Einstellungsänderungen zur Sprache im Fachunterricht von Lehramtsstudierenden der beruflichen Bildung 研究生专业课程态度的转变

Language is essential for (subject) learning. Positive attitudes of teachers are assumed to be influential factors for language promotion, e. g. with regard to responsibility, language sensitivity and the appreciation of multilingualism. We investigate to what extent an educational science seminar in vocational education and training brings about changes in attitudes in this respect. The collection of data via questionnaires (Fischer et al. 2018) in a pre-post design took place in teacher training courses in vocational education. The results show that the intervention has prepared or strengthened an awareness of the link between language and subject, however the responsibility for language promotion and attitudes towards multilingualism have not changed significantly.

Das Vorstellungsgespräch bei der Ausbildungssuche 和训练的一部分

Adolescents that attend a vocational school are at the transit from school to work, therefore they have to face various challenges concerning the imminent job search. This praxis-based project will be demonstrating grounded on the current developments of the employment market, which high requirements are already demanded from the adolescents in the application for a training place considering the more and more complex working environment. Especially the interview that is carried out by the company within the qualification test is decisively and should be practiced more at school. The concept as presented here of an appropriated, integrated training program and its implementation should put the learners in the position to correspond the training company’s demands regarding the career choice and the training maturity better, particularly in terms of the learners linguistic, personal and social competences.

The exercises outlined in this publication are particularly useful for students from grade 8 to 10 who try to attain their first professional qualification. For students already in training, the use of the telephone is important, too. Conversational situations, having a key role here, can be found in the texts linked in the bibliography as well as in the further exercise material. Language level B1/B2 is required.
