A novel endless polarization control algorithm based on simulated annealing (SA) algorithm is proposed. The application of the SA algorithm in a fast feedback polarization controller (PC) constructed by four electro-optic ceramic variable waveplates for the continuous conversion of the state of polarization (SOP) is presented. The experiment results show that the fluctuation of the light intensity in the desired output SOP is less than 2 % for a random input SOP. It is demonstrated that, this SA-based PC can run reset-freely and the response time is less than 400mus.

Both of temporal dependence and contemporaneous dependence are primary dependence relationship of time series vector. In economic and financial applications, one is often interested in estimating or forecasting certain characteristics of a time series given known conditions. Considering both classes of dependence and constructing conditional dependence model of bivariate Markov time series of order 1. Based on this conditional model, the moment and quantile functions of bivariate vector and univariate series are studied and a simulating way for the q th conditional quantile of bivariate vector is proposed. They are useful of measure of portfolio risk in the risk management.

Structure constrained parallel factor (PARAFAC) model, which combines the structural property of communication signal with the PARAFAC analysis, was presented in this paper. The uniqueness property of the model was discussed and developed. Structure constrained trilinear alternative least square (SCTALS) algorithm was proposed to fit the constrained model. Simulation results showed that, compared to the normal PARAFAC model, the structure constrained PARAFAC was more suitable to describe communication signal. The blind signal processing algorithm based on the constrained model had better fitting performance, and still worked well in some conditions where the normal PARAFAC-based algorithm failed.

At present, isolated and single network security system can no longer meet the objective needs. As a new type of network, trusted network can make up many of the traditional network security flaws. Based on the analysis of the background and motivation of trusted network, the article discussed the concept and basic properties. It analyzed the architecture of trusted network and the functions of its composition. Finally, the article discussed one of models of the trusted network management platform and described its functions.

As a new theory for studying non-linear complex systems, fractal geometry has received much attention recently. Based on the relationship between length of curve and change of scale as well as the idea that a closed curve is formed by a certain amount of unclosed curves, we present an improved Douglas-Peuker method (IDPM) based algorithm. Our algorithm can not only keep the shape and details of the closed curve but also take advantage of the research achievements of the unclosed curves. In addition, it simplifies the operation and reduces the preserved points while rebuilding boundary of graph.

The use of continuous-time hidden Markov models for network protocol and application performance evaluation has been validated to simulate network environments. In this paper, we develop a better algorithm to infer the continuous-time hidden Markov model from a series of end-to-end delay and loss observation of probing packets. We prove the algorithm's feasibility by theory deduction and realize numerable validation by comparing the probability of the observed sequence produced by the model inferred by different methods. The algorithm complexity is lower.

In this paper, the guaranteed cost control with adjustable parameters for linear time-delay systems is studied. Firstly, the guaranteed cost controller with adjustable parameters is designed, and the sufficient condition for the controller existing is given in the form of LMI. And then, by designing the adaptive law of adjustable parameter, the adaptive guaranteed cost control is discussed. When adjustable parameters take different values, the guaranteed cost value and the feedback gains are also different. Different feed-back gains lead to different dynamic performance of closed-loop systems, therefore, the dynamic performance of closed-loop systems can be optimized and the guaranteed cost value can be reduced by choosing proper adjustable parameters. By designing adaptive law of the adjustable parameter, and introducing it into the stability conditions of closed-loop systems, the feedback gains which change with time are gotten. Compared with the results by fixed feedback gains, the proposed method leads to less conservatism. Simulation example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

In this paper we present a novel adaptive ground clutter removal algorithm for high range resolution MMW-radar application where the dielectric contrast between the air and the ground material is close to or even higher than that between the target and the surrounding medium. Most of the ground clutter removal algorithms used nowadays, show weak performances in the case of a rough ground surface or suffer from high computation complexity. The algorithm presented in this contribution is capable to remove the ground clutter resulting from undulated surfaces by estimating not only the position but also the varying signal shape and enables a near optimal ground clutter reduction with a moderate computation complexity.
