This article analyzes, in a historic-speculative key, the relation between being and thinking in Parmenides, from what has been called the “second beginning” of Metaphysics. This proposal argues that it would have gone from a science of the first being to a science of the first known. From these possible Metaphysics, two interpretations of that relation arise, one that affirms the identity between being and thinking, and one that suggests their confluence. The latter position would be closer to a Metaphysics of the first known and would also allow to propose a comprehension of being that would be more comprehensive than that of the Metaphysics of the first being.

A new translation of the doubtful platonic dialogue Rivals in love is presented, accompanied by an introduction to the text and explanatory notes. The dialogue, present in the corpus of Platonic works, invites us to reflect on the definition of philosophy and its object of study, sufficient conditions to justify its reconsideration as a philosophical work.

This article gathers the cinematographic adaptations of the episode of Orpheus and Eurydice in order to establish the transformations and the different objectives of its inclusion in this type of works. The analysis of the films showed that four raise issues related to the artistic medium (Orphée, Vous n’avez encore rien vu, Parking, Me ton Orfea ton Avgousto) and six deal with social problems (Orfeu Negro, Orfeu, The Fugitive Kind, Orpheus Descending, Evridiki BA 2O37, Shredder Orpheus).

Gnostic soteriology indicates that those who nourish the spiritual element by internalizing knowledge will be saved. This has been interpreted as a static anthropology that divides humanity into three types of fixed natures and each corresponds to a pre-established type of salvation or condemnation. Confusion that comes from different conceptions about the uniqueness of man. In the present work, we will seek to base this hypothesis by comparing the position of Irenaeus of Lyons in Against Heresies with that of the Gnostic texts: Gospel of Truth (NH I, 3), the Treatise on the Resurrection (NH) I, 4) and the Apocryphon of James (NH I, 2).
