However, its denotation has been traditionally attached to negative ideas, such as weakness, passivity or susceptibility to abuse, which results in the victimisation of vulnerable subjects. In this article I aim to reorient the notion of vulnerability, understanding it as a permeable and dynamic term that facilitates the ethical encounter among individuals and that helps vulnerable subjects to regain agency. With this approach, two very popular novels are analysed: Paula Hawkins’s The Girl on the Train (2015), and Into the Water (2017). Drawing from Judith Butler’s notion of the epistemological frames and Emmanuel Levinas’s ethical encounter, the female leading characters of the novels are analysed. In this way, a reflection on the current ways of exploiting women’s vulnerability in contemporary west societies is provided. This leads to conclude that vulnerability can be used as a tool of resistance against patriarchal customs
Judith Butler Drawing from’s notion of the epistemological的帧和Emmanuel Levinas伦理encounter浓汤导致characters of the novels are analysed。

The Mexican’s Conditional Cash Transfer program, Progresa, included gender equality and empowerment of women as part of its original design goals. Progresa’s gender approach was implemented in two ways. First, the program allocated a larger cash incentive for girls to attend school than for boys and mothers, rather than fathers, received the cash payments to alter intra-household relations and promote gender equality. This article argues that institutions, actors and ideas could explain the Progresa gendered design. Policy entrepreneurs –femocratas, convinced by gender equality ideas and integrated in gender mainstreaming institutions– have designed Progresa with gender equality objectives

This article aims at showing why the political project that Paul-B. Preciado calls «counter-sexual» clashes on principle with the political project of feminism. By counter-sexuality Preciado means the production of fictions and enjoyments that invert, subvert or recombine the fictions of the hegemonic heteronormative system, while by sexuality feminism –together with the World Health Organization– understands the vital and creative energy irreducible to socio-political or biological determinations. The current analysis will be strictly philosophical and will attempt to expose the radical incompatibility between the socio-linguistic antirealism of queer theories, constructivist in terms of gender and relativist on ethical-political matters, and the material neo-realism of feminism, articulated by complex, interactive, and integrated paradigms

This study analyzes, from a gender perspective, the profile of Argentine university and high school teachers in relation to their perceptions about their digital competences, with the type of digital tools that they incorporate into their practices and their experience in ICT for teaching. This study was developed after a year of emergency remote teaching in Argentina in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The information was collected from a self-administered questionnaire answered by 1149 teachers at that level. The analysis shows significant gender differences in length of service, in the type of institution to which they belong, in the disciplinary areas where teachers work, in the perception of teachers about their own digital skills, in the experience of use and in the type of digital tools used to mediate teaching.

The proposal in the present article is to reflect on the use of the technological tools, and in special, the social networks among Moroccan women at present. We pretend to remark these technological tools favored freedom of expression for women in big cities. However, the difference in terms of economy and society around the country produces a situation in which women have less opportunities than men in poorer zones. Therefore, in those areas the arrival of Internet has created a gender gap even more extended.

Recently, in social networks such as Instagram, it is common to find non-normative bodies challenging the hegemonic ideals that govern over the bodies. Focusing on the activism in social networks, this investigation addresses the representations and narratives about the female body of three Body Positive Fers. At the same time, this study includes three other types of participants: specialists in gender topics, body and Body Positive; fat activists and/or Body Neutrality with a critical perspective about the Body Positive movement; and followers of Body Positive accounts. Firstly, we identify the digital trajectories, profiles and content of the Instagrammers. Secondly, we analyze the representations of the female body that they show on their profiles. Thirdly, we examine the narratives about the female body that Instagrammers promote as a response to hegemonical body ideals.
