temporarily. We present some approaches, which are successfully used at our university. These attempts can be combined to a "learning cocktail". We consider possible fields of applications of electronic teaching (and learning) and will discuss the respective advantages and disadvantages. Based on our positive observations, we propose new learning settings for the time after Corona, in which presence and online learning scenarios can be combined.

Research on WeChat Mini Program APP Service of Academic Social Network Application 学术社交网络应用微信小程序APP服务研究

This article is aimed at various academic social software or platforms. On the "WeChat Mini Programs Contact Cards", a multi-interface interconnected convenient platform is established to realize the construction of the professional "Moments of Academic" on the widest basis. "WeChat Mini Programs", "python", "MySQL" and other tools are used to complete the strategy construction and program design by comparing the China and other regions development status with the goal of a virtuous cycle of "achievements display-scholars update-platform growth".
本文针对的是各种学术社交软件或平台。在“微信小程序联系人卡”上,建立多界面互联的便捷平台,在最广泛的基础上实现专业“学术朋友圈”的建设。利用“微信小程序”、“python”、“MySQL”等工具,通过对比中国与其他地区的发展现状,以“成果展示-学者更新-平台成长”的良性循环为目标,完成战略构建和程序设计。

Exploration and Practice of the Teaching Pattern of Skill-oriented Courses in the Context of Online Home Schooling 网络家庭教育背景下技能型课程教学模式的探索与实践

The skill-oriented course is a combination of theory and practice. Due to the characteristics of many theoretical knowledge points and the need for a specific experimental environment on the computer, it is more urgent to explore the teaching pattern in the context of online home schooling due to the COVID-19 epidemic. This paper takes the "logistics information management" course based on ERP software as an example, and uses "virtual experimental environment + recorded video courseware + live broadcast + operational instruction video + classroom activities + homework" as an auxiliary to explore the teaching pattern of "Autonomous Learning, Cooperation, Guidance". The teaching pattern has been proved by practice to have good learning effect and high student satisfaction, which has certain referential significance for the teaching design of online home schooling of skill-oriented courses.
以技能为导向的课程是理论与实践相结合的。由于许多理论知识点的特点以及需要在计算机上进行特定的实验环境,因此由于新冠肺炎疫情,探索在线家庭教育背景下的教学模式更加迫切。本文以基于ERP软件的《物流信息管理》课程为例,以“虚拟实验环境+录制视频课件+直播+操作指导视频+课堂活动+作业”为辅助,探索“自主学习、合作、指导”的教学模式。实践证明,该教学模式具有良好的学习效果和较高的学生满意度,对技能类课程的在线家庭教育教学设计具有一定的参考意义。

Temporal Sentiment Analysis of Learners: Public Versus Private Social Media Communication Channels in a Women-in-Tech Conversion Course 学习者的时间情感分析:公共与私人社交媒体传播渠道在女性技术转换课程

Social media is ubiquitous, a continuous part of our daily lives; it offers new ways of communication. This is especially crucial in education, where various online systems make use of (perceived) public or private communication, as a means to support the learning process, often in real-time. However, not much research has been carried out in analysing and comparing such channels and the way participants use them. Thus, this paper analyses a course offering both public and private types of communication to its participants. Participants communicate via two social media channels (beyond traditional email etc.): Twitter (open to the public) and Microsoft Teams (for internal communication). In this paper, we specifically analyse the communication patterns of learners, focusing on the temporal analysis of their sentiments on the public versus the private platform. The comparison shows that, as possibly expected, there exist similarities between expressed sentiment in public and private channels. Interestingly however, the private platform is more likely to be used for negative utterances. It also shows that sentiment can be clearly connected to events in the course (e.g., the residentials increase both volume and positivity of comments). Finally, we propose new measures for sentiment analysis to better express the nature of change and speed of change of the sentiment in the two channels used by our learners during their learning process.

Precision Teaching Based on Data-driven Model 基于数据驱动模型的精准教学

This paper proposed an innovative data-driven approach DNN-based Precision Teaching Model (DNN-PTM) combining teaching strategies, teaching quality and learning effect with deep neural network techniques. We implement Deep Neural Network (DNN) to evaluate learning effect by analyzing teaching data. DNN-PTM aims to provide personalized and adaptive teaching with the characteristics of "precise teaching and student-centered learning". It focuses on developing the dynamic auto-tuning instructions to cater to learning preferences for each student not for the class. Moreover, DNN-PTM can establish a Personal Knowledge Map through three steps: (I) organizing data: to collect massive of explicit data (directly gathered in the process of teaching and learning) and implicit data (indirectly describes the quality of teaching and learning); (II) building model: to analyze the relationship among teaching behaviors, learning characteristics and education results; (III) Evaluating quality: to measure the quality of an optimal PT strategy predicted in (II) according to its positive effects on teaching and learning. Therefore, DNN-PTM has strong adaptability and intelligence because it can learn a best possible teaching decision which is suitable for the current learning situation from a large number of data.

Fast Parallel Extraction Method of Normalized Vegetation Index 归一化植被指数快速并行提取方法

At present, accelerated processing of remote sensing big data has become an important research topic in the field of remote sensing. Remote sensing image processing based on large-scale clusters currently is the mainstream. However, how to fully tap the computing power of a single computing node in the cluster has become issues that cannot be ignored in the field of remote sensing image processing. Traditional GPU programming is difficult to develop, the development cycle is long, and the requirements for developers are very high. In order to improve the efficiency of GPU programming and shorten the development cycle of parallel programs, Nvidia, Grary, PGI and CAPS jointly launched a new programming standard-OpenAcc. In this paper, OpenAcc-NDVI, as a fast parallel extraction method is used to optimize NDVI algorithm. Based on different computing scenarios, two granularity acceleration models are proposed. It has been verified by multiple experiments that when the data size reaches 10000 * 10000, OpenAcc-NDVI can achieve an acceleration of about 5.3 times. After error analysis, the error of algorithm experiment result is 0, there is no loss of precision. The NDVI algorithm based on OpenAcc has excellent acceleration performance, efficient development process, and high calculation accuracy.

Facial Expression Recognition Based on Sparse Autoencoder and Shallow Convolutional Neural Network 基于稀疏自编码器和浅卷积神经网络的面部表情识别

Facial expression recognition is an important research issue in the pattern recognition and accurate recognition is a great challenge, especially in real scenes. In this paper, we propose a method of facial expression recognition based on sparse autoencoder and shallow convolution neural network, which can effectively solve the problems of insufficient feature extraction of shallow convolution neural network and limited sample datasets. The experimental data adopts the ICML2013 facial expression recognition contest’s dataset (FER-2013) and this data is more difficult to identify. The images are preprocessed before the experiment and the key parts are selected as the input of the model. After these features are extracted many times, they are finally classified by softmax classifier. The experimental results indicate that the model performs well on the FER2013 dataset and the accuracy has been greatly improved compared with other methods.

With the increasing number of vehicles in the community, the parking spaces in the community are becoming shorter and shorter, which is aggravated by the random parking and inefficient use of parking resources by visitors. in order to better help the property management company of residential area manage temporary outside vehicle, put an end to unknown vehicles visiting, parking, occupy the owner parking space at random phenomenon, this paper designed a set of temporary vehicle parking management system in residential area based on community credit system, helps the property management company of residential area manage visitor and outside vehicle, improve the residential parking resource use efficiency, and improve the satisfaction of owner.

With the continuous development of education informatization, how to integrate wisdom education into teaching has important practical significance today. After years of development, the campus network has been basically popularized, and the application of informatization has gradually penetrated into teaching, management, and services. The field has increasingly become an important channel for teachers and students to obtain information, enrich knowledge, and learn to communicate. It has played an active role in promoting education reform and development, promoting ideological and cultural exchanges, and enriching the spiritual life of teachers and students. This paper analyzes the background, concepts, characteristics of the smart learning environment, and analyzes the smart learning environment. Finally, taking the creation of a smart classroom as an example, it provides insights on how to create a smart learning environment.

Exploration on Theoretical and Practical Projects of Software Architecture Course 软件体系结构课程理论与实践项目探索

It has been widely recognized that software architecture is one of the hard courses to teach in software engineering. First, it is usually difficult to update the knowledge written in textbooks with the rapidly developed practical progress. Accordingly, we need to teach students how to follow the state-of-the-art research works within both academic and industrial context. Secondly, due to the fact that students are lacking practical experience on the design and development of large-scale systems, it is difficult for them to deeply understand the theory and rationality of software architecture. Accordingly, we need to teach students how to cope with practical problems based on the learnt theoretical work. This paper presents our exploration on designing theoretical and practical projects of software architecture course for postgraduate students during the last ten years. We aim to improve students’ ability to investigate cutting-edge achievements and concerns in academia and industry, to understand, analyze, and design industrial software architecture based on open-source systems. Furthermore, we expect and encourage students’ potential to become software architects. This paper details our project setup and discusses the feedbacks, and shows the benefits of our projects.
