The signal processing of Lamb wave is complex because of its multi-mode and frequency-dispersion characteristics. A method to analyze symmetrical single-mode ultrasonic Lamb wave in the time domain is presented. Based on the analysis of frequency-dispersion characteristic of symmetrical mode Lamb wave, we deduced the half analytic expression of its time signal, and implemented simulation computation to the time signal of the zero-order symmetrical mode Lamb wave which had propagated in the aluminum lamina for a distance. The change of waveform with the propagation distance in different frequency bands is analyzed. The simulation result indicated the method could effectively compute the time waveform of single-mode Lamb wave. The method could offer the theoretical foundation for the application of symmetrical Lamb wave measuring technique in the time domain.

Web page is the main contents on the World Wide Web. Similarity of Web pages is very helpful for Web content analysis. Text similarity, usually called similarity computation, has been investigated for decades in artificial intelligence area. Some similarity computation methods have been used to compare Web pages. However, text based similarity computation methods are incompetent for Web page comparing, because Web page consists of not only text but also multimedia contents, such as image, audio, video and so on. This paper proposes a new approach to evaluate the similarity of Web pages considering all the contents on them. It can make Web page similarity computation exactly and bring benefits for Web analysis.

A new nonlinear compensation technique to capacitor pressure sensor (CPS) based on least square support vector regression (LSSVR) is proposed. In this technique, LSSVR is used as an inverse model of the CPS; therefore, the proposed technique can automatically compensate the effect of the associated non-linearity to estimate the applied pressure. Furthermore, the flexibility of the proposed technique effectively compensates any variation of the CPS's output occurring due to change in environmental temperature. The results of actual CPS compensation experiment indicate that this LSSVR approach is a useful alternative to the existing ones. This technique would be useful for other types of sensors such as thermocouples, flow sensors, magnetometer etc., possessing similar nonlinear response characteristics. The presented method has a potential future in the field of instrumentation and measurement.

VPN(virtual Private network) provide a cost-effective means of connecting an organization and its partners when compared to the cost of a private network. A VPN provides a secure channel link over the Internet between project partners. This paper gives a brief introduction of fundamentals and implementations of the VPN, the comparison between characteristics and technologies of the traditional and based on IPsee VPN. Through studying IPsec, we presented a method of designing hub-and-spoke VPN system based on IPsec, which has been used for automobile collaborative design.

This paper studies on the morbidity problem for the GM(1,1) model with the accumulating method based on the condition number theory. It proves that we can get a new healthier model by making a multiple transformation on the initial data, and the transformation does not affects the precision of the model. Therefore, the morbidity problem for the GM(1,1) model has been resolved very well with the accumulating method. Furthermore, we give an example to prove that the proposed method can ensure the stability and reliability of the estimation with high quality in the grey system. As a result, it is certain that the GM(1,1) model with the accumulating method has a good application in the future indeed.

The mechanical resonance of the micro-milling machine tool directly influences machining precision of workpieces. This article introduced the design of notch filter applied in micro-milling servo control. Based on a novel miniaturized three-axis NC micro-milling machine tool, the notch filter was designed and used successfully. The servo test and micro-milling experiment results indicated that the use of notch filter can reduce the influence of mechanical resonance on the machining precision effectively.

Uncertainty and grey often exist in many practical decision making problems. Aiming at this trait, we consider these two features when making decision and show the grey fuzzy set by combining membership degree with grey degree. In this paper, in view of the characteristics of grey fuzzy number, grey fuzzy comprehensive relation degree is defined. And present a method about the relation degree analysis for grey fuzzy multi-attribute decision making. This method is simple and practical. And the decision-making results is more objective and credible.

Nowadays traffic classification is a fundamental process for Internet traffic management devices and Internet applications need accurate, high performance and scalable traffic classification. Traditional traffic classification is inaccurate and elementary because they are based on imprecise transport layer port method and have unacceptably memory access latency in packet processing. In this paper, we discuss an accurate multi-stage traffic classification in gigabits Internet traffic management systems using multi-threaded processor. Firstly, we address the problem of inaccurate packet classification and analyze payload of applications and standard protocols. Secondly, we present a multi-stage traffic classification using packet header fields and payload string. Finally, we present the software pipeline architecture and hardware design for our approach with network processor. We used our approach to monitor a carrier's backbone node for a month. Compared with traditional methods, the multi-stage traffic classification has 91% accuracy in a real network environment.

Traditional CT reconstructions are limited by many kinds of artifacts, and they give dissatisfactory image. To reduce image noise and artifacts, we propose a statistical iterative method for image reconstruction in cone-beam CT. First the theory of maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) is extended from emission CT to X-ray scan, then an expectation-maximization (EM) formula is deduced for direct reconstruction of cone-beam CT. EM algorithm is an iterative method that can produce good quality reconstruction, but compared with fast and robust FDK algorithm, EM algorithm is computer intensive and convergence slow. In order to accelerate the convergence speed of EM algorithm, ordered subset (OS) is applied in Cone-beam CT. Experimental results with computer simulated data and real CT data show that OS-EM algorithm can provide good quality reconstructions after only a few iterations. In addition, the point spread function of the OS-EM algorithm is analyzed for evaluating the imaging system performance.
