Background: The lockdown across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic forced all educational institutions, including the Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) conduct online classes to compensate for the loss of the academic period. Among all the available applications, the dedicated platform “Distant.tsul.uz” turned out to be a more convenient application with many built-in functions. After a few months of use platforms for classes in the criminal law department, a feedback survey was conducted to find out the effectiveness of online classes and the advantages and disadvantages of the platform. Material and Methods: The questionnaire, which contained both objective and open questions, was for more than a hundred 2nd year students who took online classes conducted by the department of Criminal law, criminology and fight against corruption. Results: According to students, taking online classes was the best way to use isolation time (51%). The students found the platform very user-friendly and easy to use. They felt that using anytime, anywhere and constant access to materials (91%) were advantages of the platform. Lack of free internet, network problems are the main problems in using this tool. Conclusion: A dedicated university platform is the best way to leverage the time of the pandemic to offset the loss of academic performance. The website “distant.tsul.uz” (1) is an effective teaching tool.

The aim of the study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the published articles related to science misconceptions. For this purpose, bibliometric analyses have been carried out with 859 articles published in physics, chemistry, and biology education between 1986 and 2019. The articles have been obtained through Web of Science Core Collection database using “science misconceptions” keyword and the tendencies in the last 33 years are presented. The selected articles were put through bibliometric analysis to identify the results for the annual distributions of the articles; the average citation scores; the list of the journals that published the highest number of related articles; the list of the authors that had published the highest number of related articles; the citation burst scores of the authors; the scientific productivity of the countries of the authors; the articles that were cited at the highest rates; collaboration networks; and their patterns that were obtained through text mining methods of word cloud and word tree. The results indicate that there has been an increase in the interest in science misconceptions after 2010. The journal that has the highest number of publications on the issue is found to be Journal of Science Education while David F. Treagust is identified to have the highest number of articles published on the topic so far. The article that has been cited the highest is Furtak’s article published in 2012. The findings also show that Korea and China are the countries that are open to collaboration the most and that the most frequently used keywords are determined to be “science” and “students”. The results are meant to guide researchers in the field in their future studies.

. This study seeks to investigate the effect of Problem-based Learning (PBL) strategy on developing the critical thinking skills of students in middle schools in a science subject. The design of this study involves a quasi-experimental design in which pre and post-tests were used to examine the development of the critical thinking skills of students. Forty students were randomly selected from a high school in Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi district in Karak governorate, Jordan for the school year 2019-2020. The students were divided into two groups (controlled and experimental) in which the students in the controlled group does not receive instruction, unlike the experimental group which receives instruction concerning (PBL) The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the tests’ scores before and after the intervention. The researcher found that PBL has an effective role in improving the critical thinking skills of the students based on the result of the mean analysis, standard deviation, and t-test. memorization, indoctrination, and neglect of students' intellectual and creative abilities. Therefore, this study examines the effect of the problem-based learning strategy (PBL) on critical thinking skills in the biology course of high school students. This study is based on a curriculum that was adapted for biology education using PBL. The present study seeks to provide an answer to the following main question:
