The work examines two main interpretations of the objectivity of knowledge in the philosophy of K. Popper. The first includes an assessment of the properties of theories, namely, belief in their meaningfulness and/or truth. The second refers to the role of the subject and the scientific community in the process of cognition, with the subject viewed as asource of errors and the community as a source of objectivity. Criticism of the postpositivist direction of the philosophy of science shows the inconsistency of such an approach, therefore, this work proposes an under-standing of the objectivity of knowledge through an appeal to the mechanisms of the subject's perception.

For many decades the methodology of “Rational Reconstruction”, which was also labeled as the appropriation-ism or presentism, dominates the Early modern philosophy scholarship. In the core of the methodology was the claims that one can read the Early Modern thinkers as 'colleagues' to the Modern Philosophy and the “Whig” interpretation of relation between the Early modern science and philosophy. Recently, the Early modern philoso-phy scholarship witnesses the methodological transformation that Ch. Mercer proposed to term as the “Contextu-alist Revolution”. In my paper I briefly contours the “Rational Reconstruction” methodology. Then I discuss the main claims of the Contextualist methodology and describe the innovative revisions results that it introduced brought in the Early modern scholarship.

This presentation deals with the Aristotelian interpretation of the Thesis of Protagoras (TP) in Metaphysics Γ and its connection with Plato's Theaetetus. Particular attention is paid to the dispute about the difference between two formulations of TP, which takes place among modern scholars. If the first formulation only denies Principle of Non-Contradiction, the second allows Aristotle to interpret TP in the context of the teaching of Anaxagoras.

The thesis considers the problem of influence family relationships on formation of worldview and character of leaders of Slavophilism: A.S. Khomyakov and I.V. Kireevsky. Author concludes that activity in Khom-yakov’s character was due to role played by his mother in family. As for more theoretical character of Kireevsky we suppose that it was related with the character of his own mother and was influenced by the life without father.

We analyze contemporary thought experiments with some Zeno objects and infinity machines. On the one hand, we continue to analyze the examples from Hawthorne, 2000, pointing out the incompleteness of our comprehension of the examples from this paper. On the other hand, using a mode of reasoning associated with that of Hawthorne, 2000, we show how Zeno of Elea’s Dichotomy can be made immune to its traditional refutation.

Argumentation by J. E. McTaggart uses among others the concept of "specious present", which describes the phenomenal experience of the present and the recent past. McTaggart argues since an event may be in the past for one, and inside the specious present and, therefore, in the present for another, we get a contradiction that illus-trates the unreality of time. However, since the apparent present can only include the past factualy, this argument cannot be applied.

In the paper I deal with the concept of legal responsibility in Antiphon viewed against the background of popular Greek distinction between natural and positive law. Ta eikota (probable inferences), as we will see, are opposed in Antiphon to ergon or ta pragmata (the facts), but this does not solve and even worsen all the interpretative difficulties.

Theoretical knowledge may contain various levels of abstraction represented by logical constructions from the observed characteristics of objects from the subject area of the theory. The degree of abstractness can be de-scribed by the complexity of the structures obtained from the initial observational terms. Such auxiliary construc-tions are characterized as explicit or implicitdefinitions of theoretical concepts in terms of observational. One of the techniques for constructing such definitions is the operationalization of abstractions by a system of reduction sentences. In this case a theoretical concept is characterized as “open” and plays a role of logical and methodo-logical constraints for expanding the possible connections of the theoretical model with the help of concepts from the domain of intended practical application.
