Terrorism is a serious threat faced by countries and nations, including Indonesia. Terrorism is considered a crime against humanity, an international crime that endangers world security and peace, and harms the welfare of society. One of the efforts to overcome the threat of terrorism is through the implementation of the new Criminal Code (KUHP) which was formalized through Law Number 1 Year 2023. This new Criminal Code replaces the old Criminal Code that has been in effect since the Dutch East Indies colonial period. This study aims to analyze the role of the new Criminal Code in efforts to eradicate criminal acts of terrorism in Indonesia. The research method used is legal research with a normative juridical approach, with data collection techniques through literature studies. Data analysis is conducted qualitatively, involving the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result shows that the new Criminal Code has an important role in the effort to eradicate terrorism in Indonesia. The replacement of the old Criminal Code with the new one includes a more comprehensive regulation of the crime of terrorism and in accordance with the demands of modern times, such as providing clearer and more complete definitions, more severe criminal penalties, and firmer and clearer provisions on the prevention of criminal acts. Therefore, the New Criminal Code can be an effective instrument in the effort to eradicate terrorism in Indonesia

The development of Frans Seda Airport land addition as a strategic tourism and economic door is faced with a conflict. The problems that occur are caused by the transfer of community agrarian land that is converted by the government. The transfer of land ownership or land chosen by the community was not in line with the cost of land compensation that was provided, causing conflict escalation. The purpose of this research is to describe the conflict resolution of Frans Seda Airport Development in Sikka Regency to realize national security. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through literature study. Based on the results of the research, it can be understood that the phenomenon of land conversion that occurs in Sikka Regency as a result of the airport development policy has several social impacts. The impacts are the shift of agrarian land into additional land for the airport, the loss of agricultural land as a source of livelihood for the surrounding community, the emergence of pro and contra attitudes in the community, and the emergence of social conflicts. The social conflicts are between the pro and con communities (horizontal conflict), and the contra communities, and the Sikka regional government (vertical conflict). Peace efforts were made by both government and non-government institutions. The Sikka Regional Government made persuasive efforts to mediate the conflicting parties. Litigation as a resolution is then initiated with dialogue, negotiation, and individual approaches, as well as maximizing compensation and community empowerment. Resolution orientation to conflict transformation is dominant in mediating conflicts. It is hoped that this research will contribute to encouraging functional groups to formulate a cross-sectoral, integrated, and coordinated agrarian conflict resolution mechanism for the development of public interests.

Gunung Halu Village, Tangsi Jaya hamlet to reach 250 people in 2023, is faced with significant challenges related to the need for sustainable energy. The energy crisis and environmental issues have encouraged research into alternative energy sources, including Micro Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH), especially in areas with abundant water potential such as Gunung Halu, namely the Ciputri River. The main problem currently being faced is that the PLTMH, which was built in 2007 with a capacity of 18 kW has experienced overload due to population growth and increasing household electronic needs. The aim of the research is to determine the potential of PLTMH in Gunung Halu, develop ways to optimize PLTMH to provide the community's electricity needs and optimize PLTMH as an alternative option for TNI training areas. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method which is carried out in depth so that it is supported by literature studies and then combined with field observation data, interviews and documentation. The research results show that the PLTMH that can be optimized on Gunung Halu is 30 kW by optimizing turbine efficiency and considering changes in height differences according to the characteristics of the area. In conclusion, it was found that optimizing the PLTMH is important to provide adequate electrical energy and support TNI training so that it hopes to become sustainable energy and a practical solution to increase local energy independence and support national defense.

On September 15, 2021 United States President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison agreed on a new defense pact, called AUKUS . AUKUS can be said to be a continuation of America's strategy in an effort to counteract the development of China's influence in the Indo-Pacific region which has become increasingly massive due to several Asian countries' policies, such as the Nine Dash Line, One China Policy, Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), to economic improvement and significant military annually. Previously, the US had also strengthened the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD) cooperation up to Five Eye as an effort to counter China's developments. China, which views the defense pact as a highly irresponsible threat and an open challenge to their growing influence in the Indo-Pacific. This paper will analyze China's influence in the Indo-Pacific Region after the emergence of the formation of the AUKUS alliance . The topics were analyzed using the Regional Security Complex Theory using a qualitative descriptive method. Upon further analysis , it can be seen that there were significant differences in China's influence before and after the formation of the AUKUS alliance in the Indo-Pacific Region.

The rapid development of technology in the twenty-first century has shifted the security dimension in international relations. Countries around the world have found other promising geopolitical spaces apart from air, land, and sea namely outer space. Great power countries such as the United States, Russia, and The People’s Republic of China (PRC) have been developed their military capability through advanced technology to militarize outer space. The various purpose and interest of great power in outer space has increased military competition that creates uncertainty. In the twenty-first century, the militarization of outer space by major powers presents the greatest challenges to minor states. Concerns have been expressed regarding the ability of small states to maintain peace and stability on a national, regional, and international scale due to their technological weakness. Drawing upon a Kantian Triangle framework comprising democracy, economic interdependence, and international organization as means to foster peace and avert conflict within the anarchical system of international politics, this study will concentrate on the militarization of outer space by small states.
