In this work we tried to examine the relationship between commercial openness and some of its determinants which can be analyzed by models of gravity. In this regard, we reached the investigation by both empirical and theoretical perspective. The first part was devoted to the analysis of diverse measurements of openness especially the new approach, whereas in the second part we examined the previous relationship by using two different measures of the openness through econometric modelling of panel composed of countries in the world via gravity models.

Competition is a system of economic relations that involves a large number of buyers and sellers , each acts independently from one another to achieve the maximum possible profit , especially with the economic development that has led to the so-called universality of the markets and get a number of changes at the global level. Particularly, with regard to the abolition of the traditional barriers for the flow of goods and services according to WTO’s agreements which make this competition moves from the domestic to global dimension, the most important objective of the institutions becomes to gain a lasting competitive advantage that enables it to impose itself in the market and increase its share of it. It thus represents a critical element which provides an essential opportunity to achieve the objective of the organization in making of its products the favourite in the markets where it activates.

Due to the special perception of accounting which is classified as a science on its own and given the ongoing and permanent need of the accounting work in any society, the accounting knowledge is receiving great importance as many other scientific knowledge. This is to the degree that the mechanisms of knowledge management have affected heavily accounting practices, by developing many of them and improving the accounting standards associated with them. The accounting has now a functional dimension as a science with interests that exceeded the procedural framework of registration methods and tab data. Thus, managing the process of organizing, standardizing and developing accounting knowledge has become inevitable as it interferes directly with the characteristics required in the financial information that ensure its efficiency when making decisions.

After the Britton Woods Agreement 1944,the US Dollar occupied a prominent place in the World Economy, to replace gold and sterling as a principal instruments of payment in international transactions, and a principal reserve currency. By 1999, the Euro currency appeared as a strong competitor for the USD in the view of the status in which enjoyed by the Euro-zone economy in the world. This concurrence has affected on the stability of the international monetary system that prompted some countries to create other currency in objective to replace the U.S. currency. But, in spite of this fact, the dollar remains also the stronger currency in the world.
